| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- While I have some mixed feelings about the comedy parts of the show, I think this episode was rather badass thanks to Shimazu and Oda. The violence (uncensored of course) really made this worth watching. Oda got his ideals through pretty well. Loved the second half of this episode. War is serious business!  |

| Epic episode, Pure epicness. Toyohisa Badassery, Oda Badassery, Yoichi Badassery. The sheer badass nature of all these characters is way too entertaining. XD Very interesting way to use shit of all things. XD Yoichi showing his superiority was really funny. I loved the Toyohisa speech to inspire the elves, He's imbuing the classic Japaneese Bushido in them with all the stress on pride and honor. As Oda says he's a real Warlord and a natural born warrior. Battle scenes were amazing, Loved all the blood and gore it was portrayed with. Oda's speeches and laughs amidst the battlefield are way too awesome. Toyohisa standing amidst the flames and racing through the enemy lines to cut off the head of the leader was epic. Interesting flashback about Hideyoshi, Though I don't know who the character in his flashback is. Looks like Oda went with the old Trojan Horse strategy to get into the fort and the enemies fell for it so easily. The last scene was very disturbing, Toyohisa not gonna show these guys any mercy now. All that said, One of my favorite parts of the episode was when Olmine said the difference between them and the Drifters was nothing but a simple matter of perspective. |

| It's getting quite good! I really like the emphasis on tactics in order to defeat opponents, and the amount of blood and gore is quite entertaining, not to mention stylish. It's just a shame the soundtrack is so mediocre. The atmosphere is rather bland now. By the way, isn't that guy in Yoichi's flashback the guy who isn't sure whether he'll be a Drifter or an End? Edit: according to the character information page, he is: "While he fights for the Offscourings, Minamoto is allowed by the Black King to fight when he wants to and against whom. Although he was Yoichi's leader in the past, it is unknown what their dynamic will be like in this world." |

| Pretty good episode, I can understand that the battle against Jesus is going to be one of the last and they have to recover first the elves people honor, but that final scene was shocking. I really hope Toyohisa kills all those bastards. |

| I was about to come in with my own shitty pun, but a couple of users have already done it. Shit happens I guess... Bad pun is bad. >_< Anyway, this episode was awesome, but also very gruesome as well. The tactics used to trap and screw up the soldiers with the water source being contaminated with shit and having arrows also covered with the shit stuff, it was inevitable that Toyohisa and company would win. The brutal killings was very well done as well. Nobunaga's game faces are always so epic though! ^_^ The most brutal scene was at the end, where the group finally found the female elves. However, some of them were beaten and bruised while other were in the middle of being raped before being found. All I hope for now is that Toyohisa behead all of the disgusting rapist fucks and kill the two commanders as well. Also, this was the second episode in a row without the OP song being played. Shame, since I really like it. D= |

| I gotta admit, it's the only show im looking forward each week. Well, there is a few good ones, but this just simply tops everything else this season. Even if i don't really like the "design" of the comedy parts. So far it's a solid 10/10, im just a little concerned about it's length. I most certainly hope it won't end with 12 episodes, since i can't see the story unfold completely, in only 7 episodes. |

Drifters manga is still ongoing, also people responsible for the anime are the same people who did the same for Hellsing, so I bet with Hellsing TV they did learned their lesson not to do anime original endings. Point is, there will be no definitive ending to Drifters, instead there will be a second season down the road when they have enough plot to adapt. |

| Nobunaga the war master making gunpowder out of corpses :) Elves go into archery and kill the 3rd rate soldiers pretty easily. Shit is a basic battle tactic.  |

| God that ending was disgusting- pretty much expected though given not only the nature of war, but the brutality of the anime. This might've been the best episode yet! It was really great getting to learn about the main trio's philosophies on life, death and honor. Now it makes sense as to why Toyohisa is so obsessed with taking his enemies heads, especially those he feels are worthy as opponents. So it turns out Yoichi is actually related to that fox-eyed guy from earlier episodes- they do look alike though, so I'm guessing it's one of his many brothers? It was nice getting a little development for Yoichi since he seems to have had the least concentration so far! |

| Toyohisa and Nobunaga have the elves train themselves for some fighting and they go to take out the soldiers in the village. Toyohisa and his merciless fighting. Nobunaga was equally ruthless with him having the elves shoot literally shitty arrows to infect the soldiers if they don't die by only getting hit. These are two ruthless guys. And those who managed to escape the village assault are getting killed in the forest by Yoichi who is reminded of his similarly merciless brother with all this brutality going on. And they all disguise themselves as soldiers and enter the castle only to find out that the female elves were all being raped and tortured and whatnot. And now Toyohisa is really pissed. He let a soldier live because he surrendered and he's not going to make the same mistake again. More heads will fly next week. |

| This episode was full of shit ... but I liked it. :D And rape was okay. Makes it look more realistic. Would be weird to have just some sexy female elves kidnapped and having to provide food for them (to keep them alive as hostages) without getting anything in return. Hopefully the other Drifters with non-japanese background will get some more screentime soon ... |
| Well, I actually expected the ending considering it's the author of Hellsing. After what he did with Seras's mom, I could saw that coming. Still pretty disturbing. Nobunaga is a very cool guy. Love his attitude of commander and his smart tactics to defeat those soldiers and to infiltrate themselves in the castle, plus he is very hilarious. Expecting a bloodshed next episode. |

| Oh man that's brutal, I wasn't sure if they'd go there since a lot of shows wuss out when it comes to that topic but I'm glad they went there... it's just an unfortunate reality, best to recognize it than ignore it. The women elves being used as sex slaves is definitely something that would happen, I got Braveheart vibes when they first mentioned they were stolen away because that type of shit happened a lot back in the day (still happens in many countries today, very sad). Anyways, I'm looking forward to the massacre next episode, those guys are deserve some steel to the head. |
