| I found the episode the way it showed Asagiri being quite plain but enticing in the art form and the bird’s meddling. About Asagiri, the first thing I can tell you of her is that she is the typical shy type whom I find really not the best in general as I find their difficult to make contact with and most of all to reach leading to a rather hefty amount of time to know them and even become friends/lovers with them. However it is to note that Asagiri is the type of character that looks good with glasses and her design if quite enticing. I am quite satisfied of her presentation during this series and episode. About Tamako, she was really insisting and perhaps saw how it can backfire a little with some people. I found her in the following,  Quite weird. I know it was the skin jealousy FAD but that created a little discomfort now. If I would know better she would have Yuri tendencies there. Well a little too pushed in the bath. About the fan service, I just to admit that I saw part of Tamako’s breast cock teasing short that the studio quite well known for and I am aware of. Well quite the nice show of Tamako there in that bath part for the short time it was. About the market, I am seeing that being friends with Tamako is like having the whole market treat you like a king. I mean Asagiri gets loads of goods then the teacher does. Damn makes you feel like being there and working with a family while being lodged. It’s possible and lots of places do it for a short time in terms of cultural learning and such. Those that are open. WELL COUNT ME IN! That is on a life at Mochi store with a family that houses me and me helping them around the store and so on. That’s a good dream and this episode made me realize of such a possibility. About thee end, has 2 interesting points. This proves more than anything that a medium was needed cause the shyness level was too high on her part. Despite we may never the past of Asagiri there must be something BAD to have happened for her to be like that. This is never natural less her whole family is then it’s genetic. Remains to see. The second point is how smart Tamako really is and this smartness is really key to liking her. | This is the type of slice of life theme I'm expecting from Tamako market when I first heard about it. (The bird is a surprise of course.) Nice episode. And yeah... They do look quite alike AND LOL AT DERA BEING REJECTED! EDIT: It's good that Tamako is not just dumb-dumb. She actually do try to understand others as well as noticing her overwhelming friendliness may scare people. (I'm kinda afraid of overly friendly people myself, it's just feels... Overwhelming.) |

| The more I watch this series, the more I think it is very mainstream. In fact, besides the question of how to film the bird, it would have no problem to be a warm comedy about people in a high school and a neighborhood community that is broadcast in evenings on Japan TV. It is about how people link together with some uncanny being (here it is a bird) as a catalyst. Moe level is never loud and we have a good mix of characters, male and female, old and young, just like what I often see in a life action slice-of-life comedy on Japan TV. Really a shame that only midnight time slot is available for this anime..... |

| Finally caught up on this. But... I don't really get this show. I mean, I kinda like it. Average KyoAni presentation and well-timed comedy, but... Something feels off and I can't point exactly what - or why. Maybe is something in the narrative focus. We have the bird search, the love triangle, Tamako searching for her mother's song... All of this feels like something that will be important later, but the series has a tone of a simple slice-of-life. I don't have a clue of how this will play out in 9 more episodes. Or maybe I'm just being picky. Anyway, KyoAni presentation doesn't seems too good this time. This epi was boring to watch. (except for some segments with the bird) 3/5 |

The mysteries really were well-presented, but the "real meat" in Hyouka was how the characters developed with them. Also, even with a boring beginning Hyouka had a tight focus. I don't think Tamako has the same. |

| 5/5. This is one of the few episodes that i rarely ever get, where i feel myself squealing inside. It happens so very rarely so i will give this a 5/5. Great Execution of character introduction and shiori was a very cute addition. Overall i really like where this slice of life is going. |

| i never really understood this about the fans of tamako market or chuunibyou. chuunibyou turned out okay for the first half and progressively went downhill after the tried making it a romance/depressing, and the last episode really dropped the ball. then all the fans spouted how it was the greatest thing of 2012 and a flawless masterpiece. then now with tamako market, besides episode 3 which was a little bit above average all the people in these discussions are saying 10/10, another perfect episode, so faahhnny, that bird is liek so hilarious. brilliant execution, fantastic story (lol) people dont actually believe this do they? are people really this delusional simply because its a kyoani show? and this is coming from someone who has only given 5 shows a 10/10 with 2 of them being from kyoani |

| Wow, what a sweet and funny episode! I loved watching Tamako and Asagiri's relationship improve and Dera's efforts to court her were hilarious! I did find it slightly weird why a bird would feel attracted to a human though. It made me think that Dera wasn't always a bird to begin with… I think this might be the turning-point episode which changes my opinion of this show into favourable. |

This is why Kyoani shows will forever be the biggest joke to me and hardest to get an accurate read on without watching for yourself or going by the most critical reactions/reviews because even the slightest well executed aspect of any one of their shows will instantly have people gushing about it and showering it with praise like it's a revolutionary master stroke that has turned entertainment on it's head when usually it's just a strong or really even just decent episode or arc amid mediocrity. It's one thing to have ones own tastes and find treasure where other people find trash or to just be able to relax to a show that doesn't require you to sift through densely plotted material and character interactions and I totally respect and understand that sort of reaction and sentiment cause sometimes I share it too, but somehow with Kyoanis shows people always manage to make the reactions...interesting and I have no doubt I'll be hearing about how this show is apparently an all time unequaled masterpiece and how everyone needs to follow Kyoani's model once it eventually hits a stride of some kind....possibly as early as today. I'll leave it at that. |

It's very bubbly and happy. This show is completely, to the max, light hearted and just FUN to watch. It's not worrisome, doesn't put a pit in your stomach; it's just an absolutely blast to watch. You don't have to worry about anything, really. It's just antics followed up by more antics. You could say that most Slice of Life anime are like this, like K-ON for example (since both are by KyoAni), but even then Tamako Market is still more bubbly and has a much more happy and uplifting atmosphere. Everybody in the shopping district is extremely friendly, Tamako is extremely friendly, and Dera (the bird) really adds alot to the show. I've heard alot of people not liking him, but I love him! He adds so much more and I couldn't imagine Tamako Market without him. I also love how he ends up spending the day with different characters. I've also noticed a 'slight plot' going on with Dera and where he comes from. Those projections that come from his eyes showing those people. Probably previous owners or something. I'll never understand why people think Dera is annoying. |
