| Daikichi better learn how to take pictures properly, maaan. Hahaha. I love the concept behind the tree which makes me want to do the same. It's the sweetest thing to do to your loved one. Hahaha. Kouki-kun's shenanigans throughout this episode, though. Jeez. This episode makes you question if Rin's the adult here or Daikichi. Hahaha. Her eyebrows when she got angry with Daikichi. I caan't. |

| This show has been a decent watch so far. It was great to learn about the tree tradition. Such a beautiful idea to plant a tree when your child is born or when you graduate. Might do this myself one day :) |

| Rewatching the series ATM and I love the monologue Daikichi has in his head about how Rin was walking the family's path before a lot of them even met her. The scene in his head of her, him, his mom, and Grandpa walking together is such a touching little scene that says so much about the family & his life, as well as Rin's new place in it, with a simple visual. |

| Oh, they're going to school by themselves?.. Will mornings get a bit easier for Daikichi now?.. Koki is just making lots of trouble.. Man.. Em.. Is planting a tree on someone's birthday a very common tradition in Japan or something?.. It's kind of a strange tradition, if it is one, really.. With how many people Japan has on relatively small area.. I doubt that people who are living in cities with millions people actually do this.. Maybe in rural areas, or relatively small towns.. Well.. At least Masako is willing to still meet Daikichi with some questions related to Rin.. Don't know, how I feel about that.. From one side, it's good if it's not too difficult for Masako.. From the other, I don't really understand, how you can still carry child in your thought, not out right reject her fully, not wanting to think about her.. Well.. I guess, there are people like that.. Who are separated from children by law court, for example.. It's different, though.. But well, we don't get too much Masako's point of view, so I can't really understand her feelings with information presented.. |

| This anime made me cry about literal family trees. The reveal of Daikichi and Rin's being the same tree almost made me weep. (Them jumping over the tree was just precious.) Also Kouki is a damn menace! |
