Ha, it's almost like a youkai gathering party. I love it. This finale brings together some of the more noticeable youkai in one place.

I think the overall the show was okay, wasn't too special but some of the chapters they adapted were very well done with some 1:1 dialogues. My favorite parts were the mid-season episodes from the Underworld. For the finale, I think they did a decent job with the main characters establishing their positions.

The fox youkai accompanies Mononokean master.

Main guy tries to forget youkai side because he cannot see, but cannot. He got somehow invited to a place and thinks that he's in danger.

He fell unconscious from the shock, and is able to see them again. The reason he was able to see youkai the first place was Moja Moja (it getting his potential of the eye sight out). Then a long scene of apology after the youkai went back. Moja Moja and main guy playing game again. Even the scroll is happy that he's back.

Moja Moja's cute dance for the end. Hoping it gets more...

Stupid question passing by: Did they accelerate the airing date for the last episode? Or is this some kind of 'leak'? :D

AT-X, the first channel to air, aired from Jun 28. Other TV channels started from first week of July (one week after AT-X), so it is "early" to begin with (but not leak).

Eh, this was a fun little youkai show but it did end up being pretty forgettable and bland and it was pretty slow paced.

I started to watch this anime only out of curiosity and it turned out greatly

Now that feels like a thriller since Ashiya can't see any Yokai and trapped inside that room. With "Despair" and Scare-meter rising.
Aaww, and here I thought I'd see Abeno blushing from that Ashiya staring at him with that smile. >_<

Fuzzy/10 overall.

I still keep hanging curious about what happened between Haruitsuki and the previous Mononokean master.

Completely agree that the underground parts were the best part of the show! I thoroughly enjoyed this anime and its characters overall, even if it did slightly dip for me around the later half of the middle. This finale was really good!

6 to 7 out of 10 for me, haven't made up my mind yet. Would love a season 2

Well Fuzzy was goddamn adorable especially at the end playing with the ball.

Overall I'll give this show a 7 since it had nice characters and I liked the yokai of the week style which lead to them coming together at the end to solve Ashiya's problem. Not groundbreaking by any means but a good watch nonetheless

Ahhh I'm going to miss this show so much :'( The explanation for how Ashiya got his sight back was a little unsatisfying, but I'm so excited for the happy ending! This was one of my favorites of the season, easily an 8 out of 10. Maybe more once I spend some time thinking about it. I don't know if a second season will happen, but I'm curious about 1) what happened in Haruitsuki's past that made him so wary of getting close to yokai, and 2) the significance of Ashiya's name, since everyone seems to be intrigued by it. I'll probably read the manga, but a second season would be really nice. Kaji Yuki and Maeno Tomoaki did a fabulous job (coming from someone who typically doesn't like Kaji's voice acting). :)

Glad that Ashiya got his sight back!

Loved this series and would like to see another season someday! Definitely satisfied my love of yokai this season.

Overall 8/10!

Now its time to get ready for Natsume and Nyanko-sensei!
So glad that I'm not a huge manga reader, because the manga readers WHINE WAY TOO MUCH and have to RUIN every adapted anime for the ANIME ONLY WATCHERS!

Yes he is, it's mentioned when they're talking to the Legislator, the fact that only him and few others know that Abeno is human.

The last episode seemed to wrap up the series nicely. However, I could totally see this having a second season. Or at least I wish it would. It's a solid 7/10 overall but I can't decide if it is worth bumping up to an 8/10.

Awww I loved this series. Hopefully there will be more in the future. I mean i still wanna know about Ashiya's last name and why its relevant. And his badass/stoic side back when he was dealing with that thug youkai shop owner who hurt Moja.

Dunno which youkai i like better: MojaMoja or the Mononokean. Those two are so adorable >.<

Some things didn't get explained, like Hanae's hidden powers and bloodline or how Abeno turned into mononokean's owner. I hope they fill those plotholes on a second season or ovas.

This has got to be one of the most pleasant surprises of the year so far for me.
Very chill without driving me into boredom hell Amaama, and satisfying visuals without dipping into QUALITY territory like some of the other Summer seasonals.

Moe Mononokean moe with the speech bubble/text and Fuzzy was extra cute. :3

There seems to be much more we can pick up from regarding Abeno and stuff so i'd definitely watch a second season if it ever got one!

I'm not... I'm not crying. Nope. Not me.

What a wonderful show. I really hope there's a second season. Feels like there's some interesting backstory still waiting to come to the surface.

It was nice seeing a reunion. A nice happy ending.

Really, it's nice to have a show with a happy ending, after so many other shows with meh/sad endings this season.

AAARRRRRGHHH!!!!!! WHYT DID IT HAVE TO END!!!!!!!! the manga gets even better after that!!!!

but the last arc was a lot different in the anime then in the manga, where all the youkais dont come to help and Ashiya gets back his vision almost by accident. - the scene where Abeno bows to Ashiya was a lot more powerfull in the manga as well.

But hey, stille loved it! this is the only show this season that I gave 5/5 all the way!9/10!! because watching this was SOO enjoyable!

Man when Fuzzy hit that "Thank You" at the end I teared up a little bit.

It left it open for a season 2 mainly because of Ashiya's father being mentioned constantly and how Ashiya is "dangerous". Also a lot about the previous Mononokean as well.

I mean I wouldn't mind a season 2 but I wouldn't be upset if there isn't one.

I enjoyed this anime though, a great cast of characters, a good story, and just a chill anime.

I'll give it a 8/10

The horror atmosphere was pretty much on-point. I loved how Ashiya getting his vision back thing was executed. Loved it.

Ending up liking it more than thought. Wish Zenko appeared once at the end but oh well. It was still satisfying. 8/10

Ah, the horror aspect was pretty well done :P It DID seem awfully creepy ... especially the hand at the end! LOL XD To be honest I'm still a little confused as to how Ashiya got his vision back - I guess Fuzzy just wanted him to see yokai again? Or something like that which was how he got it in the first place ... well anyway, it ended all right :P A little disappointed we didn't get too much more plot, like with Abeno talking to the Mononokean at the end there, but a satisfying ending to say the least. I guess he must be warming up to Ashiya after all huh? :3

Overall I quite enjoyed this show! Simple and relaxing to watch with the stories evoking quite a feel-good atmosphere. Quite the variety of characters too! Didn't really have anything special to say about the music or art or anything, and the animation did seem choppy at times, but meh. Like I said above I wish that we could have seen more of Abeno's past with the previous Mononokean Master and the older Ashiya ... oh well. It was still decently enjoyable to watch at least! 7/10

This was a nice little warm-up for Natsume next season. Both shows are quite similar, despite Natsume being the more emotional of the two.

The last episode. Aaaaaahhhhhh that was very nice and happy. And with the ability to see yokai back, this anime comes to a satisfying end. Admittedly, I wasn't really feeling this anime at first, but it started getting better with every episode for the most part. And ultimately, it was good. 7/10

Awesome end. Although that final scene was kinda sad. All the yokai are going to get some pretty shitty feelings when those two die D: Especially Fuzzy. The dialogue between Abeno and the Mononokean made that clear and tbh I didn't need to think about that at the season final >.<

Nonetheless I hope we get to see more :D Enjoyed every bit of it.

It was a decent ending but I definitely recommend to read the manga. Things get a LOT more interesting and plus the art is on point.

Overall, I really enjoyed this series and it was one series that I could not wait to go back and watch and also give me some old school day vibes from Natsume Yuujinchou and it was good. Now I'm in the mood to look forward to the next season of Natsume Yuujinchou. I wouldn't mind having a second season of Fukigen na Mononokean.
