As odd as that went, I'm glad to see Tsukamoto get some new shoes. I mean, the type of shoes built for playing soccer and make plays so that he doesn't slip up.

Tsukamoto really has no fear lol, even talking to one of his toughest teammates like it's nothing. I lol'd @ the end, he still has to improve. Indou's so OP lol

Tsukamoto is finally starting to use his head. He might have missed the pass, but it is a sign that he will improve rather than run around recklessly.

Good episode.

I really like Indou, He's a really cool guy and has a real commanding presence on the field.

Kimishita is scary, The first years are terrified of him xD
He's still a caring and diligent player and everyone seems to respect him, It was nice of him to mend Tsukushi's shoes.

Tsukushi is finally learning soccer, He's finally realizing that he can't only run on the field and that he was to work towards scoring.
That run of his at the end was great but it was so obvious he would miss it, Nonetheless I'm glad to see him showing more improvement. Hopefully he learns to play properly soon.

Good episode. He's slowly but steadily improving, in his own way.

But lol, what's with that preview? Is Tsukamoto trying to seduce someone or something?

Tsukamoto, you had one job......that part was hilarious though, so I'm not even mad.
People on MAL refuse to actually enjoy watching anime.

Your taste in anime isn't a personality trait.

MAL is literally just anime Twitter as its own website lol.

I liked Indou, great guy. The interactions between Kimishita and Tsukamoto are hilarious, hope there's more of that.

Tsukamoto is growing, slowly but surely. That bit at the end was embarrassing as hell though, hahaha. But I'd be more surprised if the ball went in.

does the mangaka know that there is something called offside ? Does he even know that there is no such thing as a player who only run ( with closed eyes too ! ) ? You can not just run in football leaving your position ! And there is no need for any player to follow tsuka , because he will end up in the offside trap anyway . Also there is no such thing as tackling players while not even having the ball ! ( this only happen when giving a free kicks , because the player start pushing for their positions )

This is not football , this is so/very unrelastic and i know they were not playing real match , but even when they did , all ran toward the ball at the same time with no offside or what so ever .

Anyway still watching it because i love football , but unfortunately this is very unrealistic anime .

okay episode overall imo. just characterization and development like usual :D but i kinda wish that they animate the football action scene rather than cutting it. the rivalry beterrn Seiseki and that school (i forget the name) was kinda interesting to me.

The thing with the senpais and Sukamoto is following the formula of an harem story:

-Find someone who is unapproachable.
-Have a little chat/fight
-Get something in common
-He/she will realize that you are a good guy
-He/she will recognize you and do something for you

Enjoy your harem experience... I mean soccer team XD

Kimishita is awesome. No look passes, pinpoint through-balls in traffic. Reminds me of a Pirlo or a Xavi. Love strikers may put the ball in the net, but its playmakers like him that create the chances for goals.
That said, Tsukamoto remains the silliest and most unlikely of stars. Cannot wait for him to improve.

Well, they are did not have professional referee, so it's fine, i guess. I mean, in a real soccer/football there is one main referee, two referee on sides, two referee, both standing close to goalkeeper of each team(that's a new rule, i think, so i did not pay much attention) and reserve-referee. And there still are enough mistakes, related to offsides. And there is only Mizuki as referee. Maybe there is someone, who is has standing on line with Tsukamoto, just that character is has not been shown. I mean, there is lot of people in one place, so naturally no one pays attention to Tsukushi, even Mizuki.

Yes they did not have a referee , but when they played their first match , they had a referee and still they all ran near each other . anyway we will see in future episodes if that will change .

BTW, i don't think that author doesn't know about offside. I mean, it's a basic rule of football (since 90's, if i remember correctly). In some extras this rule is began to explain, but the explanation was interrupted.

Its not about him not knowing it personaly , its about him ignoring it . Though i used the offside thing to show that so far we have not seen real tactic football , where we actuly see passes , long passes , tackles , mistakes , etc .

About the manga picture, is it from the same manga ? Because" woha "what a shitty art style ( unless it was an extra page to explain things )

Anyway i am waiting them to start playing real football , arghhh

Why the hell does everyone in this show act like the MC is the God of Soccer who has descended upon the Earth? The guy is USELESS. He can't even kick a ball right. Nobody in their right mind would take him on the team just because of "potential". This show is really poorly written.

Tsukamoto's perpetual round pink cheeks are an eyesore now. Hope he grows out of it, I don't give a fuck if it's his signature. He looks like fucking Peko-chan.

Also, although I enjoy sports Anime, I have never met anyone passionate about the sport they play as these guys. I have never heard anyone say, "this is MY basketball/soccer/baseball" and act all gungho. Usually they're in it for the money or fame. Rarely for the game itself. I am sure there are people who are truly passionate about sports and live and breathe it regardless whether or not they can earn a living from it but I haven't met anyone like that myself

I bet living and breathing is stressful for Kimishita. Ugh.
