| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Episode starts off with Gin and Zura talking about how the person they grew up with was still their Shouyou-sensei. And Katsura’s not gonna let Gintoki have to burden of killing his sensei again. And Umibouzu has plans of killing Kamui., and meanwhile Kagura’s has plans of protecting Kamui. And the Yorozuya requests for their leave of absence… and even Sadaharu (somehow quite sad). Lol, It’s been a while since we got the lolicon/feminist gag. And we got a bit of teasing for Oboro’s past and how he got his regenerative blood. Oh, and Sakamoto’s here to help protect Takasugi!!! And now Gin and Zura are here too. All we need is a conscious Takasugi and we’ll have the old Joui back. Also lol at the pictures the Tendoshuu has of the old Joui rebels. And yay, more old Joui gags. Best way to defeat the old Joui: make them count the good and bad things about Takasugi. But it’s great to see Sakamoto and Mutsu again since you don’t get to see them often. Don’t worry Sakamoto, we all want Takasugi to be his old self again. Lol, Nobunobu still really hates Gintoki, doesn’t he? Hah, it didn’t take long at all for Nobunobu to be defeated by the old Joui. The old Joui are such a troll though. Poor Nobunobu though, he got punched for a third time. First Kamui, then Gin, and now Bansai, lol. Meanwhile Takasugi's at the Yato planet Rakuyou, along with Abuto and Umibouzu. 4 chapters adapted (chapters 555-558). And surprisingly, the pacing felt perfect! This arc won't end up being anything more than 13 episodes... as expected. 5/5 |

| Great set up,episode! Some massive death flags for Oboro. His death seems guaranteed in this arc. Seeing these three destroying Nobunobu was magnificent!  |

| Great episode. Sad to see the Odd Jobs leave for now. Awesome to see the Rebels come together. Just need Takasugi & it's complete. LOL Nobunobu got taken so easily. HAHA Gin, Katsura & Sakamoto's pictures. Oboro's body is failing him. Off to Space & towards Rakuyou. |

| Really good episode! A lot of heartwarming moments of reminiscent memories. Also the resignation scene gave me feels :'). 3 out of the 4 gathered, now we just gotta wait for Takasugi to wake up. Nobu is a failed leader, all of the most powerful/loyal retainers left after what happened to Shige. |

| This episode was amazing, the comedy is still great with katsura's name, and that image of Katsura, gintoki, and sakamoto was awesome, even the feminist skit. As an anime only watcher, I was surprised to see Sakamoto rescue and take Bansai along with him, and that Katsura's force teamed up with gintoki and the rest too. I'm kind of curious why Nobume stayed behind, I assume she will probably have another role later, maybe with the shinsengumi's return? I'm not sure based on my immediate watch, but I am to assume that war torn planet of rogues is maybe the yato planet? Kind of interested to see what happens there especially with Umibozu. Felt so good to see that shogun get put in his place too. The relation between Utsuro and Oboro seems logical enough, I guess, it annoys me slightly because I would have preferred it personally if Oboro remained dead. (I know many would disagree, lol) |

| So many things happened in this episode. Kagura went with the Kiheitai to stop her father and brother fight. Gintoki, Shinpachi, Katsura went with Sakamoto to save Takasugi. Everyone will meet again on Rakuyo. |

| Really like the reunion of these 3 and all that's missing now is Shinsuke. :) It's definitely going to be an intense gathering in Rakuyo and I'm excited for it! |
| Oh boy did the feels hit me when the Yorozuya trio visited their little home. I really miss the old times when the only thing they worried about was excuses not to pay rent ;-; So turns out Rakuyo is actually Kagura's home planet and it's been abandoned as a barren wasteland where criminals go to hide out. Welp this is not gonna be a happy family reunion. Also thought that scene where Gin and Zura fell asleep listing things about Takasugi was funny...Katsura's sleepy eyes are hilarious. But not as hilarious as NobuNobu getting his face bashed in for the umpteenth time and no I'm not ever going to call him the Shogun bc there is only one rightful shogun and he's dead Missing the Shinsengumi's presence so much and although they'll probably be back by the end, it's just so weird without them. I expect them to just show up! Looking forward to some family drama soon!! |

| Great episode as always. Nice set up the remainder of the arc. Gintoki and Katsura reminisce about the past with Shoyo while Kagura reminisces about the past with Yorozuya. Felt a little sad when Sadaharu finally ran out to meet her but found the street was empty. :( Was pretty sad seeing Kagura leave. Yorozuya's leave letters was a really emotional moment for me. Unmibozu's Luffy reference was awesome. XD Death flag for Oboro. :o Shoyo once again mentions these avatars of his, does that mean like Gintoki says can we consider Shoyo as a separate persona? Sakamoto is here to help Takasugi! :D Pretty cool that Zura and Gintoki joined him as well, nice reunion between them, The Gintoki and Nobume scene was also really nice. Asking Gintoki and Zura to talk about Takasugi good and bad points was really funny. xD Epic takedown of NobuNobu by the Joui(4-1), Loved that. Those three are such trolls. Finally, the introduction of Rakuyou, so it was a planet eh? Interesting. It's probably the Yato planet right? The steps where Abuto was standing pretty much looks like a place from Kagura's flashbacks. Can't wait for more. |

| Unlike in the first episode, now they got the pacing right, it felt smooth for most of the time so I hope they continue this way. 3/5 episode. |

| Good episode, definitely had the feels watching it in spite of lack of animation quality and fast pacing. -So Yorozuya takes a leave. I got teary eyed on that letters really. -Kagura joining the other kihetais devouring all their food supplies! hahaha! (typical kagura) -Umi hunting down his son. -While Gin, Shinpachi and Sadaharu joins Sakamoto Harasume ship with Katsura and Bansai. Nice reunion we got there. -Abuto with Takasugi being treated in some kind of place, and yes that place is none other than planet Rakuyo, known for wars and battles. obviously the yato planet. I guess everything boils down to this place. |

The comedy also works especially well, because of the tense atmosphere, like when Gintoki tried to could the bad things about Takasugi and fell asleep. I also loved the way they mocked Nobu Nobu at the end. My only complain, the part where they beat Nobu nobu had a great line in the manga. It was probably the best meta joke I've ever seen, I had hoped that they would translate it here, at least to some degree. Besides that, it was a great episode. Gintama has many great characters, and the fact that so many of them are playing a role in this arc pretty much guarantees that this will be an amazing arc. Like episode 1, it was a build up episode, but it was a great one. 5/5  |
