The defensive force shield mechanism that stopped the enemy's attacks at the end was rather impressive.

Very interesting story. I really liked the CG and how fluid the animation was. I wonder whether they made this as a "preview" to an upcoming new anime. I'd really like to think so.

I liked it, but it had the feeling of those shows that have a great premise but after some good first episodes it gets bad, like, Aldnoah.Zero or something.

Some pretty cool ideas and setting but I dont see much of what they could do with this, seems like it would be pretty dull but then again who knows.

Harukaze getting sniped at the last second was way too predictable. Besides the mellow, melancholy music for such an action-heavy piece it was pretty generic in general.

It's my impression that "To Be Continued" is just some wishful thinking; it seems against the idiom of this series to actually continue it next week.

The use of color was excellent and set the mood really well. Music was fitting as well. I quite liked it.
The setting was a bit weird though. I'm not sure how well having a mix of feudal Japan and sci-fi mech battles would work as a full TV series or even a movie.

Agreed, the colour was amazing.
I dont think I'd be interested in a full series though, but it's got potential.

I thought this was a cool action short. I found the behind the scenes stuff incredibly interesting. Each individual layer comprising each shot was impressive in its own right.

The art and "plot" was quite standard, and the cgi was a bit annoying, but I liked the shading, background art and color palette.

Why am I not surprised the woman is the only survivor? The action was obscured quite a bit, and in the end that's pretty much all it had to offer.

That's the third short in a row to be stylistically appealing but depressing, and now I'm guaranteed another. :P I hope there are more fun/comedic ones before I wrap it up.

Definitely getting some Jin-Roh vibes off of this one, and despite the use of CGI, it all blended together really well with the 2D animation.

This was pretty intense and it was well produced, but I can't help but think the dramatic ending would have been much more dramatic if we had been introduced to these characters over a much longer time-frame and got to know them. This almost feels like the final episode to a series that I haven't seen.

Anyway, I'm interested to see what the next one will give us.

This reminded me of the Program short from The Animatrix. Or, perhaps Jin-Roh even more so than episode 22.

Anyways, the master was trying to find a peaceful solution to this apparent war scenario, but his followers misunderstood his intention. Even after he died there was just more death and destruction. I think something was lost in the narrative here.

The draw style is nice, but the plot not, has failures in this rescue mission that end bad!!!

It's like Jin-Roh but with samurais and mechs lol

I see that this week's theme is the pointlessness of settling conflict with violence through war~

That Rouge text is reminding me of Rogue Galaxy's text.
I knew Harikaze was going to get shot from behind.
Kurae!

There's more.

Hmm. Not fan of the animation and the story wasn't good either, two heroic deaths in few minutes... like really? It could be better is given enough time to develop characters but it didn't work in five minutes.

Loved the art in this short. The 24.5 short had several mini-clips that looked like shows I would really enjoy too
