THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.
----------------------------------------
Hmm? Nobody made a discussion for this episode? Not a bad episode, just that Goro needs to learn some proper manners. Not that I hate his character or what, guess I'll wait and see how his character develope huh? I wonder what kind of pitching Goro will learn now?

Goro means well, I think. It's just he's so passionate about baseball that he frequently speaks without thinking.

Proper manners you say, what can you expect of a 9 years old thats so passionate about baseball? And besides that Goro always played alone so I guess he never had to chance to learn it.

Couldn't stop laughing when the coach called a ball after the batter swung lol. I like him!

Curious to see how Goro's pitching will progress from here now that the coach called him out on just using fastballs >.<

I'm glad the coach called Goro on his BS, I like him. Took down his arrogance a peg as well. You don't go up to a team, mock them into making you play a game just to prove how great you are. That's now how you ask a favor which is what this was.

Then the end of the game hit was even more genius on that coach's part. Great episode.

Darn, kind of wish he somehow did wind up on Yokohama little now . . . No offense to the other coach but he would get a lot better with that coach. Well, either way, just glad he cured his yips.

Awwwn, so this coach was nice in the end. When he said that ''only his stupid father could die with a dead ball'' shocked me, but damn, day saved by that speech.

Goro will have to learn to make a good curveball, a classic to outing players. He'll have to learn more than fastball, or he'll get crushed against experianced players.

I thought Gorou learned how to throw a curve ball when he was 5.
Anyways, great episode as always. Very motivational speech given by the coach.

Well it's not that easy... even if you know a fast ball is coming, you still don't know where the ball will be aimed at... But w/e, point still stands, learn to curve Goro.

That coach was a bastard when he was a kid. Accidents can happen, but to intentionnally aim at a player you have to be an asshole.

Gorou's an insufferable brat like 90% of every episode.

Glad to see the issue was resolved quickly and wasn't dragged out like in that other baseball anime. Goro really does need to tone down though and good to see the coach show him that you can't just win with fast balls.

That coach is great for helping Goro overcome his trauma.
He needs to learn breaking balls too.

I'm glad that the Goro part is keeping the early quality of Major. A bit weird since they are 9 year old, but the drama is really good. I liked this yips arc, and the opposing coach was good. I hope that circumstances lead to him teaching Goro in the next season. His character would be wasted at just the little league.

Yokohama's coach is a cool dude. That's all I have to say on the matter.

The fat kid from the other team probably would have hit on Gorou before his freak-out had it not been for Gorou throwing slower due to the sling his arm was in. He definitely had the timing for Gorou's previous fastballs down.

I look forward to seeing Gorou learn breaking balls.

Also, he shouldn't have as much trouble with changeups now.

Man the coach in Yokohama Little is great compared theirs, makes me wonder if Goro will stay or not in the future.

"I'm not a coward. I'll crush yokohama little league and come back!"

I feel like he missed the point. How does that make him a coward? That he doesn't take reckless risks while pitching? Looks more like he lost the confidence in his pitches. Well, he is still a 9 year old with a lot to learn in life.

But it was great to see how the other teams coach realised this and helped him out.

i liked how that couch learned Goro how to get over his trauma, though it was so obvious for me that other player was Goro's father...
and the way the episode concluded was very good, leaves a lot of ways for Goro to develop.

He may be harsh and say some shocking stuff (lmao calling a strike a ball) but respect to the Yokohama little coach for calling Goro out on his BS and help him overcome his trauma which is something the Dolphins coach wouldn't be able to do as he's not that great
