What a monster. I wasn't expecting to see something that hideous to appear in this show.

The action was alright but I feel like some of the characters (like Hachisu) wasn't ready at all. Hachirou's role in this episode was nothing short of impressive. He took down that monster and old man like it was nothing!

All the same I was right when I thought that this show needs more drama and action, and fewer attempts at slice of life and filling. As a result, in one fifth episode we saw more good development of the plot than in almost all previous ones. In general, I hope that the show grow up to restore its rating at least to 7, if it starts to gradually warm up as in this episode.

Lol funny how the guy in the wheelchair rolled up into that blast from the hill, just jumped in.

Also looks like they grew up a little in that blast lol.

Official time skip from next episode I guess based on that preview.

Still sticking with this show cause of the name Basilisk it has in its title, but so far not much impressed.

We cannot expect good ratings when people don't understand what they're watching. You did say some things, like the development in this episode, but i didn't notice more than the others. the show has a lot of filling, but it's enjoyable, unlike traditional shows. I could think it would need more drama, but so far i could understand, this is a more rational and artistic show, where you have to pay attention at the pace of acts

I did not quite understand if you were criticizing the show or praising it. Well, while I'm just trying to give them a second chance because I enjoyed the original series and love the works about twins and the shinto drama. But the last 2-3 episodes really seemed to me more interesting, because the animation became more lively, and the characters became involved in action instead of ambiguous conversations.

That's right. the 3-5 eps were really better than the 1-2, though i liked them, because they had introduced the anime. I'm neither criticizing nor praising it, I'm just enjoying. We need to wait until the end to see if it will be good or not. But for now, it's slightly better than the prequel.

If the girl can make the powers of the person who looks do not work, why not take her, that she looks at an enemy fixedly. While all the others surround him to kill him

The powers of this sequel are very rare, some viewers i do not think they like it.
The question isn't "What anime do you like?" That is merely a list.
The question is "Why do you like it?" That tells a story. Your story.

That old guy seems to be arbitrarily immune to a lot of attacks, including being set alight. When he isn't, he can instantly teleport away. Don't think any of the antagonists will be dying for a while.
