| Hmm... I thought the author would carry this for a couple more years since it's episodic. I give him my praise for his decision, nowadays there aren't a lot of authors in Jump who end their mangas out of their own volition. If the anime doesn't have a second season (which unfortunately seems to be the most likely case) I'll read through the whole thing when the scanlations end. Meanwhile I'll be looking forward to future works by him. |
| I find the manga to be much better and funnier than the anime. o_o Haven't read it in a while. I think I'll re-read it when it finishes. :) Looking forward to his next work. |

| @JustALEX: Plus Eden no Ori, Nozoki Ana, Medaka Box, Kaibutso Oujo, Binbougami ga!, Tasogare Otome x Amnesia and maybe Rosario + Vampire Season II this year too unless we get Season III. Some of them ended before summer, so I would say that 2013 in general has been a killer for many long running manga. |

| The fact that Sket Dance is an episodic series means that for it to end, it must have had consecutively poor rankings. I thought Sket Dance was pretty high in the rankings, although I haven't seen the rankings lately, nor have I read the latest chapters (since they're not translated yet). Can somebody update me on this? |

It's just that they were already third years, so it was bound to end after/around graduation. Sket Dance was stuck on the fall of their second year for a while (and was potentially endless), but then Shinohara decided to let the time flow again with the School Trip Arc (he says it on the free talk in volume 15), so it was obvious it would have ended after graduation. |
