Sigh. :( I actually felt the movie was pretty alright. O gawd I gonna get hate-mails :S. Anyways, The movie was pretty good in-turns on animation, sound, quality and etc. As expected from a company such as Bones. Did the movie did the anime justice? Emmmm..... NO. :S. LOL I actually like Nirvash in fairy mode despite the twisted logic of why a giant robot would or could turn into a tiny fairy. On the other hand, Eureka being more human right off the start obviously destroys the whole image of Eureka in the mind of fans. I really didnt mind it. Eureka was shown in the movie to be confined until she met Renton. From the beginning of the movie we can also see young Renton and Eureka growing up together. This was probably where Eureka's slight humanity came from. We have to understand the fact that people change from their surrounding influences. Just as in the anime Eureka personality change after meeting Renton. The only difference in the movie was that Eureka already knew Renton at a young age. The plot obviously lack clarity and depth. Basically Bones screwed up thinking a light movie with a cute Eureka and romantic moments would save the show for fans and be a money maker. I didnt mind the plot change but one huge factor that made the whole movie sucky was the lack of human development. Seriously, with new personality and character traits, fans cannot stuff so much new info within their heads and understand the poorly layed out plot (hence so many viewers were lost) at the same time. The director failed to sell the characters which in turn causes confusion on why the characters would conduct such actions. The rebirth of Renton and Eureka was alright. To clarify Eureka couldnt talk as she basically turned into a giant HUMAN baby after losing all her memories and stuff as an image (and i guess she fulfilled her dream). Though the ending was a big WTF for me: Nirvash dissapearing, big flood, rainbows appearing out of nowhere, Eureka getting long hair and etc. I was like o.0 It made sense somewhat if you really think about it and stretch your thinking. But what I would ask the director would be the fact that is this really the best ending you can leave us with? I really doubt the answer would be a YES. I personally felt the movie had too much and it moved to WAY TOO FAST for viewers to digest. Another extra 30 minutes and effort to clarify such small points would have definitely saved the show. 7/10 |

lol I dont know if I liked or hated it Its very difficult for me to see everything in a different universe because the original Eureka Seven Anime is my number one favorite. Too much plot for 1:55,They coud have made a better movie with less complication Eureka and Renton saved the movie for me 7/10, I dont care ; ( |

That was a nice way of testing out my new computer; couldn't get it playing on my old one. I loved the battle scenes, they kept all the fast-moving motion from the show at least; made it more fun to watch. As a revision, I was rather lost until 2/3rds of the way through, then I just started enjoying it for what it was. 9/10 |

Great movie.. I really didn't try to compare it to the series because it is completely different but- in the end the story did come off pretty well even if it was in a jumble in some parts. At first I wasn't to embraced with the story because I was really hoping to see it continue off the Eureka 7 show.. so I actually ended up stopping the movie at the :40 mark. But when I came back and tryed looking at it in a different perspective it was really great. I found the movie to be a little more darker and more mature in parts then the series. Overall, it was really enjoyable and I wish I could of heard more of the sound tracks bleeding through like the series. Still- it was great, if I see it in stores i'll definitely consider buying it. Still gives me that chilling feeling that the Eureka 7 Show gave. 9.9/10 |

What a mess! This movie tried to tell too many complicated stories at once, so it ended up with a very confusing and disjointed narrative. Individually, each of the plots alone (mankind facing imminent destruction, Gekko State trying to reach Neverland, Eureka and Renton's conflicted journey) would have been interesting enough to support the entire movie, but they crammed everything into two hours with an incoherent end result. The action sequences looked gorgeous, but a lot of character development was sacrificed to include those flashy scenes. Other than the two leads, everybody else showed no personality, and their only purpose was to move the plot forward. I can't even understand the motivations behind Dominic or Anemone's characters, but I felt annoyed that they played such a vital role in the resolution when they had so little characterization. Overall, the movie lacked structure and depth. Sorry if this sounds like a scathing review, but I saw glimpses of a good movie hidden underneath all its flaws, and that frustrates me a lot. The quality just wasn't what I expected from the Eureka Seven franchise. |

Just watched it, I have mixed feelings about it. It was really nice to see Eureka Seven's characters, but the whole change of story, the pacing and the density where a little too much. It's hard to care about gekko members' story in only 2 hours of show, and it feels like coming out of nowhere, lacking depth that only a long serie could provide. Well, Mutiner pretty much summarized my thoughts in fact. But all in all, I enjoyed it as a standalone, even if it can't compare with the greatness of the original. |

um....i just watched this and it may seem radical and stuff....but this movie may take place in a parallel earth....let me explain..... Series 10,000 years into the future Eureka can hear nirvash while renton can't exactly dewey novak is holland's brother and he's alive till the end the moon has eureka and renton carved into it eureka and renton have three kids eureka is scub coral and many more that you must pay attention to Movie 54 or so years from 2009!!!!!! eureka is an image dewey has a different last name in the movie they refer to Neverland as the place with the moon that is CARVED...another dimension it's hard to grasp or explain!!! but in the last episode of Eureka seven in the series...there is a giant green glow-----in the movie that green glow is caused by the alternate versions of eureka and renton opening a portal to Neverland it's just a thought!!!!!!! |

Ok, I just finished watching this and I have to agree with the others. You MUST have an open mind and not try to compare this movie against the show too hard. Since I knew this was an alternative version going in I cleared up that problem. So overall as the movie goes, I actually really enjoyed it. The plot change was good enough to keep me watching the whole show. Though the only thing that confused me a bit was the ending (same as the series). Could they have done a better ending? YES. But I guess leaving a somewhat open ending leaves room for all the fanboys to raise up and say what they think happened, while the company who made it doesn't get bashed for having an ending people didn't like. So overall, I liked this movie. It had great plot, although it may be a little too fast for some (luckily I could keep up), and the graphics and fast motion scenes - 15/10! P.S. After having finished the series two days before watching this, I noticed a LOT of scenes that were just kinda copy pasted into this movie. I think I lost track around 16 or so. That was probably the only thing keeping this from being a 10/10 movie. I mean seriously, you have a 2 hour movie with 95% of it new scenes, and yet you still bring back old cut-scenes? Come on really... |

google "Eureka seveN - Pocket ga Niji de Ippai" and you might find a source for the end song. I'm not sure if it works though. The end song/theme was the best part of the movie, it did suck pretty hard. |

I saw the movie at Sci-Fi London's Anime All Nighter just a few hours ago, and in comparison to the other movies shown it was pretty bad. I didn't think it was a terrible movie, but I do think it could have been a lot better. The movie is so serious that all of the characters have turned into assholes. The only characters I liked were Dominic and Anemone (who each have about five minutes of screentime and do near to nothing). All of the others were pricks, especially Holland, and what the hell happened to Nirvash? I thought the story dragged on and became repetitive. Every character has at least ten monologues in this film and they keep shoving things down your throat. This movie was pretty pointless and didn't need to be made at all. I'm a little disappointed in Bones, although the animation was good. |

Just watched it since I'm a diehard E7 fan. One word to describe it would be rushed. Nothing made sense and a lot of the mythos in the story weren't explained well, or at all. The plot holes kept forcing me to make connections with the original E7, but that was worse because the setting was different, just made it all confusing. The ending was really stupid as well, it wasn't as dramatic as it should have been, it was just Renton and Eureka in a OP'd mecha attacking the Image, or whatever. One thing that I still don't get is: the neverland alternate dimension that the kids were looking for, what did the carved moon say? Nanashi's fansubs didn't include it. I'd also like to think of this as a prequel, 8000 years before the setting of E7, and that the characters were all just re-incarnated under different settings. |

Hmmm. -The parallels with the Evangelion movie are extensive -The rehashed scenes (boomerang through aircraft, that monk + coral girl scene replaced by Gekko crew, etc) were annoying -The pacing was mad, and very poor -The characterisation compared to the series was awful. |

My first reaction at the end of the movie... They turned Eureka into a moe blob. DO NOT WANT! But yeah, the movie... It may have been partially disorientation regarding the characters and story, but I felt like my brain spent too much of the movie hurting. It was too hard to follow for what the art and previous story had me expecting. Seeing Hap being such an asshole was really, really weird. |

Though maybe it shouldn't have been, since it did raise my hopes that maybe we would actually see some interaction with the world of the TV series at some point, which never did happen. not a new dimension but a prequel. You kind of have to pay attention but this happens in the 21st century right before humans left the earth (which is talked upon in the series) and show how the coralians (now called the image) first came to earth (which is really the planet the main series takes place on) But this would of been way better as an separate series that identifies it as a prequel as not to confuse people. |

After having watched the movie after the TV series...I agree with the WTF expression :P. I could pretty much get a grip of 90% of what was going on but I'd say that I'm more on a positive side of the movie.I liked pretty much everything [Knowing that it was supposed to be ''Another universe story'' and not a continuation(Is that a word lol?)] EXCEPT the Ending. I would have accepted everything but not that.It was just sad seeing Eureka completely BLANK and made completely different.I'd rather they both died or survived and lived happily with memories of her (Tell me it's not possible to live happily after someone you like died lol).Still, it was almost as good as the TV series so I'l rate it 9/10 ^^,Since I rated the TV series 10/10. |

Waited for this movie for years since the series ended where I expected this movie to be a continuation of the ending of the series. Like how Eureka and Renton meet up with his Grandfather and the children, fight new enemies etc. Instead I get a poor, poor movie which doesn't make any sense to me throughout, all the characters we completely different and is a trainwreck overall. Still rated it highly because I'm a diehard Eureka seveN fan but I'm really, really disappointed. |

I thought the movie would be better then what it was.. what made me dislike it was the fact that they used scenes from the anime in the movie that just made me face palm. You could also totally tell that this movie was rushed. I only like this movie because of the begining where Renton and Eureka were little and Nirvash was like a little pet. But in the middle of the movie everything went downhill. from then i only liked it for the scenes of Renton and Eureka together. The ending for me was okay only for the fact that Eureka had long hair :3 overall i gave a 6 for it unfortunately. >:( |

This could have been better if it was a multi-episode OVA. Much, much, much, much better. As much as I loved the fluidly animated Itano Circus sequences, the eyecandy of this movie just doesn't make up for the incoherence of the plot - and it shouldn't have to. What was the plot about? There was so many sub-plots - plenty of them weren't fleshed out nor at least briefly explained - that I couldn't discern what exactly was what to piece together the overarching story of the movie. Despite the gratuitous amounts of exposition the plot still made little sense - it still jumped from one point to another without so much a decent transition. This movie shared Gundam F91's flaw in which it was poorly executed because of the format of its release: something crammed into 115 minutes would not give it justice. |

At first I was intrigued by the concept of a new story. Then I watched the movie. Right after the child sequence the movie started to nosedive into the horrible abyss. The art was great and the action sequences were also enjoyable, however....KILL THE WRITERS of this movie. Too many cliches, EMOing, the disjointed plot, and just a downright bad script. Did I mention the horrible ending song? I gave it a 3 and want my 117 minutes of life back. |

I enjoyed this movie...sure there was some reused animation but I didn't mind (It's good animation after all). Perhaps a lot more people would've have liked this movie if there was no reused animation and if there were new characters rather than using the same character designs from the show. The only other thing I would have to say is maybe they could have spent an extra 10 minutes on the background of the plot, especially if someone who hasn't seen the series wanted to watch this. |

Not a bad movie, just I would have liked a bit more of an explanation, I was excited when I saw the moon because I thought for a few seconds we might actually get a bit of a check in on that universe(we did a bit, I think). Very vague movie but solid, ending theme was bad though. I did like the expansion of Hap's character, made him very dark. Did anyone not see Tallhow being pregnant from the second they said she collapsed anyway. |

I read that it is not at all a continuation for the series, it was just ment to be an alternate version of what could have happened to renton in eureka, but they really messed up on the movie because why would they add the ring of rainbows and the heart engraved into the moon, if it was just suppose to be a different story? It makes no sense really. |

This movie had all the potential of being something great, but sadly it fell short. I personally believe that the largest failing was trying to compact so many complex events and plot-lines together into a 2hr movie, when really each individual facet of the story needed to be explained much more clearly. The time limit rushed the story along, without much time for making sense of the scrambled amalgamation of new events, mythos, character development (which was severely lacking), etc. etc. I felt like Renton during his first trip through the Zone! Just a series of Wait a minute... WTF?!?!...huh??...i guess.. kinda moments. Overall, I give it a 6/10, but thats cuz I'm an e7 fan already and i was just happy to see the group again, even if stoner got smushed :( A. Part End B. Part Start Also, A lot of people are trying to figure out when and where the movie takes places, so i figure I'll throw in my two cents. Lots of people are saying its a prequel and others say its an alternate dimension, but i think that it may be a bit of both. As you may recall, during the series, it is stated that if the limit of life (limit of questions) is broken that the universe would tear asunder and that on the other side of the tear is another dimension (Kinda like FMA and the other side of the gate thing). I think that this second dimension could be where the movie took place, and fake Holland was trying to gain access to the dimension from the series (where the planet has the green trapar ring and the moon is carved with renton+ eureka) However, the timeline of the movie dimension is farther in the past than the correlating timeline of the series dimension, meaning that the movie dimension contains an earth where the Image is still in the process of taking control of the planet for the first time, pre-human evacuation; and the e7 series dimension is at the point in its history where the coralions and humans live in peace and renton and eureka have saved the day. So, hypothetically, If the movie holland had succeeded in reaching "the green planet" (as he called it) then he would have jumped ahead 10,000+ years into the future of an alternate dimension (aka the one from the series that we all know and love!). There is one thing that I would like to figure out more about... and that is the relationship between Neverland and the dimension with the green planet (series dimension). It seems that movie Holland believed they were the same place, his ultimate goal where everyone would not age. However, I feel that they might actually be seperate, after all people can age in the dimension where the series took place. Maybe M-Holland (the M stands for movie version) was mistaken and Neverland is actually the Coralian/Image control center, where humans exist as incorporeal consciences, which would allow M-Gekkostate to never grow old n die. This could also explain where M-Renton & M-Eureka ended up as well, as well as why eureka got memory wiped (gave memories to the scubs). But i digress... Wow, I wrote way more than I originally intended. All of this is pure hypothesis and my own interpretation on how the story MAY be structured. I just figured it was some good food for thought. The TV series: 10/10 This film: 8/10 It was by no means bad, but it felt.. different, in an odd way. If you expect that the film has the same feel to it as the series, then you'll be disappointed. Like I said, it isn't bad - but is sure did have the potential to be so much more. |

the movie is a continuation of the orignal story in the end it repeats the ending in a diffrent context and show what really happened to eureka and renton and still we dont know about the kids or if talhoes kid is even going to survive or if holand will survive lol any way what im saying is that the movie is just an off spin that bones created to throw every one off for hopefully a season 2 the ending just looked to good to be a true ending for the to of them i felt the ending of both the show and the movie sets up a major cliffhanger to a hopefully soon to come eureka 7season 2. |
