Not an August fan, but I was expecting an Aiyoku no Eustia anime instead. Also, I heard it is better.

Another adult game getting an anime adaption. Always good to read that.

Would you really want Eustia to suffer from the likes of an adaptation? Daitoshokan is a much more fitting choice as it is a moege, anyway.

Daitoshokan no Hitsujikai is an adult game that got a lot of talks even before its release, so it should get an anime adaptation. In fact I have been wondering when it will get one for some time.

So MAL finally starts locking news threads that are only a few weeks old?

I wonder where was the announcement of this change? Or we are seeing yet another case of changes made that impacted users but not communicated to them?

I wonder how long people would put up with this.

As much as I have a bunch of information to share about anime announced recently I cannot share it in news board, and the anime series is too disorganized and chaotic to share information except with people already interested in the particular series.

Suffer? What do you mean? Adaptation is a way to push sales, even in case it does not do full justice to the game itself. I would agree that Eustia may be harder to be adapted. although I won't be surprised if it ever gets adapted.

I think Eustia is way to complex to make an adaption out of it. I would love to see it but I can't realistically think it will happen.. Although still waiting for the english translation to be finished ^^

I can't really see how they will do it though, since the arcs is so different and the true route is really different from the rest :o

I really like VN adaptations, since you know there'll be a definite conclusion. However, it won't always be good since some studios like fucking things up.

What makes you think Deen will adapt this anime?

So far adaptations of August's VN were all done by different studio:
WaniWani by Radix
Yoake Yori Mae by Daume
Fortune Arterial by Zexcs and Feel

I won't say Deen will not adapt this VN but I am curious why someone thinks it is more likely that Deen will adapt this VN.

Never was much a fan of adult PC game adaption, they always fall short for me - and this looks pretty generic to be honest. So instead of watching it and potentially disliking it, I'll rather not watch it.

With brothels and prostitutes etc, what in Eustia would be a very difficult sell for an anime.

Seriously, do you know how bad of an idea it is if Rewrite gets an anime adaptation only to see it getting butchered by its producers (maybe only Key would be able to make it good) LOL. Also I have to be grateful they didn't decide to animate Aiyoku no Eustia.

Chances are it would be a Hentai OVA like Hime-sama Gentei, no way in hell that could air on TV.

At least it won't be as difficult to adapt as Grisaia. A simple moege should work out nicely as an anime.

As better as Eustia is, Daitoshokan would be easier to adapt into an anime, considering it's more of a generic storyline without as much risque material in it. Sad. D:

No way an anime adaptation of Eustia will get pass censors without drastically changing the contents. And if it is changed, it will just piss off the fans and make it a difficult sell.

I don't actually think so. Is just a reference to a studio that could potentially fuck up any VN.

@symbv

Why so pessimistic?

1. There are some dark fantasy animes and they are not so heavily changed
2. And talking about plot. It has one linear true end while all other is just an addition branches so it's easier to adapt than VN's with equal routes

But actually pissed more because translation of the VN is almost stalled. I hope we'll get an anime at least but now this hope is broken too

I am not worried about the two things above. Let's face it, just the brothels and prostitutes are very unlikely to pass censors. That's about how restrictive anime is these days even for midnight anime. Of course they can go for OVA but it will defeat the purpose of VN adaptation - which is to help spread the knowledge of the VN and gain new fans/buyers.

As I said above, not that I'm whining that Eustia didn't get the anime but with current situation with VN's translation it leaves no chance for non-japaneese readers to take a glimpse on this really good story.

But I still think, that you are to pessimistic.

That's very quick. Wonder how good it actually is to get an adaptation in 2 months?
The problem with VNs is that they are often just not suitable for an adaptation. I'd like to see an anime for Sumaga but with rape sex and suicide being central themes in the story it seems highly unlikely... which sucks since lots of the good VNs usually have slightly inappropiate themes (for TV).
