It's clear that most people don't enjoy what Fairy Ranmaru has to offer, while other people (like myself) think that it's entertaining. I would say that if you like campy, ironic nonsense, then you have potential to enjoy this anime! It's weird, it doesn't take itself very seriously, and it's super over-the-top. However, if you realy value "well-written" plot and characters, then this show probably isn't for you. It's not "good" in a conventional sense, but there's still a lot to love here for people who want a good laugh. Hope this helps!! |

| So far not really no. It is still airing so I am not sure what is going to happen in the second half. That being said, It is very niche. I wouldn't recommend this to just anybody as a "must see" series. But if you are a fan of magical girls I think this is a fun deconstruction. Six episodes in and I rate it an 8/10. The animation can be a bit stiff at times and I think the plot is intentionally semi generic. I enjoy the episodes though and am excited to see how it wraps itself up. I think it could be a good binge once it all releases. I think many people dislike it because of the homoerotic undertones and the fact that they might not get the references. I could imagine if I didn't LOVE magical girl anime and 90s shōjo anime/manga in general I would enjoy this less because it is very strange. There is quite a bit of fanservice on the male characters too. Part of me feels like a bunch of people (who arn't really the target audience) watched the first episode and downvoted it to hell to be funny and simply because this isn't your typical isekai male power fantasy generic anime (which can be fun, but not everything is RE:Zero). "Bad" and "Good" are hella subjective honestly, but no this series is not as bad as it looks on here. |
| It's that kind of "so bad it's good" show. I definitely cringed a lot watching it but at the same time I get kind of curious to see where it goes. There's a lot of subtle world building and set up and by episode 5-6 it seems to be turning into one of those shows that are deliberately weird the first few eps and then gets really serious in the other half. |
| I mean, I enjoy the hot guys. The story isn't well developed enough yet for me to say, but there is an interesting lore regarding the origins of the characters and it'll get better if they focus on that. There's worse things out there for sure, but people hate it because it's aimed at women. |

| The show is definitely not as bad as the rating suggests atm. You could say the show tries to be Ikuhara but fails at that but it still is very much enjoyable if you're into magical girls shows because it is exactly that. A magical girl show but with guys. It doesn't have the best story as of yet but I fail to see how this is ranked so much worse than shows with a very similar premise like all the precure shows etc. If you ask me it's just that the straight dudebros can't understand that not every show needs to cater to their fetishes and that indeed shows can exist that cater to gay men and straight woman for a change of pace lol. |
| to be honest lots of the review bombing is coming from people salty that it's sexualizing men. you'll see people rate this a 2 and then give redo of healer a 9. the bias is so clear. granted, I am not gonna act like this show is the most amazing anime ever. But keep in mind that a lot of what it offers so far is aesthetic. Aside from the fanservice, the art style and music are really great. The story could be better, the characters are likable for the most part, but even at 8 episodes in a lot of it is still shrouded in mystery. |

| It's fun. There is nothing 'wow' about it, but it's quite decent and enjoyable. |
| A year late into this, but I find the show pretty entertaining and gripping, many of the stories are actually quite compelling in it and memorable, especially the ones about down to earth people being taken advantaged of by their circumstances or coworkers/bosses, etc. |
