Welp, a traffic trouble case. Or at least, when it comes to investigations, events get suspicious about their latest client.

This episode had a very detective feel attached to the story. The final few minutes were pretty thrilling. I wonder if the anime can carry that level of momentum. This may of been the most intense episode yet.

I didn't expect B to get caught so soon.

Not much ichinose this episode. Nijou was star this episode and then there's seiji with his ideals as usual.

Man, that was just too predicable, the moment I saw Goto's dirty fingers....

So, Nijo's informant is a drag queen.

This was a nice episode. The dirty fingers made the outcome more predictable, but I'm glad they didn't pull a GoT with that.

It's getting funny how Seiji does things that should normally end with him dying or getting severely injured, but then he comes out perfectly fine. Without realising, I have actually started looking forward to these scenes.

After a boring episode 1 we had some nice episodes with 2+3. Now this one was boring again. But at the end it got intersting and we got a hint that something big might happen soon.

The guy was only a dragon freak, that's all!

That Rookie kick though.

Wonder what is contained on that paper handed to Nijo? But it's pretty obvious it has to do with Nine.

It may just be me, but I don't think they established why B was targeting the father and his kid? Was it just random or part of the whole cult thing?

I hoped this would get better but this went for a downgrade instead. This whole episode was meh. Anyway that last scene made me kinda curious so lets just wait and see if this gets any better.

Don't quote me on this but I think it was B's pride that made him target the two because B couldn't live with fact that his bomb failed to take out the father and child.

A decent detective case, with more focus on Nijo and his past/characterization.

This episode had very bad directing. It would switch scenes in a weird way and the animation was weird. The ending where the boy is suddenly up and the father was there was also very badly-done. A very bad episode tbh.

I got that part, but why target them in the first place? It didn't seem like the father was a politician or corporate titan.

For another chance at investigative "socialising", Seiji the Rookie pairs off with Nijou the Analyzer for a take on family conflicts for a crime.

Or rather, a case of deception from the father of the deceased children. To all that amounts, is planned assassination, to which "B" pops up (like duh, obvious, where could the core answer lie at).

In the end...I could only say "Huh? What's going on?" until the end of Nijou's informant being more than a drag queen. And that Nine is attempting a re-do on similar past occurrences. Just really hoping it'll pick up the pace soon.

Oh yeah then I see what you mean. I guess this is a matter of plot convenience, the author wanted to link B to the case but executed it poorly by making the target an average Joe instead of a politician like you said.

Tried to give this one a fair shot, but it's simply not holding my attention at all. And the badass sword lady hasn't done much. Dropped.

It was nice to see Nijou taking the lead this time and the case was surprisingly entertaining for the most part but I didn't get the connection between B and a random father who already lost his other two "children" in yet another mysterious car accident.

Overall, a 3/5 episode due to that inconsistency.

Rookie really has one tough body, knife cuts, exploding magic circles and now fall damage

Nice to see Nijo take the lead, but I still wonder why B wanted to targeted the dad and son in the first place

First, why was B attacking that family? I don't get it.

Also, the leader of Nine was arrested so why is he still running around? You would think that such a person would be executed as soon as they are caught.
