I can understand why a lot of people hate this ending but I thought it was fitting for Prison School. This manga has always had crazy twists so it would be kinda weird if it just had a normal happy ending. Looking forward to the epilogue. Other than the overly drawn out cavalry arc the manga has been amazing throughout. |

I just read the ending of the prison school manga and I'm so glad to see others commenting how the ending sucked. I really hope in the epilogue Chiyo and Kiyoshi get back on track because honestly, they were so cute. Wishing that Kiyoshi proves Chiyo that he's gotten better or something. Hana can go choke lmaooo |

I thought the build-up to the ending was brilliant. It's been so long but I figure many of us completely forgot about the part when Kiyoshi says how his entire relationship with Chiyo started with a lie about him peeking. I appreciate how the author doesn't miss details like this. If Kiyoshi told the truth at first, it's possible Chiyo would have never liked Kiyoshi. For Hana, it was also brilliant to bring back the panties Kiyoshi felt were comfortable. Hate the author or not, this is the kind of LOGICAL twist that works. The author didn't just pull this scenario out of his ass but he's built Kiyoshi's and Hana's relationship since the start. Obviously, this manga isn't perfect given a lot of unanswered questions. I'll still stand with my belief that this manga was excellent and I enjoyed it. Hope the epilogue helps tie up loose ends. |

I really liked how it ends Kiyoshi's love triangle in a total lost for him, very unique compared to the usual "protagonist got the gurl" ending. Very funny overall but Cavalry battle arc killed me the enjoyment of reading it weekly and all the rest of the chapters that were boring, with only the confession parts the only good thing of this "Chiyo's birthday arc". |

I hope that an angel comes to Mr. Hiramoto and snaps him and make him realize how bad is the ending. I feel upset on the ending, it ruins every emotions that I built when I started to read the manga. It’s like “wowwwwww great manga” then “huhhh!???”. I just wish someone with a good heart ask Mr. Hiramoto to change the ending and add more chapter. |

AHAHAHAHA! Holy fuck, I was prepared to accept some boring Chiyo ending, it wouldn't have affected my score any more than some of the other low points, but this just completely blew away my expectations. That was a great ending for a manga about scumfuck retarded people. It is disappointing that there was still so much more they could explore though. |

After reading several of the answers, I am on the side of those who say that this is a comedy and always was and if the mangaka trolls us in the end !!! What I did not like was that Hana never told him how she felt in a way that he understands! the very idiot never noticed. Another thing that also seemed to me was that the end was hurried, maybe they canceled it. It was a good manga despite that kind of ending. As a side note another manga that finished reading that the writer is looking for easy way out instead of choosing a main pair ... :( |

4 pages of shippers trying to mask their disappointment. Come on, Chiyo was boring as all hell and Hana was the bad girl, the one that never wins. It's better this way. For real now, while I loved how the ending stayed true to its original premise and spirit, a lot was left unfinished and unanswered. To me, the most curious thing is why Mari randomly decided to transfer schools? And she still thinks men are pigs, that's kind of annoying. The story definitely did not give that satisfying feeling of a good tale being wrapped up nicely, in fact I find myself wanting more, but... not meant to be. 7/10, mostly because of the early parts brilliance. |

so overall this was great, it was a 9 up until ch 220-30 but then kinda dragged on. really enjoyed the art, the comedy, them not giving up until the very last moment, mangaka's trolls..and the chairman. the fucking chairman, i need spin off of him. the ending was prison school like, but well too rushed. and many questions unanswered. i would love to see a sequel one day. |

damn what a fucking twist XD we had to go through all that shitty arc to end with a surprisingly unusual ending just to prove the fact that men are trash. up until around ch 200 i had really wanted to give it a 10/10 but now im having mixed feelings about giving it a 7 or 8. i cant even say that it ended bad with that twist cause at least it got more interesting after that boring arc. |

After reading that booring cavalry arc I get this!! & most importantly of all people Chiyo-Chan becoming the Usc president & sending Kiyoshi along with the other boys to Prison ! Shit shit shit. I can only pray for a season 2 where Kiyoshi can turn Chiyo-Chan like before, the chiyo we knew. Let's see😢 |

Man, that cavalry arc was ridiculously slow and dragged out. For such a long manga, I thought there was very little content that happened throughout. I know they were supposed to be stupid and wacky but the characters were just cringeworthy most of the time and not even that remotely funny. The art is awesome though. Only stuff that's a bit interesting and fun were the misadventures of that assman chairman. I would totally read a manga lead by that character alone. And despite all the stupid mess and mediocrity that happened, I'm actually fine with that ending as it fits this manga's theme so well. |

Just finished reading the manga and I'm just speechless with the later half of it... It turned from an Epic manga till the end of Ouroboros arc or start of Cavaliry arc and from there turned to absolute garbage till the end + Epilogue After Ouroboros I was powering through while my gut saying "I better drop this, it'll only get worse..." but since I was curious with who would end with who, I decided to continue... one of the worst decisions in wasting time I ever done... what a dumb fuck I am is the feeling I get. If anyone ever wonders why anime adaptations don't adapt till the end? Well they don't adapt for the wrong reasons but in doing so, anime watchers are safe from watching the rest which is utter shit. |

I Have just finished, and its glorious for me, I mean it is not a romance manga. For me besides of trolling its perfect for the spirit of the manga, its truth that the cavalry arc was pretty boring but it's only a little part of the series. I understand all people saying that the end left behind a lot of things to explain *the epilogue neither do it, but Chiyo doesn't look for me like a typical heroine I mean Hanna got tons of moments meanwhile Chiyo only appears as a goal for Kiyo, and I never had the feeling of empathy towards her. Besides, I couldn't say that he loves her *and i have said it's not romance its pure comedy, with ecchi and dark humour* Kiyo was lying to Chiyo during all the manga, and Hanna who everybody thought that will end with Kiyo exposed him and probably left him after being rejected, a cliche ending whit Chiyo or a romance with Hanna it would very typical and it would be made only for the pleasure of Hanna lovers or Chiyo lovers. For me as I have said before is the perfect ending, the guys being as they always were, a bunch of perverts teens in a girls school, the rest was only made for trolling, keeping interest for all the shippings and... trolling again Note that the only one who ends whit girlfriend was the masochist xD |

It's pretty obvious the author wanted to fuck with readers one last time so he gave us false hope and then crushed it in just two following/last chapters. He made fools outta his readers but I'd say it's a somewhat fitting ending for a series like this. That doesn't change the fact it sucks cock. |

What the actual fuck... Everything was going so well and Hana being the weirdo she usually is couldn't accept what was happening and concocted all sorts of conspiracy theories about what Kiyoshi could've been wearing down there and the worst part was that she was absolutely right. Hana being naked and on top of him wearing Hana's underwear was already overwhelming enough but that piss volcano erupting actually broke her. The angel they've all known and loved turned into what the guys had feared the most and it's heartbreaking. Just why... I can't believe that it all ended full circle. I've spent 4 years reading this and damn. I still had fun on the way, at least. It's sad that the manga got axed so abruptly. |

Picked this series up again after 2 years, wish I had done it sooner. Ending with a plot twist that no one saw it coming, with the only negative point being that we needed 2 more chapters or a very long one to wrap it up and satisfy the fans' with an ending less open than this. Unlike what many people said, when you think about it, this outcome made a shitload of sense. The whole point, that I suspect many failed to notice, was: Kiyoshi never really loved Chiyo! It doesn't take much to notice their relationship was never that special from the beginning (what does he really know about her, what she likes or dislikes, other than her interest in sumo wrestling? which btw he never was interested enough to asked about and only got to know about it from a mere eraser dropping accident). He admired her, and that's the key point. She was the first girl to talk to him, and ultimately he thought, the eventual prize of enduring all the shit he went through. The final point to be taken is: Kiyoshi and Hana are both scum, and that's why they deserve each other. They're both "perverts" and "creeps" in denial of their mutual attraction. Even Kiyoshi fully admitted he feels very comfortable doing just about anything with her, even eating food that she's spitted out. The whole underwear thing is an OBVIOUS metaphore for their whole relationship: uncomfortable at the beginning, but progressively becoming something that neither of them felt ok throwing out. The author had been laying all these clues, and I didn't even notice it prior the revelation. My applause to him for the outcome, made me laugh for about 3 long minutes. Although I'm disappointed in the lack of further chapters with an insight on what happened with the boys, Kiyoshi x Hana, and the Chairman... I'll be hoping for an (very unlikely) ACTUAL epilogue on this series. There's no excuse for those trollish 5 pages, can't defend the author on this. |

Well maybe I'm wrong but while reading this whole thing it felt like the author was having a jump in mentality again and again. Maybe he was having drug issues, or at some point he was depressed and yet he had to publish a chapter each week. Maybe he delivered his pent up anger to the readers while writing this chapter. Perhaps all these guesses are wrong and all this was just his expression of creativity, but for me, I found this ending really distasteful. Up to this point, I believed this manga was interesting in it's own way but now... it just feels random and pointless. Well, time to get over it anyways. It was a 6/10 for me. |

I think the ending was complete garbage, literally utter trash. It makes me feel like all the previous chapters, the previous progress will simply be flushed down a toilet thanks to this ending. As I stated this ending is completely dumb or so I thought until I analysed it a bit more. This ending would only be suitable if it was for the sake of setting up a sequel to the manga where all the boys would be stuck in prison again with 2 objectives in mind. Their first objective obviously being to break out and go to the wet T-shirt contest and second turning Chiyo back to normal. Everyone would end up helping Kyoushi help Chiyo return to her sane state of mind. If this was indeed the objective of the author Hiramoto Akira then I can easily forgive him for this trashy ending but if not then what I stated at the beginning of this comment is how my feelings would be conveyed. |

God this was a disappointment. The anime was amazing but the manga was getting crappier and crappier. It all went downhill after they escaped from prison, some parts were still interesting and still managed to make me laugh but the story kinda lost its charm and it started to get worse from there. There were some arc that dragged on way too much like that sport festival and in the end nothing gets resolved here, it only gets worse for all the characters. I say the ending in this manga is one of the top 10 anime betrayals and a big fuck you from the mangaka to the fans. I didn't sit through all that chapters for this. The anime was pretty damn good and it was when this franchise was at the strongest, a season 2 will only harm the franchise with the sub-par story and this ending will completely kill it. |

Check my review for more details. If you read this to the end, you get what you deserve. Given the whole thrust of the series, the whole thing makes perfect sense - the author of the manga had the self-awareness not to give a gross sex comedy a cute romcom ending. It's not that simple, of course, but Kiyoshi and Chiyo getting together would've been a disservice to the whole thing. I was ready to write this off as clever but too self-indulgent to merit much real attention or emotional nurture. In the eleventh hour, it brought me back. The fact that so many people are so angry just proves how great the ending truly is. Too bad it never got the attention it deserved - this is right up there with the original Evangelion ending in terms of high-quality bait-and-switch endings. Maybe even better in that the seeds for it were sown so well and so early in and nobody noticed. |

I didn't have the motivation to read these last 10 chapters back when they came out, because reading this series had become so boring. But having read them now, I must say I enjoyed the ending a lot. The small flashbacks where they put on the underwear in the morning were very impactful. Just a shame Kiyoshi's confession didn't work out. The art was fantastic as usual. |

The ending for this one was awful- one of the worst out of any manga I've ever read- but not entirely for the same reasons most people have. Personally, I agree that Kiyoshi shouldn't have ended up with Chiyo, even though she was without a doubt 'best girl'. They didn't really have any chemistry or reason to be together, and it made far, far more sense for him to end up with Hana- they were both perverts in denial about their perversion and piss fetish, they were both comfortable around one another, etc. However, there wasn't actually any payoff with that romantic arc. It just sort of ends without actually establishing the rest and completely leaves you hanging. Hana's behavior in the final chapters also ruined her. Prior to the final conflict, I had actually been rooting for her to get with Kiyoshi. However, she was so completely unbearable in her attempts to ruin Kiyoshi and Chiyo's happiness that I actually begun seriously rooting against her, making what could've potentially been a bittersweet ending much, much more bitter... god, she was just such an obnoxious petulant child. You knew how badly Kiyoshi had struggled to get to the point where he could confess, it took 300 chapters and unimaginable hardships. And at the last second, it's all shattered. There were a million better, more satisfying ways to end with Hana and Kiyoshi together. Chiyo's entire personality was completely destroyed. It's painful to see her go from a truly nice and understanding person to a twisted, evil version of her earlier self. Meiko and Kate never stopped Mari from leaving, or even got to see her before she left. Mari randomly left to go somewhere overseas, and the Chairman is left in prison. Joe and Shingo are left doing absolutely nothing, and Gakuto has been severed from his love interests. According to epilogue, all the guys, including Andre and Kiyoshi, are also sent back to prison. Basically, all these threads are either left completely hanging, or completely destroy the entire arc of the character, often both. After hundreds of chapters of development and growth, for absolutely none of the character arcs aside from Andre's to go ANYWHERE... it's insulting. The ending basically made the entire manga pointless. It singlehandedly lowered the score of the manga from a 7/10 to a 5/10. And that's from the perspective of somebody who DIDN'T want Kiyoshi to end up with Chiyo. |

I’ve already been warned, but it exceeded my expectation on how bad it is. My only thought after the ending “Is that it?”. I understand why Mari transfer to another school. It’s because even though she still hate men, but it is not the passionate hate as in the first arc. The U.S.C need a new leader that truly hate men. This where it goes wrong and there still so many unanswered questions. Who is going to replace the principal? Why is Mari hate men in the first place? Is there some kind of trauma? Why is there a prison in the middle of school? And where is the new prison going to be build at the end of series? Chiyo is already fully accepted how peverted Kiyoshi, right? Why did she went insane when see Kiyoshi panties? Isn’t much worse thing happen when he is explaining his relation with Hana? Rather than shocked, I would prefer Chiyo thinks that maybe he just like to wear panties, it doesn’t have to be Hana panties, it could be any woman. So she shove Hana to the side and just grab Kiyoshi panties with desperate looks, put her own panties into Kiyoshi and wait for his reactions. If he still comfortable with Hana panties and put it back on, it’s justifiable for Chiyo to go insane. So there’s two scenario CHIYO ROUTE: If Kiyoshi accepted Chiyo panties, it means he just a pervert that like to wear panties. And since Chiyo already fully accepted Kiyoshi, they would still be dating. Hana would go into depression after that and whine about how unfair it is. In this route, it needs a new character to fiil the U.S.C president. The boys will be put back on jail because how flirty they are with their girl friend. HANA ROUTE: Kiyoshi would try to put Hana panties back on and give Chiyo panties back. He would make it looks like out of kindness because he don’t want Chiyo to go commando. Kiyoshi feels apologetics, but Chiyo with denial looks couldn’t comprehend the situations. Hana with triumph smile looks down to Kiyoshi. Deep down she was happy, but still in denial. To top it off her wins, she start to go down until her eyes meet his and force kiss him passionately. At first he doesn’t know how to respond the kiss because all the situations that has been happened. After a few moments he start to feel the pleasure from Hana lips and start embracing her back. This where Chiyo should go insane and into the man-hating madness. Chiyo will be the new U.S.C president. The best way to describe Hana and Kiyoshi relationship is “more than friends, but less than lover”, since Hana still oblivious with her feelings, and Kiyoshi would embrace any girl. Too bad that any girl happen to be only Hana. LOL. Slowly but sure they’ll eventually both get into that lover relationship. In this route, the boys will be put back on jail because of Chiyo hatred toward men. I wish it still continue since it’s starting to get interesting tbh. But it’s still fine if it’s end with the boys put back on jail. Just disappointed with how the story goes. Sorry for the long ass post and my bad writing skills. This is how big disappointment I feel and how it exceeded my expectations to be bad. And it’s to full fill my desire for HanaxKiyoshi. Muahaha. |

Honestly this manga moved me a lot. The relationships all the boys had with their respective girls was perfect, and by the end they were all shit on in the worst way possible (except for Andre but who cares) I feel like Hiramoto is a sadist. Us enjoying Anzu and Shingo was completely ruined by Shingo doing something he isnt stupid enough to try (although it was kinda fitting with the comedy) and they barely make up by the end. What the hell happened with Mistuko? What did we gain from her being ripped away from Gakuto? The ending also felt really rushed, and to make it even worse it wasnt a happy ending. I dont even know what was happening, but I remember the relief I felt in the beginning when Chiyo saw her uniform in Kiyoshis bag at the sumo thing and realized later that it had to have some meaning behind it. That was this mangas main selling point for me - constant anger and cringe at situations that constantly go bad and them having a satisfying resolution. I guess that faded away quickly However I guess not having a happy ending spices things up a little, and I guess a wet t-shirt contest epilogue is considered a happy ending for the boys being in prison forever for some reason? Idk I am really confused about my feelings for this A rare time of me being serious on this site btw |

I just happen to start reading manga last year and the reason I read the manga is because I love its anime episodes that I think its worth reading, but this one disappoints me. The ending made me so emotional that I cried, its was so very sad ending. Maybe because the author was focusing on the manga being funny and sexual but, I mean what about Kiyoshi's love confession?, I didn't stop reading this because he is so determined to say it to Chiyo after the cavalry, all the promises and hardworks Kiyoshi did was wasted... I feel sorry for him... It makes me don't want to read (school theme) manga anymore, and don't hate it but this manga is disappointing.. |
