| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Chizuru's father and Rasetsu were introduced. Beginning of the experience, which most of people are against it. Some new people, including Yamazaki, were introduced as well. Annoying leader and that soon to be sick guy killed people in Kyoto?! Will they explain why they got into argument? Hijikata's personality would be shaped in what that annoying leader said next ep. (become oni)? |

| yay Yamazaki has appeared damn Yukimura and that calledd medicine the Waterof life, stupid name >.< at least Heisuke got some more lines than usual this time :D so what is Ryunosuke the guy with no resolve while drawing a sword gonna do? OMG Souji and Serizawa killed some unarmed sumo wrestles in Osaka!! the scenery in the preview looked very nice ^^ |
| Man, Koudou is reaaally annoying. Ryuunosuke shivering was so funny. It was like he drew a sword not knowing what to do after the rasetsu attacks. He's so cute Kyaaaaa! Yamazaki finally appeared! He's so sweet. I was missing him so much! When they returned from Osaka I thought something good had happened, because Souji was smiling. But ok, I enjoyed the cutting scene anyway. But now Kondou and Toshizou are like super mad at Souji. And why was Serizawa angry too? He looked like he was having fun when slashing the guys in Osaka. Excellent episode! I'm looking forward to watch the next one. |
| Yay, Yamazaki and Shimada finally made an appearance! :D The man who took Ryuunosuke's place as Serizawa's attendant for the trip was so kind. And Serizawa needs to stop smacking Ryuunosuke over every little thing. :( Since this season is a prequel, I thought there would just be some light foreshadowing of the ochimizu but it seems like it'll play an important role in future episodes. There's already a lot of tension developing and we got some nice fighting scenes this week because of it! Wow, Okita has been on a killing spree the past couple episodes... he looked so happy killing the sumo wrestlers. ^^; And he was so blunt with Ryuunosuke this episode too, the poor guy keeps getting told off by everyone haha. I hope Ryuunosuke's able to overcome his fear soon though and fight with his sword! Hijikata is growing increasingly frustrated with Serizawa each passing episode... I wonder when their disagreements will erupt into a showdown. I can't wait to see that! And it looks like we'll be getting more flashbacks next week, this time with Hijikata! :) |

| Aw man...I thought Ibuki would finally go all "I CAN USE A SWORD AFTER ALL!" but Hijikata jumped in so the mystery continues on whether Ibuki has any real sword skills or not...or if he's just carrying the thing for show.... xp (though taking his sword out of the sheath and knowing how to hold it in some sort of stance shows some progress!) Man....I'd be pissed at Okita right now too if it wasn't for the fact we know what happens to Okita later.... Looking forward to more eps~<3 |

| Ha, anime has certainly made me appreciate when people pick up their severed hands and make use of them again. And Ryuunosuke really does play the role Chizuru vacated so well, complete with being rescued in the nick of time. >.>; But unlike her I assume he'll be in fighting shape eventually. I cheered for Sannan squeezing Niimi out so easily. xD And Serizawa continues to be a great influence, eh? |

I find it funny that when Ibuki has the same role as Chizuru everyone is like "aww he is so cute and adorable" which I think he is too, but when Chizuru is on screen "OMG she is so useless" "OMG she holds a sword yet she dosen't use it" "OMG all she does is hold the guys back" "OMG stop getting rescued bitch". I love both Chizuru and Ibuki, but the fujoshi following and well 90% of the fanbase from this series really piss me off with their praising of Ibuki and ridiculous bashing of Chizuru. Souji's slasher smile. <3 |

| Huh, I've thought there's nothing supernatural-related in this anime, but it seems like I was wrong. That's great! GChan said: Wow. Souji's on a roll....and Serizawa is soooooooooooooooooo ready to trololol the living sh*t out of everyone the first chance he gets. |

| Oh god, Heisuke was so friggin cute when Hijikata assigned him his task >v< And as for Souji, then wow~ This is definitely a different side of him that was more subtle in the first two seasons. However, Souji's relationship with Hijikata and Kondo has always been delicately beautiful and tragic, and I think if I ever rewatch Hekketsuroku after finishing this season, Souji's death would be all the more painful~ Though I must admit, the insane smiles on Serizawa and Okita's faces when they cut down the sumo wrestlers were quite... um... badass but unnerving at the same time~ |
