From the muted colors to the lack of sound, the girl is pretty much on mute until she gets on the Super Cub. Suddenly the world comes alive around her. Absolute loved this, my favorite premier of the season so far, this is gonna fit nicely into the SoL niche that Non Non Biyori and Yuru Camp filled last season. |

| Actually a beautiful episode. I was like "This is how you do a sol!" When She got on the bike and the art in the anime got brighter. That was an awesome moment because the Cub has now brought light into Koguma's life. Beautiful. Looking forward to seeing her development from here. |

| My god I love the direction in this episode. From laid-back, quiet no-cub scenes to the warm, wonderfully composed music cub scenes, it strikes a contrast that feels impactful and relaxing. That convenience store trip was especially emotional, with how simple and relatable it is without overdramatizing it. Honestly, contender for AOTS so far. |

And this show made it look like main girl magically had all the training a bike guy gets in the first weeks in just a day. Bakuon! might had been an exagerated version of bikers, but at least it was more accurate on how riders gather the knowledge and get used to ridding a bike for the very first time. |
| The first episode was pretty good so far, I like the direction. Also, the fact that she got the plate with the letter γ (which is may sound like ζ» -death) right after the shop owner told her that Cub has a kill count was quite ominous IMO. |

Those kind of vehicles are pretty hard to sell and a lot cheaper than normal one, luckily there's also some people (like Koguma) just really don't care about that and willing to buy because of the affordable price. 1- With 120$ I can find a used Cub in my country so I think 10000 yen is a reasonable price for that bike. |

| Mmm, dat direction with no music and barely any sounds. It's almost comforting with the rural vibe and it's harder to pull off than it looks. When it's just her and her bike, approaching the problems methodically, that's quite satisfying from an engineering mind. The CG was a bit stiff in some cuts and with weird textures plastered on the models, but they managed to blend it in well for the most part. It's going to be interesting if they manage to keep it this simple and grounded. |

| You guys noticed how when the engine kicked in, the colours just poured in just like a joy to her life. Amazing detail. Dedinetely the black horse of the season. What a pleasant surprise. |

| Great first episode. I really enjoyed the mood and tone of the anime. Debussy's music is also a perfect fit for the scenes. The art direction is decent (despite some out-of-place CGI, but that can be overlooked) and especially the sound design is beyond perfect! |

| How much are 10,000 yen to dollars? Considering that 3 people died in it, my superstition would prevent me from buying it, unless the old man had deceived her and was a kind person The 3dcg is noticeable, last season with yuru camp I hardly realized it, I think it is because the characters are very round, I would not know how to describe it However the quality is acceptable, let's hope they keep it! | I had anxiety watching this episode, I'm not ever going to think about getting a scooter. The engine not starting is my new nightmare The CGI is alright but could be better  Overall, it seems like a pretty chill and relaxing anime, I'll probably continue watching it |
| What a wholesome premiere, this might just be able to fill the emptiness Yuru Camp left behind and who would have thought Koguma also lives in the Yamanashi Prefecture just like our Yuru Camp girls. It's a very peaceful and quiet watch so far, Koguma's timid personality is just making me able to experience a very relaxing show. The music fits to perfection, to just complete this relaxing feeling. I will look forward to more of this! |

| This is what I needed. A cute Iyashikei show that comes from the Yamanashi prefecture, just like Yuru Camp. I do feel for Koguma, as she lives on her own and without having any family whatsoever, so the colour palette being faded suits the feeling really well. Eventually, when Koguma goes to sit on the Honda Super Cub for the first time, the colours burst into life, which reflects on Koguma's changing expression. This was a nice touch. =) However, she did learn the hard way of being a motorbike owner with little experience. Getting up to speed where it doesn't hold back the cars or trucks behind you does feel intimidating, but that wasn't bad compared to her midnight trip to the convenience store later on. I did feel sorry for her as she struggled to figure out as to why her Cub wouldn't start, but she did figure out that it was because she ran out of fuel. She was able to locate her fuel gauge with the help of the owner's manual, which was under her seat, then switched to her reserve tank and after 3 kick start attempts to bleed the fuel back into the engine, it fired back into life. No wonder this whole ordeal knackered her out. Overall, this first episode was really good and charming. The CGI does get a little overused and movements are a little stiff, but the bikes look very good, as does the visuals for the show itself. Nice addition of the classical tune that played during the episode, too. =D I do look forward to seeing how Koguma develops as a character as well as the other two girls on the main visual. |

I think she doesn't care that much about if she dies, ofc she does not try to suicide or anything but she also wouldn't be that sad if it would end , that's what I understood when she instantly said "I take it" after hearing the deaths. |
| I'm not quite sure who the audience for this show is either. People who just want to look at landscapes and listen to elevator music? I guess at least it's not full of the main character's internal narration. You definitely can't say that there's too much talking here, exposition or otherwise. You don't need much when you're just going to be putting up montage after montage of biking around the village. And the big crisis at the end? She ran out of gas and didn't realize it. General Hospital eat your heart out. I'm honestly not sure what else there even is to say. This could have easily been a five minute episode on length of content, but I'm pretty sure the "nothing happens, tune out your brain and let twenty minutes of your finite life pass by in a blur" is the point. But then just go listen to some dumb ASMR thing on YouTube if that's your bag. God only knows how they stretch this out to an entire season. Usually these kinds of shows are just vehicles for "cute girls doing nothing," but this one seems to be much more focused on selling Honda motorcycles… by looking at shots of landscapes. Not the strangest advertisement for a motor vehicle I've ever seen, but I doubt the most effective. |

Wow this show is amazing, I needed a SoL like this one to replace the hole I had from Yuru Camp. Also, this show made me laugh twice, and also made me sad when she couldn't start the motorbike. This is peak SoL content  Why does there have to be this dark storyline behind this cute story, but I guess it makes sense due to the price tag. |
