This is the most saddest and not understandable episode.
I have not sorted out the relations Ken with Shin.

It is understandable; Shin was Ken's best friend but he was blinded by his love for Yuria. Maybe they would've fought together if things were different...but somehow I believe Yuria is still alive.

That was a pretty good fight. I like that they don't extend out a single battle for several episodes. This was a major boss fight and it was over in one episode. I was surprised at Yuria death, but she was kind of a whiner anyway.

Does anyone actually like Lynn?

That fight had to have been the best so far. I'm very glad they didn't reuse the stock footage of Ken going super saiyan for this one. I think I'll start a count of how many times they use Lynn's "KENNN!!" shout.
Also for Yuria, if you don't see the body, they aren't dead. Plus, it was Shin telling him that; you know he's just trying to mess with him.

I thought it was great when that guy tried to sneak up behind Ken while he was fighting Shin.

Good episode. Looking forward to seeing what happens next.

Nobody likes Lynn.

Yuria is pretty stupid to die like that, if she even died like that.

That was excellent. Trudging through 20 episodes of head-exploding tedium was worth it to get to this. The pathos was great and the way the fighting was purely a vehicle for the story rather than just spectacle (as it has been previously) showed this series has its priorities in the right place.

If it maintain this level of quality for a decent chunk of the rest of the series it'll become a favorite of mine.

Farewell Shin. He was a pretty great bad guy especially with that laugh of his xD Can't help but feel sorry for him even though he betrayed Ken and stole his girl. I wonder if the reason he let Ken live in the first place was due to the guilt of his betrayal and hoping that one day Ken would return to fight him.

The final of the first arc I suppose, like Episode 21 this is a 10/10 one. The fight was not just some entertaining spectacle like many others but more deep emotionally with some unexpected twists like the Yuria puppet and her presumable death. In the end we started to like Shin but he faded like Yuria with a "sayōnara". Kenshiro showed respect to his former friend by carrying him to his grave.

Two things bugged me a little in this episode: Shins personal armee was just the pale mohican style opponent, nothing special and two big "reunion" scenes with "KEN" shouting Lynn.

Too bad that Shin is (most likely?) out of the whole series now, an allied combination Kenshiro/Shin could have been some interesting option to continue the series, but lets see what comes next and if Yuria really is dead.

Wait a minute, Kenshiro is licking his own blood.. Wasn't that what happen to Shin in previous episode too?
Is it somekind of foreshadowing?

I like how in the end Ken still care about Shin after all of those things
Yuria is still missing, not dead.. I hope

Very nice, liked this even more than in the manga and it felt not so anticlimatic.

One Piece episode 914 & 915 & 1027 were a mistake and 957 brought the salvation - FMmatron

I wonder if Kenshiro would've lost to Shin had Yuria not killed herself.

She was Shin's obsession after all, so with her dead he didn't have anything to fight for. He also wouldn't have gotten a power up from rage like Ken since it was basically Shin's fault that she killed herself.

The fact that he was excited, rather than annoyed, at the news that Kenshiro was still alive was also interesting. Fighting Kenshiro still gave him one last thing to look forward to and he probably, subconsciously, wanted Ken to defeat him at that point.

The whole thing with Shin and Ken is pretty fucked, the guy betrayed his friend and attempted to murder him multiple times for his lover yet you can't help but feel somewhat bad for the him at the end. He was so obsessed with winning Yuria's heart over that he couldn't tell how miserable he was making the one he loved until it was too late. What a fool.

Where'd Shin get that Yuria doll? Just had it stored up somewhere in case she died or escaped? Sounds like he didn't love her, just lust.

This went south real quick, so Kenshiro not only lost his lover which he never saw again, besides the doll, but he actually never killed his former friend himself since he committed suicide

What a finale. Can't believe it's already over, I thought for sure Shin was going to get away again or some new stronger opponent would appear, but it basically happened as you would expect. Ken winning with little to no trouble. Too bad Yuria couldn't make it.

Maybe it would've been better if they kept Lynn mute, like in the beginning of the series.

KEEEEEEEEN!!!!

I watched this episode for the first time six months ago and haven't been able to stop thinking about it since then.

Among the hundreds of animes I've seen, this episode stands in a league of its own.

RIP Shin.

Ngl I had a change of heart towards Shin around these last episodes. He died a very miserable death knowing he could not make Yuria love him. Very sad episode

Finally, the long-awaited Kenshiro vs Shin is here.

I'm glad that compared to the previous episodes this felt had unique fight animations. So glad they didn't reuse the same old shit.

Well, I kind of expected that something like this would happen. I already played Lost Paradise which started with the events of this episode but I wasn't sure how much the game followed the actual story of the manga/anime.

Without Yuria or Shin, I wonder how the story is going to progress. I initially thought Shin was going to be the final boss of Hokuto no Ken. But I was wrong.

I loved the fact that Kenshio and Shin were voiced by Mendo and Ataru's original voice actors. I'm going to miss that dynamic now.

Shit got real now... I already know that Yuria would die but I thought that would happen in like the last episode or something, same thing with Shin, that I also thought that he would be like the final boss. Anyways, Ken's fight with Shin is the best fight so far, I liked that it didn't used the same Kenshiro's attacks animations and that stuff, so I hope the next fights are as good as that one.
