| For a side episode, this was really good. =) We get another chance to see what Shizu did long before she met Rimuru as she traveled from place to place. She would eventually fight Diablo in this episode and the fighting animation was superb. It was shot, but it was great and although Diablo did retreat, Shizu knew that she wasn't as strong as him. Shizu did fall for a trap by the kingdom's king and the Archdemon. She tried her best, but she got overwhelmed easily, but to her surprise, Diablo came to her rescue and easily killed all three of the bastards in the room. Nicely done. =) Only one more episode left, which will be focused on Veldora. I'm certainly looking forward to that. =3 |

| With the manga adaptation done for the moment, here's some Shizu canon story from the LN! The story of Shizu and the power from Ifrit, and her adventures. Kuro/Diablo shows up, and is as powerful in annihilating the greatest or greatest demons. Really hope that his eventual encounter with Rimuru in Season 2 will bring new shockwaves and great fights, though this side story has me gripped throughout the episode. One of the better episodes, even if canon. |

I said really early on that the anime viewers would have benefited significantly if they had access to Veldora's Musings. These were basically 10-15 pages at the end of each manga volume that were pure written text (no pictures) that recapped the volume from Veldora's perspective. It gives Veldora (and Ifrit) A LOT of character and gives a lot of insight into the relationship Veldora has with Rimuru. It also provides a lot of information about the relationships between Veldora and With this information I strongly believe the main series (of the anime) wouldn't have felt like it was dragging its feet. Veldora is an awesome character, so I can't wait for him to have his time in the spotlight. |

| Fantastic episode, this might actually be my favorite episode in the series so far. XD The fight sequence with Shizu vs Kuro was really well animated, I really enjoyed watching it. Kuro seems like an interesting character, can't wait to see more of him. Speaking of which, I feel like it was a little to spoiler'ish for them to narrate at the very end that Kuro would be summoned by Rimuru and receive the name Diablo. I was a little disappointed after I heard that, I would want something like that to be more of a surprise as we get into the second season. xD |

| Gosh, this 24th episode can be described with a single word : bad ass. This Diablo demon seemed powerful, I grew frustrated to know we will have to wait at least 9 months (at least) to get the season second. Also, it saddened me to remember that Shizu died quite early in the serie and we barely had a lot of information about her. Great thing they gave her credits in her own dedicated episode ! That was a good way to present a canon plot which actually has a great value to the global story. |

| Interesting episode, it was nice to see some past about Shizu! The fight between Shizu and Kuro was awesome, the animation was so cool for me, and seeing Shizu fighting serious for that long is always awesome! Kuro seems to be a interesting character, and her badass side is so cool! |

| This episode was surprisingly good! Because i wasn't expecting anything after the last episode but this episode was fantastic! So the black demon wasn't that bad in the end xD The moment when he grabbed that guy by his throat....damn! So badass! And now we learn that Rimuru summoned him? haha So he summoned a super OP demon? easy xD Next episode will be dedicated to Veldora? Great! Because after the first episodes we never heard anything about him. |

| Fun to see Shizue Izawa once again as a side episode. To me, the show became bad when they killed off Shizue Izawa for no real reason besides making the piece of slime even more stronger. I liked her... :-( |

| It was a good episode. But I don't understand how that mask's power of time can cut Diablo's arm though. Also that last line from the episode stating that he will be summoned by Rimuru - I hope he will not be another OP sidekick of Rimuru. |

| More Shizue is always welcome :D It was a pretty entertaining episode, I really enjoyed it. Diablo (or Kuro by the time this episode is set) looks evil as hell but it seems he has some sense of loyalty/respect so I guess I like him so far. A very mysterious character for sure. One more episode left but fortunately, a second season was already confirmed, what a pleasant surprise. |

I wonder where did you @DarkLunacy @anikevin get that impression ? rimuru did summon a demon for ramiris in ep 23 after all . so mybe diablo simply intends to answer the call the next time rimuru summons a demon again in the future . btw the narrator in this ep 24 is in fact rimuru himself , not diablo . |

OT: Can we please ditch the current generic wish fullfillment harem isekai timeline and just explore the entirety of Shizus story? I know I said this before, but she really was the best part of this. Watching slime is nice and all, but I constantly feel like Im missing out on something way better, both story and character wise. |

| This episode was better than the last 8 episodes combined, what a positive surprise. Kinda dark, but I like it. And the focus was finally on other characters, that was my only wish, thank you. I was getting tired of Rimuru and how the story always had to tell/show us how OP he is and how everyone immediately trusts and likes him. But now I wish for Shizu to be the main character, damn. |

| Yes, as I thought, the canon story has ended the last episode, and this one and the next side stories that are actually pretty interesting. It was a little too weird to not have Rimuru in the spotlights for the entire first half of the episode, but the intriguing characters have surely shifted the focus and made for a great episode. I really wanted more. The foreshadowing that tells future events at the last part of the episode really drew me into the story more, making me sad that we'll have to wait for some probably long time till we get a season 2 announcement. I can't wait for the next episode which I hope that it will cover Veldora's point of view on everything that happened in the series, or maybe just an interesting backstory shall do. But at the same time, it's quite sad that this magnificent series has only one episode left, the only thing that kept me connected with last season's great shows. |

| I have low expectation on this but it turn out to be very good. Diablo is a very interesting characters. Can't wait for season 2. |
| Glad the 2 season was already announced, at least there's a point in waiting to see what's next. I'm quite intrigued about Diablo. As for the episode, I didn't enjoy it as much as the rest of the season. Just one episode but I already missed Rimuru, huh. Shizu is fine, but I guess here the story itself wasn't particularly interesting. |

| This episode seems a bit out of place to me. Diablo seems like a more important character than this introduction. Seemed kinda rushed? Idk. Like how the entire episode Diablo was stated to be this awesome progenitor demon or something, and then there wasn't any further explanation. Seemed like a good build-up, but then at the end of the episode they went "Oh rimuru named him diablo"...like is that it? Are they gonna show us how diablo and rimuru met and etcetera? I didn't read the light novel, and as of episode 23? I think they're ahead of the manga now. At least the translated ones. |
