DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- I think they played the OP theme song before but it still looks very graceful and well animated. Pretty nice episode. I love how confident and self confident Shirayuki is. Felt kinda bad for her when she got ambushed by Mihaya in the forest though. Still, I liked how she was able to fight her way to freedom with both skills, courage, and intelligence. Impressive. |

| Living at a new place (not in the palace, though, like OP shown) trying to work as pharmacist. Wow, a very young pharmacist from the palace... Little boy on the cart is cute when she described her hair is as red as apple. A guy caught his eyes on her hair for money while she goes to get some herbs. She's strong to undo the robe herself, though. She showed she used the brain and the use of her medicine while trying to escape from him, then the prince came to the rescue. So he used to live in that palace when he was rich. Wanting to see how the prince lived. ED is nice. Who's that 4th person with the prince in one scene of ED, though. I thought it was either Nobu's character or the guy that abducted the main girl in this ep., but doesn't seem to look like either of them. She's finally in the palace and Nobu's character next?! |

| Shirayuki is so independant and capable, much respect for her character. Zen is very charming and strives to be like Shirayuki. This is charming in every way when they are together, loved this episode, got many smiles out of me. |
| Shirayuki is really such a likeable character, from the way she thinks to the way she acts. Personally, i love this episode more so than the previous one, probably because we get to see more of Shirayuki and her interactions with Zen. Animation was really nice as well. Love the ending song^^ Overall, a good episode. Looking forward to the next one. |

| This was a good episode that showed Shirayuki charm as a main heroine. Can't wait for Obi next week. The ending song was good and the art with Shirayuki and Zen was cute. The end with Sirayuki and Zen looking at each other looked a lot like the manga art. |
| Nice episode but I don't know what to think of this repetitive plot....I mean people go after Shirayuki because of her hair and then Zen comes to rescue... Though I do like how She herself tried to fight back and escape |

| Lol'd at The guards blushing XD Man I love Shirayuki <3 She's awesome! The way she escaped by herself scraping the ropes and using the herbs to paralyze him was really cool. She needed help at the end but doesn't lower from her effort. Loved the ED a lot both visually and the song :3 |

| Disappointed with this already. The only plot seems to be Shirayuki getting captured despite the fact that she's supposed to be a "strong" female character (though in fairness she did put up a bit of a fight) and then Zen magically appearing out of nowhere to save the day (seriously, how did he know exactly where to find her?). This better have something else other than that and slight romantic development (that will probably go nowhere in the anime), otherwise I'm going to struggle to enjoy it. Well, at least there was less hilariously pretentious dialogue in this episode, so I suppose that's a bit of a consolation. The ED's pretty good though. |
| Great show, as usual. I liked how they kind of broke down the Damsel in Distress trope (for the most part) as she mostly escaped on her own. Bones is doing a good job. There's some stuff added here in the first half that wasn't in the manga, and it gives the whole plot of the episode more oomph as well as giving some more interaction with Zen and Shirayuki. Also, the scenery is beautiful. Characters seem kinda lanky/thin at times, though. |
| Really enjoyed this episode. Liked how Shirayuki these last two episodes has come up with some cool herbalist medicine/offense. My only gripe is that Shirayuki knew that the herbs should have SOME effect so why not when cornered give that guy a kick to the face to knock him out or when cornered outside a knee to the groin. She can obviously escape by herself and she must know some sort of self defense. |

| I am so glad that Shirayuki isn't just a simple be there for looks in this anime. I mean she has brains and skill. Her and Zen are going to be together. She kicks ass and that herb/fire trick was cool. Also those knights blushing was funny Really enjoying this one for sure. Look forward to next week. 5/5 |

| I like it very much how Shirayuki is not just some helpless maiden and can really take care of herself...and be very resourcefull...A strong, confident and smart female lead indeed....we don't get them often in anime series so i like that. I also like the prince....he is not the standard type either...so i hope those two will get together ..cant wait for next weeks episode. :) By the way has it been confirmed how many episodes this season will have? i know it's split cour but it has not been confirmed if it is 24 or 12 episodes per season. |
| Loved the episode. Shirayuki standing for herself and trying to escape from the tower without waiting for Zen to rescue her was my favorite scene from this episode. Also I think that the appearance, though little, of Ryuu to explain why Shirayuki decided to be a court herbalist was a perfect addiction for the manga (specially because we got to see Ryuu >.<) Looking forward for the next episode<3 |

| Thoughts for this Episode As I thought the ED of the first episode was actually the OP. And the real proper ED's song and animation was good too. Okay this episode was really amazing. I really want to see this get animated every week. Damn it. When Obi will appear? Well I guess I need to wait for the next week's episode! |

| I love Shirayuki as a character, she's pretty and strong and not such an airhead or already head-over-heels in love with Zen (yet). And Zen is not an obnoxious prince although he is entitled. They are very charming together, I like it. But I am getting sick of the damsel in distress plot every episode. I know it's only been twice, but I get it already, men like to capture her because they want to bang a redhead. There's so much more about Shirayuki that I hope they explore that in the next few episodes instead. |

| Most badass female MC that doesn't require a weapon to be so. Using knowledge of herbs and medicine as her fighting points is refreshing relative to traditional character designs. I can't quite put my finger on why this anime is excellent so far (other than the obvious artwork and animation), but it is. Strong contender for the top three of the summer lineup. |
| Amazing so far. The world feels very believable and is immersive even if it isn't strictly realistic. The art and the animation is the best of this season and the romance looks like it's going to go somewhere. Shirayuki is such a badass too, I love strong female characters and it actually feels genuine compared to just having a battle girl with a sword and chain mail bikini. |

| I really liked seeing that Shirayuki didn't let herself become a damsel in distress, the way she fought back was great and she's very smart too Zen is already in love with her lol but that's alright because I'm in love with her too....Her drive, determination and kindness is nothing short of admirable....I was really happy that he came to save her just in the knick of time too Great episode yet again this week, and I have no complaints about anything that happened whatsoever |

| Shirayuki is a really strong character and I love her already. She's intelligent and extremely brave. She's such a good main character! Also, big dumbs up for the relation between Shirayuki and Zen. I really like how they're interacting as good friends and in a slightly romantic way. They both respect and care for one another. Great show already! |
