| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- This was a rather interesting episode of relationship dynamics. For one thing, Aoi seems like a complex character. The way that letter is burnt had a symbolic like feeling. This show does a pretty decent job at background storytelling that explores relationships imo. |

| It has been delayed to 26:07 because of table tennis match. A guy (OnoD) Natsume met at the train station is interested in him, it seems. Later learned that he's a youkai. He had a letter that at first told him he wanted to give to his childhood friend. The black bird youkai not happy about that youkai meeting human girl? So that girl he said was his childhood friend was sort of true. A human girl who was able to see him. That letter was invitation to her wedding. She gives him a chance to come to meet her for the last time. His normal friend knows about the girl. Wow @ that face and reaction after mentioning of his name. Fake part was fake. More info. on her side. Her love was sincere and doesn't mind him about youkai. Brown nyanko-sensei? next. |

| Wonderful & Lovely episode. LOL White Raccoon. Aoi's a cool youkai. Kaoru truly loves him. Seeing them spend so much time together was so sweet. Kaoru freaking out Natsume & Nyanko Sensei was hilarious. |

| A bit different to what this show usually does tonally, but it was a solid episode regardless. It's nice to see the show venture into this territory every so often, and I'm hoping one day the same will be possible for Natsume himself, although I'm sure we're still a long way away from such a thing at this point. |
| it was a bad episode , romance wasn't good and they also made youkai grow up in pretty much the same way humans do just to make the plot of this episode . hopefully this anime doesn't take the shitty romance way and ruin the whole series . by far the worst episode i have ever seen in this series :( |

| Sonokawa Kaoru and Aoi-chan someone know who is voicing them? Because I have hear these voices before, but I have no idea who is voicing them. They are quite good. Romance turn not bad actually and way to go for Kaoru. Since Natori know about book of friends, probably will be some kind of drama soon in a few episodes. In last few episodes were about Reiko and Natsume friends and we finally move on a bit but yeah it wasn't a bad episode. |

It's shown in mythology and the anime, that how youkai look and grow up vary greatly: some live wildly, while others functions a lot more like humans. Why do you think the romance sucked? The 2 characters kept meeting each other as kids, so doesn't it make sense for one to actually fall in love with the other? in the anime if i remember correctly all the youkai characters never had their body change like that , the fact that they made the youkai's body change exactly like the human friend just to make the plot "romantic" was very dumb because it was said in a lot of episodes that time for youkai is very slow compared to humans even in one episode it was said that "60 years ( i think ) for a youkai is nothing but for a human it is very long" so just to push all that aside to create a romantic episode felt way too stupid for me and just a device to try and create a feels episode which i don't think i ever saw this anime go down to such a bad level in writing throughout the series . |

| It was nice to see that a youkai and a human are actually going to be in a relationship, no matter the future consequences it will bring. So romantic, yet so sad... Also,Aoi was so handsome! I hope we see him again :) |
| Yeah, I was surprised to see Aoi aging like a human, but maybe there's an explanation? E.g. bird youkai have shorter lives? I was also surprised to see them actually going through with the human x youkai romance subplot. | Nice episode, one of the best three of the season so far, BTW if Aoi has refused to go to the wedding this Kauru-chan could have been a good girlfriend candidate for Natsume. |

| This will be a good romance story if they make it into 2 episodes with a bittersweet ending that they can't be together. But regardless, this episode turned out to be good in the end. Not my favorite from this season thou. |

| *Pterodactyl screeching* This was so cuteeee!! I'm so happy with how this ended, I didn't feel like bawling my eyes out over a sad ep. The bird youkai was a really interesting character. I'm disappointed Natsume and the girl didn't interact more, it would've been nice to make another friend who can see them too :) Same: aina-kun said: somebody pls love me, even if it's a ghost :( |

| It was strange the Aoi grew up at the same rate a human does, maybe only until adulthood, then he lives much longer than humans. Also weird to see Natsume punching youkais. Kaoru is cute, and has an outgoing personality would have been interesting if she could see more than one youkai. Then she could have been a friend of Natsume. |

This was awesome. Also, looks like you were not able to comprehend things so far, or else you'd know that there are all sorts of youkai. They differ greatly, and there was nothing wrong about this one maturing at the ~same rate as humans do. The reason why this show has such a low viewer count compared to its amazing production quality and stories is because the dumb masses are too dumb to understand. It's sad that not even some of its viewers can comprehend the wit and beauty of it. |

| I thoroughly enjoyed this episode. This was the only one that made me emotional in this season. But the previous seasons (like 1-3) used to have me balling tears. Really missed that. |
| Ahhh. What a beautiful love story. I'm glad those two were afforded a happy ending. Better than a life of regret, I say! There will be tears in the future for Aoi, considering he's a yokai and doesn't share a normal human's lifespan, but it's better to have loved than not. Anyway, wonderful love story between a human and yokai. |
