Even if the character designs belong in the mid-2000s, its animation is average at worst.

Information on the first episode is up. The site currently lists 12 episodes, but an image correlating to an episode 13 exists; I assume a special will be bundled with the final volume.

Naaah, it's morning anime for kids it will be definitelly at least 2-cour.

Even if it isn't well received I'll still watch it. In school we watched at least a couple Bill Nye episodes each year from grade 3 all the way up to grade 12 so even if the story isn't good I'm sure the nostalgia factor will make it enjoyable.
