THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Seems like another recap episode but a good idea for a refreshment when the series resumes again next year. There's also a lot of information again to reintroduce some of the concepts of the tanks. Panzer Vor! I can't wait for the series to resume again soon~ |

I usually don't like recap episodes but this one was nice and showing all the tanks and team members in the ED was nice too. |

Some nice explanations there especially about the rules and the tanks and some of the people they been fighting and the ones that joined them. One question remains tho why didn't they pay any attention towards the Italian school the only mentioned the leader a the P40 tank? The bad news os this episode is that it will take a while for the last few episodes to come out. Does anyone have a clue that will happen? |

Even though it was a recap, I still found it to be quite entertaining. I loved that they gave us all that information about the tanks, characters and the rules of tankery. Still sad that I won't get to see the final 2 episodes until March:( |

Ah I see... Now I know why Pravda is allowed to have 16 tanks and 20 tanks to Black Forest. We got to know why Miho let the team into the trap during the battle against Pravda. Watching this recap is very informative and worthwhile. Definitely not waste of 24 minutes of my time. |

In Post #3 Cratex wrote I just feel the need to point out, however about the idea of lengthening the gun barrel increasing muzzle velocity is a simplification. Right. You are talking about the part at 13:40 in Episode 10.5. The English translation of the Japanese words said, "Even if they both use a 75-mm cannon, the long barrel increases the round's initial velocity and thus increases its power!" I agree that this is well worth pointing out. Indeed, even many gun experts are confused about this topic, as you can easily find out by searching for online discussions. While I feel confident in my own ability to think about the problem, it took quite a lot of head scratching to figure out the implications of using a longer 75-mm barrel. When the Senshadou instructor Ami Chōno (蝶野 亜美) is standing in front of the 16- and 17-year-old girls and explaining tank ballistics, I am pretty sure that she would tell them, "Yeah, the longer gun makes the bullet go faster." Then on the final exam, there would be a multiple-choice question: On a Panzer IV Ausf. D, upgrading to the Ausf. F2 with the longer 75-mm gun barrel does what? (a) makes the tank go faster (b) makes the projectile slower (c) makes the projectile faster (d) will scare the other team (e) all of the above |

Yukari got multiple orgasms while describing tanks :D About longer barrel on pz4 and higher muzzle velocity: well penetration is important in sensha-do becouse even if the shell is not meant to go all the way to the crew compartment it still has to penetrate some armor to disable a tank. Look what happened when volleyball team couldn't penetrate matilda from behind (sounds great, I know) during Ooarai vs St Gloriana friendly. |

Look what happened when volleyball team couldn't penetrate matilda from behind (sounds great, I know) during Ooarai vs St Gloriana friendly. Here's a very simple example. I personally own a .357 magnum revolver. For practice shooting, I usually use .38 "special' ammo - it's much cheaper (and easier on the ears - even with ear protection), though the "performance" is not as "good". However, even if you could fit the .357m round in a gun designed to fire .38 special ammo (you couldn't, because the .357m round is longer), you'd risk the gun blowing up in your face because it probably won't be able to handle the stronger charge. With WWII era tank (and anti-tank) guns, the biggest gain from the longer barrel is the ability to get more spin from the increased rifling - giving the round much more spin velocity and thus making it much more accurate at longer ranges. That's the BIG difference between, for instance, a rifle and a pistol. That's not to say that a longer barrel doesn't help (as long as the breach is also made stronger), as the increased distance allows the round more time to gain more momentum from the exploding charge. But, in general, the 'longer guns' were also designed to fire more powerful ammo. Mod Edit: Merged duplicated posts; please use the edit button. |

I watch it on Crunchyroll (so I can't speak on what other subs said), and they way I read it was they're not going to air the remaining episodes but they will produce them. However, that goes against what we're been told previously. As Cratex said, the rest are supposed to air in March. Maybe Nishizumi just meant that's it for the year. |

For instance, the 75mm gun on the Panther could fire more powerful rounds than the 75mm gun on the Mk IV F2/H Yes, I know, but, it's possible that the sensha-do federation forced a standardization of ammunition, like: same caliber guns use the same shells. Maybe something about lowering costs? Hell, we've seen girls using only two types of shells - ap and blanks (for waking up Mako), not even a word about HEAT for example. So, my guess is - one caliber = one shell, only one shell type is used on battles (MPzgr - Moe Panzergranate). |

Quite entertaining, get to know the girls' fave tank and apparently hobby is quite fun. Darjeeling and Pekoe has the best taste, Brit tank is really awesome. I guess Darjeeling really likes to read british proverb... lol. And looks like Katyusha diary is canon. |

Like the previous episode, this one too, not only a more detailed presentation of the characters presented so far, and a description of the tanks for the fans, but from a slightly more correct explanation of all that has happened up to this moment of the history: analyzing the events and giving a further characterization to the characters. 7/10 |

Another excellent recap episode. Some may not like the details on tanks here, but it's good information for some people who are interested to know. I just had to laugh how they had to ignore Anzio. It's as though they're holding the best for last, or maybe not. |
