| On the one hand, you can't really criticize this sort of thing too much until the end. On the other hand, I hate when people dismiss people who are confused by the unexplained jargon saying that they just have no appreciation for old anime where all the information isn't just spoonfed directly. |

Normally like you said it'd be kind of pointless to criticize this aspect while ongoing but the only reason im so critical on the vocabulary of this series is cause i see 0 benefit from hiding it for a later time, in a mystery series keeping a viewer in the dark on a key term can add to the intrigue and mystery of the story at hand but in this case(for alot of keywords and not just kuntala) its a simple term that the characters spout off with knowledge of while the viewer doesnt yet the term has been fully explained elsewhere so theres obviously no secret to it all its just keeping you in the dark for the sake of it As far as i see it, we are 1/5th of the way through series(some people may have forgotten this is only a 2 cour series and not a 4) and there is no benefit from dripping information on the keywords presented as they had, like that scene of the captain "interrigating" barril in episode 4 where it was almost entirely unexplained vocabulary, what was the benefit of that scene? It only needlessly made the series hard to follow, Like i feel if they do decide to explain things better later on its going to be a too little too late ordeal |
