This one brings relationship drama and it didn't look pretty. Even the theme of suicide is bought into this show. I feel like human drama really can take the cake when it's at its worst. Cheating in a relationship never ends up well. |

| Nice to see these episodes in good quality since a good quality version of seasons 1 and 2 are hard to find. This is one of my favorites of the whole series. I just wish there was a little more thought put into doing another season of this series. Seems like they did it to cash in on the property and not much else. |

| I really can't wrap my head around this. This season is 8 years after the 3rd season. It breaks the standard 26 episode length by having a measly 12 episode length. Somehow, half of that is filler "reminiscence" episodes. (Not to mention none of those reminiscence episodes focus on the character development or crucial episodes) Yet, this anime is an original anime, so it doesn't make sense to make filler when you aren't going off of a manga. This season is confusing (not in terms of plot, but in terms of why it is what it is) and I hope Studio Deen/Aniplex really impress with the 5th season, if it even gets one. You'd think that the fans of this series would be biased towards it and rate it higher, especially as the number of voters decreases with each season, but it appears this is the lowest rated season out of them all anyways. Granted, none of this is to stop you from enjoying this season, go right ahead. It's just me venting my frustrations with a series I didn't feel exceedingly positive or negative towards suddenly veering towards the negative side. |

The first six were new and the remaining episodes are recap from the previous three seasons. Perhaps after its done they're announcing the final season, or at least another one, of the series. |

| Goddamit. I shouldve read up on the 6 recap eps, so I wouldn't be this disappointed. I loved the first 6 eps :( Up until new chick became Hell Girl, cuz fk that. Ai-chan or go home. I wish they continued that. This recap shit is really disappointing. If it was budget reasons, then they shouldn't have done it to begin with. Sigh. I don't even know what to rate this anymore. |

What even was the point of this? If someone wanted to watch season 1 of Hell Girl, they could very well just go back and do it. Even newbies who didn't watch season 1. I feel like they just put in these episodes because they ran out of budget and had to fill the 12 episode run time slot anyway. Shouldn't have made a season 4 to begin with if they weren't going to bring anything new to the table for fans. |

| I'll mostly skip through these last 6 episodes since I already know the story. But I'll still try to remember what exactly happened. So having that said, another reminiscence, another happy ending. Season 1 was so simple and good. |
