| I don't care that much about the hating from 1/10 anime voters or 1/5 episode voters, but if this solid episode isn't a 5/5 one, I don't know what is. This explained Usturo's identity/origin in a really solid way, and I still expect more details to come! The decussating concepts of death and immortality according to Utsuro are promising for what I imagine of someone who's supposed to be the main antagonist of an anime like Gintama. Solid 5/5 |

| I love the ED, everyone looks like they walked out of a wuxia drama. xD And I didn't expect Kagura's mom to be shown in the series, but when I saw her in the OP I knew right away it was her mom (despite never seeing her before). Looking forward to what's in store. :D |

| Well that was excellent! A great start for the brand new season of Gintama, and what a buildup for the upcoming episodes in this new arc. That may have been a lot of info dumps in this episode, but this makes it clear who Gintoki's real enemy is. I am so hyped for the rest of the series! :) Kagura's mom is hot af.. :o |
| What a way to start the day for Gintoki, right under Elizabeth's dick. And,lol, that "hideout" was useless. Kamui and Takasugi are missing, and Umibozu seems to have helped the Harusame. Utsuro wants to rule and destroy everything. |

| Wow so much things we learned this episode. Amazing episode overall as expected, I had heard some negative things about this arc but thank god this episode was good. Glad we had some comedy in the beginning of the episode, gave me a warm welcoming and I had a smile on my face the whole time :) The things we learned about Shouyou, or Utsuro is very interesting. So in a way Shouyou was just many of the personalities Utsuro probably has. It did remind me of Sensui from Yu Yu Hakusho. The war on Altana is akin to the hunger for Oil. So Earth was colonized because of it's untapped Altana. Very interesting stuff indeed, looking forward to the next episode. |
| Can't think of a better show to use my 4k on been waiting for this! so strange watching Gintama on a Sunday night funny that they opened up with a time-slot bit ,regarding the comedy i'm happy they kept some of it in as they progressively got more serious seeing how the last season ended it would of been weird to just go back to comedy arcs with how messed up the world is right now hell everyone is having a pretty damn hard time like the Kiheitai. OP has me hyped up for the season really curious to what happening with Kagura's family |

| The GREATNESS that is GINTAMA is back!!! Great first episode. Missed this show so much & so happy & hyped to see it back. OP song is great. ED song is alright. Awesome to see Gin, Kagura, Shinpachi & lots of familiar faces again. LOL that Saiki & Love Live Reference. Nobume is beautiful in that outfit. Interesting info on Altana & Utsuro. DAMN Utsuro is a badass. The most dangerous being in the universe. So freaking HYPED on what's coming up. Can't wait to see Kagura's Mom. |

| I really need those first 8 minutes of good ol gintama comedy before jumping straight into the serious stuff. This arc looks like its gonna be one hell of a ride but i wonder if its only going to be 1 cour and adapt the rakyou arc only cause of it having the subtitle battle for rakyou in the opening and ending. I hope not cause i like the idea of "gintama." being the final season with the end point period representing it all being over. |

| Back at it again! First episode and it's already hitting me right in the feels! Heartwarming and serious yet the comedy is still present! and it never fails to make me laugh! The queen has arrived! Mommy's so alluring! such Beauty! such Grace!  Something to look forward to in this arc: Reunions! The Popular Yato family! This photo is so adorable yet it makes me feel so sad... Look how happy they are before! especially baby Kamui! It so depressing to think how mommy's demise changed everything... Shoyo's disciples the OP and ED pretty much says it all. that were getting some screen time of Shoyo's students! and Im so excited to see them back like the good ol times! when they fought side by side! especially that they now know Utsuro's past and with Takasugi gone missing! A really nice comeback! great episode! GILGAMESH! |

| Woah, Kagura's mom is so beautiful. Gintoki's wanted poster makes me laugh so hard, Katsura is same as ever XD And it's nice to see Umibouzo again. I just hope the rumor is not true that this is the final season. |

| I had a really tough day, I'm hoping this episode will make me laugh, it's gintama after all. That Kaguma mama in the ED though. o.O EDIT: Hahahaha as a love live fan, this episode is gold. Lol at those Love Livers wearing Maki and Nico shirts xD So Shoyo was a bad guy from the very start? That fact must've hurt Gintoki and Katsura. :( And Kagura's mom looks so hot in the OP and ED. But her gaze is terrifying. |

| Is the pin Kagura picked up from Saiki Kusuo no Sainan? Anyways, glad this show is back. The anime took a pretty serious turn so the amount of comedy in this episode was a bit low. But it is still funny though. The revelation about Utsuro was a bit disappointing I was hoping Utsuro was Shoyo's evil twin or something else. I didn't think they would be the same person. A great comeback for the fourth season. Can't wait 'til next week Is it just me or Nobume looks like Akame (from the critic-hated anime)? I like the way Gin-chan says violence. |

| I was hoping they adapt the rest of the chapters first but I guess its not really possible timeline wise. I didn't expect Nobume to make appearance so soon eventhough I read the manga. That's great. |

| Good episode. I do wish there wasn't a huge info dump and the concept of Altana is quite new (save for the reference to the shrine maidens which everyone like forgot). I wish it was talked about more before. Looking forward to the next episode. |

| Don't like this episode that much, I enjoy the comedy but the rest was just so so. Kagura's mom in ED was hot as fuck. Can't wait to see more of her. I hope we will have a lot of filler for this season. Don't like serious arc that much 3/5 for this episode. |
