Heh all the conspirationist theories this episode...especially that movie on screen.

Kinda interesting for Jiro to realize why he joined the Superhuman Bureau in the first place. Plus, I think the episode did a fine job with portraying the Rainbow Knight. Jiro's like "I knew it all along" lol, quite a way to end the episode imo.

We get more glimpses of Jiro's backstory.

Jiro was the one who killed Rainbow Knight by accident!

OMG this episode, everything is revealed and some incident linked together. Pretty big deal because big part of Jiro "justice" and personality comes from there. Im really curious how this series will end.

After this episode, i noticed something. That Jiro is actually in between Kaijuu and Choujin, o.0 so in order for things to end nicely, Jiro needs to die(my prediction)

Damn this was a crazy episode, again. Jiro's character is pretty broken at this point, excited to see how he responds in the final stretch.

Fuurouta really showed his worth this time.

Jiro killed Rainbow Knight, that's crazy. And he knew it, too.

so, in the end, was Rainbow Knight a bad guy or a good guy ? that's ma question. was the one who set all of that incedent jiro's dad ? i'm getting more confused right now, but i like the flashback in this episode. the action was okay imo. they put more effort on the conpiracy things in this episode imo. and that helment reall bothers me a lot. it reminds me of something in real life which is reall disturbing, it's as if this show is trying to say something for what will happen in real life, or maybe that's just me :p

either way, i kinda enjoy this episode a bit, yet i'm still confused.
looking foward for the next episode :D

For the first time, I'm getting really confused. Does anyone remember what did the Rainbom Knight incident really entail ?

This show is starting to feel like a collaboration between Yoshiyuki Tomino and Philip K. Dick...

My feeling right now is that Jiro will die at the end with Emi along side him.

Jiro, Jin, Daitetsu and other kids with superhuman potential were all being experimented on by Ikuta Labs. Rainbow Knight "kidnapped" them all (except Jiro) and hid them, because he was trying to save them from being experimented on. The government agencies conspired to depict it was Rainbow Knight suddenly kidnapping a bunch of normal kids from their families' homes and painting him as a superhuman-turned-evil-criminal.

Hence, as Jiro entered the room, Jin tried to yell at Jiro that it was okay, that Rainbow Knight wasn't really being a villain... but unfortunately Jiro didn't listen.

That "propaganda movie" did a good job clearing up the missing pieces from Jiro's past.

oh yeah, and "Arla Unicorn!" made my day.

The one thing I don't get is how the heck did they manage to make a movie to reenact all of Jiro's story? If anything, why would anyone decide to even make a movie for it? And for the movie to be "historically accurate", someone close to Jiro must have been the one to leak information OR to have made the film themselves. But why even bother making the movie anyway? And inviting Jiro and everyone else to watch it as well..
That's the part that makes the least sense to me.
Were they trying to show Jiro via "peaceful means" that he was the villain? Why bother going to such lengths to do so?

I'm so in love with historical references in this show. This week we got Mitsubishi Heavy Industries bobming and Typhoon Mary as in 1974... Almost every episode has so much work put into it.

i cant see anything but this series fading immediately into obscurity especially if the final episodes dont hold up well

Well quite a few years have passed, but there are quite a few outspoken people on /a/ who absolute love the show and say it was the best anime of the year.

Theres a solid chance those posts included me, not really indicative of it gaining a following though the small group of people on /a/ watching it were like the only place that was really positive about it the and still kind of are today, this shits hipster cred through and through, or at least it would be if half the people you talk to didnt think it was nonsensical.

I met one guy at a con that loved the series, he asked a question at a panel by the guy who did the mechs for the series (as well as ibo, xenoblade x, and gundam 000 about designing the stuff for this show, and me and my buddy had to go track him down after the panel for the one of 12 people who love this series to circlejerk how underrated it is.

People in this un-enlightened age are simply not receptive to the genius of Urobuchi Gen's. Evident all over again. Gen does produce art, as it was first envisioned - works of fundamental philosophy in a way that requires the other to search for meaning enthralled. Latest Godzilla suffered the same fate, or rather, destiny. Brilliance and questions to ask oneself lost to the violence-craving mass, who were merely looking forward to flashy scenes of monster-on-monster action. Makes me shed a tear for my fellow species each time I remember our modernity.

@Daniel_Naumov Urobochi didn't have any part in the creation of this series. He simply wrote one episode (the one about the american veteran, if I remember well), and was one of the famous "guest writers" the promotional campaign of the show promised for the second half.
