South Korean game developer Netmarble announced a television anime for its Seven Knights smartphone role-playing game on Thursday. The anime series, celebrating the game's fifth anniversary, will begin airing in April 2021 under the title Seven Knights Revolution: Eiyuu no Keishousha (Seven Knights Revolution: Heir of Heroes). The company also opened an official website, revealing the main staff, cast, teaser visual (pictured), and teaser promo.

Daiki Yamashita (Chain Chronicle: Haecceitas no Hikari) and Hibiku Yamamura (Senyoku no Sigrdrifa) are starring as Nemo and Faria, respectively.

Staff
Director: Kazuya Ichikawa (Keppeki Danshi! Aoyama-kun, Monster Strike)
Series Composition: Ukyou Kodachi (Chaos Dragon: Sekiryuu Seneki, Gunslinger Stratos The Animation script)
Character Design: Arisa Matsuura (Chuubyou Gekihatsu Boy, Tantei Team KZ Jiken Note)
Music: Yoshiaki Fujisawa (Mushoku Tensei: Isekai Ittara Honki Dasu, Vatican Kiseki Chousakan)
Studio: LIDENFILMS, domerica

Netmarble released the role-playing game in South Korea in March 2014, in English in October 2015, and in Japan in February 2016. The developer ported the game for Nintendo Switch under the title Seven Knights: Jikuu no Tabibito on November 5 and released a second game in the franchise on November 18 last year.

Synopsis
Seven Knights Revolution: Eiyuu no Keishousha is set in a world where eons ago valiant heroes fought against the forces of "Destruction." While their deeds passed into legend, the power of these heroes was later inherited by "successors" who fought to protect the world. One day, Faria, a successor of the Seven Knights, saves an ordinary boy named Nemo from the forces of Destruction.

During the ensuing battle, Nemo summons the power of a hero and becomes a successor as well. However, Nemo's hero is a stranger that is unknown to history, and so an epic journey where the past and present collide begins. (Source: Crunchyroll, edited)

Never played the game but I might have a look at it. I don't have high hopes for this due to the poor quality adaptations of games.

Will watch it nonetheless.

A bit nostalgic with this game. Last time I played the game, there were a lot of rumors saying this game would get anime adaptation (around 4 or 5 years ago). And finally they do it! Might get a shot for this show (with not much expectation).

Parts of it sound not half bad, and the artwork looks nice, but it sounds rather predictable.

Make it a maybe

Looks like another generic fantasy game anime adaptation like King's Raid.

Also, LIDENFILMS is doing another 3 anime series (other 2 being Tokyo Revengers and Sayonara Watashi no Cramer) after doing 4 anime this Winter and the director is also directing 3 anime this Spring (the other 2 being Shakunetsu Kabaddi and Subarashiki Kono Sekai The Animation)... i don't see it going well at all.

Looks good. Never play the game, but I don't have any high expectations when it comes to adapting an anime from a game because I had unpleasant experiences before, but the art, sound, and the story (hopefully) look nice. I'll give it a try once the episode is out.

True, but in this case, I wonder if LIDENFILMS is entirely freelance, and/or if due to delays they got a lot done or something along those lines.

Why can't they adapted original story line? I want to see Teo, Yeonhee, Orly and such going into action.

Also this is 4 year old video of the game when Japan server celebrate 1st anniversary.

Kickstarter for Rokujouma is fully funded. Good work everyone. Lets wait for the result of our hard work together.

Weeeeell THIS is awkward.
Never thought I'd see that name in an anime. Too bad a certain other person will never be as heroic or amazing like that.

Haha well... jokes aside, I've never heard of this game before and the PV actually looks pretty good. Dunno if I'll watch it though since I'll be busy watching a certain other show in the same season and watching this probably would make me laugh several times just out of embarrassment.

I like game adaptations, they tend to be generic but better than cringe af shows atleast.

Hm..... That explains the random crossover inclusion of Seven Knights on KoF mobile game two months ago (Even more random-ish than previous WWE crossover). Netmarble wants to celebrate the anime adaptation of their game, so they make some characters from that game appears on KoFAS (Which is also developed by Netmarble) to promote the anime adaptation and the series overall lol:

As for the anime adaptation........ meh. I'm not sure if I'm interested enough to watch it when it starts airing lol.
