Chihayafuru
| No they're completely different. Sangatsu is a character drama before anything else whereas Chihayafuru is more similar to a high intensity sport show with a shoujo romance side plot. |
| haven't watched 3-gatsu no lion yet, but I can tell you now that chihayafuru is a full on sports anime but with cards; sprinkled with just a BIT of character drama throughout. |

| Similar, and better. While March is a depressing story about a brilliant chess player talking about his negative worldly observations, this one is a brilliant anime about a girl trying to spark an old friendship with their favorite card game. It’s well worth trying out at the very least. |

| Yes they are very similar in terms of both shows focus on the character development more than the sport (at least from my perspective) |

The one advantage chihayfuru has is that the story is uplifting and creates positive emotions whereas March can often leave you feeling empty. That’s not to say I’m implying March is bad by any means, you can see the score I gave both seasons on my page. |

| Both have at least good supporting cast... but other than that they're not really similar Sharmat_00 said: woah someone agrees that Chihaya is very annoying. It's also for me one of the most annoying characters I ever sawNever saw 3 gatsu no lion. But I personally think chihayafuru is ridiculously overrated. Heres a few reasons why I suffered immense boredom while watching 75 episodes of this crap. It tries to have the tension of a sports anime but fails, chihaya is probably in my top 5 most annoying characters list, there are too many inner monologues, every scene is drawn out way too long, chihaya is only capable of talking about karuta and nothing else meaning shes incredibly one dimensional, too much drama, characters aren't interesting, chihaya is a selfish bitch who forces her whims on other people, the anime literally talks about nothing but karuta so its boring if you dont care about karuta, chihaya is a PoS who strings guys along in order to get what she wants without caring about others feelings until it becomes a problem for her, chiyaha is boring, chihaya is bland, chihaya is the worst human to grace the earth, I hate her, I hate her, I hate her. Seriously, if every problem I had with this show was solved except chihaya I would still give this show a 5/10 because she is so insufferable. |
