| it's an average anime that is just watchable nothing more than that, nothing special about it, I gave it a 6/10 not because of the ending, I actually think the ending was quite good by this anime's standards. for me personaly I didn't like how half the show felt like the only thing we heard was characters saying "Shio-chan, Shio-chan" every 5 minutes, that was quite annoying to be honest, as annoying as hearing Orihime from Bleach saying "Kurosaki-kun, Kurosaki-kun, Kurosaki-kun". |

| Just finished episode 7 and I think some people don't like it because it's hella disturbing. There are several pedophiles running around. Lots of physical and sexual abuse. While I watch tons of violent shows, it's usually teenagers and adults doing terrible things to each other. An exception to this is Higurashi, and it was horrifying and disturbing to be sure, but I don't recall pedophilia being one of the issues. tl;dr: Pedos are creepy and plenty of people would drop it for that. |
| I love how this thread keeps reviving once in a while. And my take on this (since I too gave it a low ranking). Well my problem with this Anime was more than anything the writing, yeah some characters were straight up bad BUT (imo) it was not the case of the MC, however the story just had a bad pacing with overly predictable and BAD turns. Also that finale was kinda crappy tbh but that's only my opinion, I know at least a few people that loved that final. |

| after finishing the manga, I am sad that the anime didn't do justice to shio's mom, well, they ran outta time so they shortened the ending to fit. I rated it 7 but I'll change it to 8, some people here should go watch kyoani shit, they can't understand this anime, stop watching seasonal anime only because it airs! |

| My Problem is not with people disliking this show, but rather the attitude that has formed around the loud minority. This whole "This anime is objectively bad PERIOD, and if you disagree and like it you are just a pedo / edgy to be edgy / an idiot. I HATE this attitude, these arguments. Clearly, this Anime is not objectively bad, no need to argue there. Also clearly this Anime is one of these Anime that are for a niche Audience and not everyone will like it or even find the concept appealing. Another thing I hate is when people complain about the dark stuff in the Anime when the Anime never tires to hide it and is clearly marked as a Psychological Horror Anime/Manga. Don't watch such Anime if you don't like such dark stuff I personally give it a 10, it has become my most favorite Anime. But I understand anyone who says they don't rate it that much or even dislike it. But please remember that your opinion is not the only objective true opinion. |

Though of course, even if it shows the attraction to the girl by 2 people to be wrong, it is still a sensitive topic, so if you do feel too uncomfortable, you can always stop. But as I wrote, do not worry, the Girl itself is never shown in any sexualized way whatsoever and any attraction on part of the 2 characters who do have it is treated to be bad (as it should be). Later there is a person who has a "crush" on the girl, but this is due to (sexual) abuse he himself received and it is shown to be bad as such as well. And again, nothing sexual is shown. |
| Biggest flaw of the show - It's packed with too many mentally disabled characters. 98% of the cast is braindead. Who the fuck cares about Satou if she's just one retard out of 99 other retards from a group of 100 people. The sole sane person is Shoukou . Not to mention, all these retards are not even nearly as good as Satou. Satou at least feels real, the rest are fake as hell, overexaggerated garbage characters, like . I mean, fuck this shitshow! |
| Beats me. It's one of my all time favourite Iyashikei alongside Yuru Camp. Cosy up to this with a nice cup of hot chocolate on a bad day. Happy Sugar Life indeed. Also OP, Chika > Kaguya. |
