| THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- Oh my so it looks like the leaks are right loooool. Rui gets big promotion then turns out is pregnant lmao Hina as well pretty much accepted that she isn't getting back together with Nat, at least they talked to each other But hey, it's been a while since the last dumpster fire arc and it looks like it's finally back. Wonder how this is all gonna play out although I think the issue is gonna be more about the work life than their personal relationship life |

| Holy Crap it started off a little slow and honestly shaky i would have thought Rui would have been a little more upset when Hina said he was back into writing, but she was very Happy about it. Side note: the moment between those two was very well written. It honestly shows how mature Hina is as a women and I give her mad respect. Especially when she told Rui to "not make that face". very awesome moment. However the pace picked up and then BOMBSHELL! I kinda had a feeling when Daniella asked if she was feeling okay. I was like "Welp shes probably pregnant" and sure enough I was right. It even felt suspect when they went back 2 months to when Rui was talking to him about Togen sensei. I think this chapter proved that Sensei really wants to finish this series. Like if Rui didn't miss her "Aunt Flow" (for those who do not get this reference feel free to message me) when she was supposed to she should have suspected something. Also it takes roughly 2-3 months for Baby bumps to show, which with that I am not so surprised with Rui's shock. I actually went back to Chapter 253 and that was when they Slept together and then Natsuo left so yeah the time frame is there which is good. Also the fact that in the same chapter Rui wants to be the one who proposes to Natsuo so I mean being pregnant is a great reason to propose to the man you love. I would think that Rui would fly home immediately and let Natsuo know and then go from there. I can see this manga ending within the next 2-5 Chapter honestly. No drama, no bullshit, just a wholesome ending. |

| What an ending to the chapter :) I'd love to see Natsuo's reaction to this. Btw great to see both Natsuo and Rui focusing on their career again. |

| I'm getting UnbalanceX3 vibes, and this is not good. Just drama for the sake of drama. Seriously, baby? How? Why? Can't wait for Hina to get cancer so he would choose between these two again. Like, really... pregnancy. I've thought this manga was smarter than that, but I was wrong. Still I can't stop watching at this dumpster fire. |

| Wow Rui's pregnant. I guess this kinda settles the ship now. Thou honestly I still dunno who to support Hina or Rui. I really like both of them but Hina's definitely the best girl and I really want her to be happy. |

| I like how DomeKano just concluded one big part of the story, Natsuo's ability to write again, and instead of building the next phase for a few weeks, the author just forcefully transitioned immediately to the pregnancy arc with Rui. Wow. It's not that it's absolutely unrealistic cause there are very, very small chances stuff like this could happen. But, you can blatantly tell how forced the progression of events seem, without a care in the world. Gotta be on that drama train non-stop with no brakes! |

I remember the parents talking about Hina and Nat during his stabbing but now this bullshit is literally going to kill me if everything works out in a happy ending lol what a sh*tshow... |

| This is the point where I drop the manga. Not because I hate it, not because I hate Sasuga Kei for her writing, and not because I hate Rui or anything. But at this point, that last panel to me confirms that there is not a single speck of hope left for Hina. I didn’t expect this manga to be so serious or heavy when I first picked it up. I was expecting some light trashy fiction that was spicy and fun to read, kind of like a guilty pleasure. But I can’t read it anymore, because I don’t have the strength in me to do it. Hina has suffered more than any other character in this entire series. She’s sacrificed so much, and her love is so genuine and pure. First, she sacrificed her love, her happiness, her job, her stability, her security, everything, to protect Natsuo’s future. It hurt him so much, but it probably hurt her equally or even more than it did him. She knew that if she hadn’t done that, Natsuo would’ve thrown everything away to be with Hina. Then we’ve seen several times in between her leaving and Natsuo coming to her apartment on that island that Hina is still very much suffering. Every time I saw her cry, it killed me more and more. When Natsuo came to her apartment, she lied about not wanting to be with him anymore because their position was still precarious, and she didn’t want to be the person that blocked Natsuo’s future. But when she closed the door, she went to her bookshelf, took out Natsuo’s award-winning debut novel, hugged it, and broke down crying. “This is fine.” That was one of the most painful scenes I had ever seen for Hina, denying and even throwing away and stepping on her love for the sake of that love. When she finally went home for the first time while Rui was in Italy, Natsuo overheard a conversation between her and Tsukiko. She said that when she leaves to go back, she’s going to be all alone again. And she breaks down crying. It didn’t occur to Natsuo just how lonely and scared she was on that island, far away from everyone she knew and not being able to see or find comfort in her family and Natsuo. Not only that, she knew full well she destroyed Natsuo’s heart with what she did. But she felt she had no right to complain or do anything, because it was her choice. Until eventually, she came back home and gave up on her dream job of being a teacher because of all the grief she’s experienced. She thought Natsuo would still be there, “Just wait a little longer.” But then Rui told her that she and Natsuo are dating. And she cried again. But then came Tanabe. For a brief moment, she considered whether this was the man that she could fall in love with and move on with her life. But it turns out he had so many screws loose in the head and almost killed her, only to have Natsuo take the stab in the gut instead. Those were the most horrible, and yet the best, chapters in the manga I have seen. I didn’t expect to shed tears reading Domekano. Seeing Hina so distraught and lifeless at the thought that she wouldn’t ever see Natsuo again was just… That first chapter when Natsuo was still in a coma and Hina remembered every single moment they shared and all the happiness she felt just being with him, that killed me. At the end, she was just sobbing and saying “Natsuo-kun, I beg you, wake up.” I remember every single scene where she cried. She’s the one who gave up everything, who doesn’t expect anything in return, torn between her love for her sister and Natsuo. Her life was so full of suffering and pain and sadness. Yet nothing’s going her way. Life isn’t fair, but even in fiction it applies too. Just how much more of her suffering do I have to see? I can’t bear to see any more. I think this manga is great and could’ve been one of my favourites. I think it’s good, but I just can’t take reading it anymore. This is the point where I drop this. It seems it’s ending soon, I hope it has a good ending that the fans can really like and even after all this, I don’t hate Sasuga Kei for anything because I respect her as an author/mangaka, and I look forward to her next work. If it’s anything like Domekano, I’ll probably love it. Though I hope there’s no one like Hina again, who’s suffering is just too much. Thanks to everyone who’ve been active on the forum threads for this manga! It was really fun to see your discussions, predictions, and even your opinions on Rui, Hina, and even some of the wars. Hope you can enjoy the manga further! |

| I hope it’s a false alarm because I don’t think it was Natsuo, I remember them sharing the same bed but not sure if they had sex the first time Natsuo visited her when he heard about her work struggle. I’m not sure if this was too long ago to realize she’s pregnant maybe she shrugged off her weight because she’s working with food constantly. But I’m still not sure who’s it would be. An unfortunately dark thought of who it could be is the boss/racist worker that made her pregnant. How? Not sure, this soons super fucking twisted and highly unlikely but it’s DomeKano.. so, in simple terms maybe he nut in a dish she made and since she had a taste disorder she couldn’t tell and then told her that the food was terribly prepared and asked her to throw it out. I know that obscene but I could not be more confused right now lol. |

| It's only natural because they're having sex. This adds complication if they are really aiming for a Hina end game. Rui is an obstacle. On the other hand, #TeamRui would celebrate as this is supposed to tie Natsuo down. Anyway, good job for finishing the book. |

I want the characters to confront one another about their true feelings or play dirty or something instead of just putting some bandaid over it! Hina's just pretending it's all fine, when it's not. Rui gets no punishment for stealing Natsuo away. Hina is the one who suffers. Now Rui gets another gift: Natsuo's baby! And Hina's just gonna smile it off and drown in booze, how much you wanna bet. What a disaster! Why does Rui get everything good, and Hina gets next to nothing after all of her sacrifices? Personally though I can't see anything but some major asspull happening, so my hopes aren't high whether Hina wins or Rui wins. Sigh... hopefully the ending will floor me. Maybe Kei Sasuga is a genius. I mean she should be an expert on good endings considering she wrote a manga called Good Ending, right? Right??? But Rui getting pregnant is too far. | @HeroicIdeal didn't expect to be mentioned! But yes, I picked it up again. All I can say without spoiling anything is the ending is divisive. I picked it up again after being told about certain developments by a friend of mine who was still reading. As far as I can tell, the ending was seriously criticised by foreign fans, but was great according to Japanese fans. So you have that kind of divide. I don't know how you will see the ending, as honestly it really depends on the person. I do hope you enjoy the rest of this manga though! |
