A scan of Weekly Shounen Sunday's 14th issue, to be released tomorrow, is announcing a new manga series by the creator of Kami Nomi zo Shiru Sekai. Titled Nanoha Yougashiten no Ii Shigoto (A Good Job at Nanoha Western Confectionery Shop), Tamiki Wakaki's new series will begin in the magazine's 19th issue, to be released on April 8. The new manga will center around a western confectionery specialty shop whose cakes taste heavenly.

The western-style cake store in the new series shares the same name with a shop in Wakaki's recently serialized one-shot, Yougashiten Galaxy. Released in Shounen Sunday in August 2014, the one-shot revolved around Komugi Nanoha and her family's store that is about to go out of business, despite its cosmic clientele. It is unknown if the two stories will be related.

This announcement follows closely after the start of Wakaki's other new manga series, Neji no Hitobito (The Screw People), which revolves around the continuous self-doubt of high school student, Yamato Neji. On February 25, the title started serializing monthly via Shogakukan's digital manga platform Ura Sunday. The first two chapters are currently available on the website.

Kami Nomi zo Shiru Sekai was published from April 2008 to April 2014. The series has been adapted to three TV anime seasons and four OVAs.

What was wrong with the ending? He got with the girl that suited him the most.

Exactly but it all comes down to people being whiny because their best girl didn't win.

Ah, so he write shonen romcom again this time? (I honestly prefer him writing shonen battle manga). Kaminomi, despite being a decent read, felt incredibly draggy during Goddess arc, too talky at times, and the ending is banal, seemingly negating most of the dramatic build up during Goddess arc. So i don't want him to make something like that again.

Among some of his works, i actually enjoyed Seikesshou Albatros the most for its action sequences and perfectly timed comedic moments. Too bad that that series failed to sell well that it got axed after just several chaps.

The girl that Keima picked in Kami Nomi was an expected call, especially for someone who has seen the ending of the third season of the anime adaptation. Pure, normal girl. Nothing special about her. Totally Keima's type.

Slice of Life and Slice of Cake. I will likely be following both. :3

The Chihiro shipper logic could destroy the screw people manga.

All it takes is the "Screw individuality" concept to be introduced to axe that manga in less than 3 chapters, just like how The last three chapters of TWGOK had introduced so may ploholes, contradiction and most impotantly undermined the theme that the collective shallow anime fandom hated so much.

Be true to yourself and have the courage to face reality.

Will the worst shippers in the history of anime and manga prevail once more?

Or will the true "TWGOK" manga be created, which could actually save anime?

Seems a lot of people have forgotten that the author had health problems while finishing the manga, so of course it was rushed.

rushed?

Well, that was obviously because he was sick as hell. I guess if he's starting a new series, he has gotten better (I don't know though).

its sad to rush such a long series' ending...Looks like he is all better now so he could have delayed the ending of TWGOK?

While TWGOK's ending is not excellent by any means, I forgive that because of his IRL situations. Better have rushed ending rather than seeing him died before finishing the series, that would be so awful.

Then again, Wakaki doing rather disappointing anti-climax after epic build up is not something uncommon as well. However, the number of plot twists, unexpected development, epic moments, and Wakaki/10 in TWGOK is enough to make me satisfied with the series, especially when it starts with a very simple premise. I have no idea how could you diskike a series over a simple rushed ending when you get hundred chapters of (mostly) good things.
