| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Well that was fun but a bit predictable. Good thing that they were able to finally liberate and defeat the Darkness Queen. Even Victorious is no match against a united dedicated front of singers. I'm not surprised that she still retains her love of music. I found this episode pretty fitting for the finale considering everyone coming together in unity for a common goal. Anyway, I had fun watching this season overall. Going to miss Cyan and her smiles :o |

| What the fuck was that? I mean I can't say I expected a good finale given SB69A's track record, but still, what the fuck was that? Instead of feeling sad at parts I assume I was supposed to feel sad at, I was just laughing because it was so ridiculous and I couldn't take it seriously at all. Here's hoping we don't get a season 3 of SB69A because I don't know how much more of this anime canon I could handle. If SB69 gets any more animation stuff it better take place in the game's canon. |

| Pretty lackuster. It was a re-doing of first season's main conflict but with a bunch of new characters we barely got to know. If there's more seasons of this I hope they focus on another bands, no more Plasmagica, they gave everything they had to offer. 5/10 |
| How can you guys said season 1 was better when songs are limited and story is not big enough. In season 2 the songs(like VirginBudLogic etc) and story(Pyruu planet and Yami no Jouou) are way better. The last episode was not what you expected don't mean the overall was bad. Song sang together by the bands and the last song performed by human Cyan just top the chart, we should also read the lyrics too.    Really have fun watching Show By Rock |

| Why are there so many people hating this show? D: I really liked the ending, and I didn't expect that the 5 bands would actually perform in the same song. However, I have to admit that the animation dropped for this episode ;-; Also, I wish Demon's Venom had made a cameo with Dolly Dolci and the other game bands during the concert. At least we could see their bromides in Aion's room. |

| I agree that S1 was better. It had a much stronger and tighter story. This season...just didn't feel very focused. It wasn't a bad season, just not as good. There wasn't much of a story at all in S2. And it is fine that they wanted to focus on more little character stories and then just pick up the main plot at the end. But being more interested in them telling a story...it wasn't as entertaining. The last episode kind of nailed that feeling. You have to wonder why Cyan was even brought in for this. The way the villain left just kind of captured the S2 in a nutshell. Basically a "well...guess we're done here. I'm going home" kind of feeling. It wasn't bad or terrible. Just kind of "ok." SBR was a kind of surprise hit and I really wonder if S2 will have the same success. And even if it does, I have to wonder if they'll even have a story to tell. It felt like they ran out of ideas just to make this season happen. |
| Why am I not surprised that the president would appear again right after all those farewell speeches. Pretty good 2nd season. I wonder if there will be a third now that Dagger had his power back. |

| I'm just going to ahead and say it right now. This season was not good at all. There is no character progression and too many attempts to fulfill quotas shoving in newer episodes. Cyan didn't really need to be here either. Also that whole entire episode 1 where there was this talk of time travel and shit....completely dropped and forgotten about. I felt I wasted my time and nothing happens. I don't want a season 3. I want Show by Rock to go away since it just proven to be a one hit wonder and a flat out fluke. The team behind had zero idea what they were doing. The animation in my opinion was flat out bad with lots of repeating and reused footage. They had no budget for this show and if they did they did a poor job managing it. We shouldn't give them a pass guys. This season 2 was complete and utter shit. I knew from the shorts that season 2 may not be good since those shorts were flat out awful. Ugh...I'm so fucking upset and disappointed man. |

If you have an iOS phone you can get it by creating a Japanese iTunes account, a guide to do so is here. If you have Android, you can get the app QooApp, then download Show By Rock!! from there. A guide for that is here. After downloading QooApp, open it and search "Show By Rock". The game is the one titled Show By Rock!! with both Cyan's human and myumon forms in the icon. The other one with just her myumon form is the official calendar app, which tells you character birthdays and when in-game events are. While QooApp is normally speedy with updating their APKs, they once took 11 days to update SB69 after an update came out, and after week or so of waiting I decided to update my game via another Google account + TunnelBear VPN. When doing this, the app then appears in the "my apps and games" list in the Play Store and then you can just update it the same way as all your other apps after using the VPN only once. A guide for that is here. For help with playing the game itself, there's r/ShowByRock, the Tumblr blog I run called sb69eng, and for more immediate help, the r/ShowByRock Discord server. |

| Overall it was average with some seriously boring episodes. I prefer S1 because it was "new", this 2nd season didn't offer anything new and I'm so tired of Plasmagica. There are so many bands that never come out or they have cameo but if you don't play the game you don't even know who they are. If there is a 3rd season I hope they focus on other bands and that Plasmagica stays in the background. It's worth 5/10 but I gave 6 because there were some awesome songs. |

| Wow, they manage to make fine ending despite the the animation quality had dropped a bit. At least it's a fun watch. Anyway, I'll rate this anime a 6 out of 10 score overall. Damn, it! if Ayane Sakura wasn't here, I'm not gonna watch this show! |

| I could probably write a lot about why (and who knows maybe I will at some point, espeically after I rewatch the first season), but the first season to me worked so well. There was such a great mix of everything. The character interactions were great and the characters were developed quite well. I haven't been able to play the game (or even more read what is said in the game) so I don't know how they act in the game exactly. I saw a couple of the original shorts but only after watching it. Personally I think the staff did a very good job in doing their characterizations. (Espeically Chuchu whom I love.). That said the plot meshed a lot better in season 1. Furthermore the quality of everything was a lot better in season 1 as well. I do think there were good parts in season 2 and I didn't really enjoy them. However the plot was way too inconsistent and wobbled all over the place. While in season 1 it also had this sort of windy road it seemed all well placed and designed to get to the end while giving us the information we needed there. It was rushed in some parts (the nature of only have 12 episodes for so many cast members) but I feel like it worked. However this season just didn't. It felt a lot more out of place. Same thing with the big plot around this season. While it made sense in season 1, I feel like here it didn't. The villian was also pulled out of nowhere and was unnessary. And not to mention the drop in quality. That was the most disappointing thing in a way. Some parts of the episodes were so noticably rush jobs. Espeically at the final band scenes in episode 12. I really think S2 should have been SoL. There are so many bands and issues that could have been covered. The large big plot was done well in S1. It didn't need to appear again. To me the SBR shorts between season 1 and 2 were done really well. There was some nice backstories as well as some entertaining shots of the characters being themselves. It may not have been lofty but it was pleasant. That said despite all it's flaws Show By Rock!! # did at least stay in character with the characters and did have them show up a lot. I do think there were peices in it that were interesting and fun to see. And that's why I gave it an 8. ... Admittly my rating system doesn't really work well with cases like this. Since my biggest cateria of judging a show is based on how much I'm able to get from it outside of the show and this sequel leeches off of SBR, it's hard to divorce the two. I likely wouldn't enjoy it as much if it wasn't Plasmagica and the other bands in the show. But since they are there that is part of why I like it so much. So keep that as fair warning. I'm not fully pestimistic on this season (although I am quite disappointed by it) but I really do agree they could have done better. That said I still want a season 3 because I like the series so much. > > But please can it be SOL, and not overly ambisious. |

| Well the last scene where Cyan is leaving again her friends was really touching, i'm gonna miss these girls so much (but they'll probably appear in the Mashumairesh so that's fine) First season was better in my opinion but this one wasn't bad at all, just a bit confusing per moments and not enough of Plasmagica for me, there was great episodes though, like the summer sports contest one. 6/10 I think, while first season is a 7/10 |

| Good finale. Another tearful goodbyes. Cyan will meet her friends again one day, so there's no reason to be too sad. :) Overall, this season was pretty much as great as the first one, and this season had even better soundtrack than the first one. |
