Ao understood why everyone protected him, and going to do that plan himself. He defeated that secret. |

| Loved this episode; it delivered on the action, and gave some tantalizing build-up -- that something vast and dark is going on here. Also, Truth is looking to be an interesting antagonist; I'm guessing he's some sort of meta-human or corrupted coralian born from the scub, whom probably has memories or connections to the original dimension, and likely sees Ao and/or the Nirvash as some sort of key to getting what he wants (perhaps returning to said dimension?). He also says at the sight of a scub-burst: "Welcome to this mistaken world." -- maybe the Coralians had something else in mind when moving to another dimension? So many possibilities... |

 First half was confusing at first but once ]Truth was introduced, who looked pretty cool there in true form I appreciated it. Stunning visuals and strategy this episode, Ao continues to show that he means business. I like it. But the second best character in the show there, cant wait for more. |

| Given that E7 Ao succeeds with world building, but fails to emotionally connect us with a character, Truth might be the answer to making this series better. I, for one, am understanding of Ao's situation, but Ao isn't the reason I watch this show. Truth, on the other hand, has the capability to be a charismatic (for good, evil or in between) character that would draw me to this show week after week. After all, he single-handily engineered the drug raid situation and annihilated the boss behind it. Wow! It certainly helps to shape shift, but one needs much more than that to pull this all off. I can already imagine Lelouch comparisons (albeit a bit more risque). |

| I dunno about you guys, but I'm having a hard time connecting with ANY character. I feel there's too much plain mecha action, and not enough bonding with the characters (remember the "mission of utmost importance" prank pulled on Renton around the start of ES? That's the kind of stuff I want to see here). Truth looks like an epic antagonist, and his/her(? xD) backstory was pretty nice. Hope Truth will give me something to look forward to next week. |

| Man, I am seriously disliking the music in this series so far. This is going to be labeled as a poorly written spin-off from the original E7... unfortunately. I don't know who is doing the musical direction but it is disappointing. Animation is meh. Action is your average 'shounen' and plot is lackluster. Nice ass-pull by the scriptwriters there with 'Truth'. As in saying: 'Oh hello, I am a highly powerful imaginary character that can blow shit up. But when I'm bored, all I do is fly around and not do ANYTHING to help people out, and then crash land and dream of an all-too-common flashback.' I now feel saddened. Deeply saddened. Its like when I watched Chaos:Head because it was the "prequel" to Steins:Gate. lol.. total crud. |

| I liked this episode alot crazy start following into the Death of Bear-chief can't really say i'm sad to see him go but i expected people to die just not so soon he seemed like a nice guy :C,and we get to see Truth who seems to be the first real antagonist of the series so far hopefully he plots a IFO of his own so we him and ao to fight. |

| He does feel a little out of place. Still cool, though. Another good episode. For a while there, I was worried that Eureka Seven AO would disappoint me just like the new Last Exile did. So far, it's been showing a lot of potential. I didn't expect to be so moved by Bruno's death, seeing that we barely know the guy. The ending scene, and his "Never let children die" message got to me. For all his tactical knowledge, he's well aware that these are just kids fighting a war. On that note, I'm glad the team managed to stay alive. We can't kill off Rin, after all. Her voice is just too cute. =P |

And how the hell does Truth seem like an ass-pull to you? Do you really understand what that phrase means? Regarding the plot, thus far, I think it has shown great promise, foreshadowing and hinting about many things to come; everything here seems deliberate. Ultimately, however, it's just too early to make a concrete statement about the plot, as the series hasn't gotten near to reaching its conclusion. Also, they're all "imaginary characters". |

Her voice is just too cute. =P I agree, this scene was much-needed to me, acknowledging that these are just *children* piloting these machines. I also liked his report, showing his disdain for Gen Bleu's handling of Ao and the Nirvash's situation, as it's small stuff like this that adds in a lot of believability to me, and think it's one of the reasons this show has won me over so quickly. That being said, there's still a lot of room for this series to fail, as there is a lot of potential here that could go to waste; my faith has been continually rewarded, however, so I'm becoming less worried about this potential problem. |

| Sooo....are there any similarities with this secret to any object/event pertaining to Eureka's or Renton's past? I wanna know if the secrets are directly related to them. :s This episode felt hella rushed and everywhere for me. Truth seems out of place, but I hope he's gonna be developed into a very nice antagonist (or maybe even protagonist in the future), that's more than just your typical super strong boss. 3.5/5 |

The soundtrack so far is brilliant, sure it has a different tone from the first but it's supposed to. Do I also need to mention it is composed by Nakamura Koji? He was the lead man of Supercar who did Storywriter, which became the most synonymous song of the original series..... He also did the theme song of the movie under his solo name 'ILL' and is now in the band Lama. You are essentially criticising a guy who has played a big part in the soundtracks of Eureka Seven's music.... |

| Any technology sufficiently advanced is indistinguishable from magic (an approximation of Arthur C. Clarke). E7 spoiler follows: Just from what we've been shown so far we can guess that Truth doesn't come from around here (shape shifting, mysterious weapons and abilities, cryptic comments about not knowing his/her/their identity), but it is less clear just what sort of game they are playing. From what I could tell, they foiled the night raid on the poppy farm by shooting down and taking over the allied vehicle (which was possibly the one that appeared to help against the secret), destabilized a country in the day scene where they took out the President and bodyguards after fiddling with the money supply, and then took over another government mecha. And in the last scene began a frontal assault on Gen Bleu's base (after saving their bacon in the fight against the secret). Oh yes, and they also recognize the Nirvash when they see it flying. It strikes me that there is a complex plot underlying this series (like the original) and we haven't got to see the half of it yet. Is it possible that 26 episodes will only be the first half of the story and we may get another Eureka 7? But I will agree that we need to see a little more backstory for the secondary characters, and also get some romance started. |

The Coralians have left earth correct, but wtf is with the Secrets and Scub Corals? They have to explain this soon. |

For the millionth time, this isn't the same Earth -- THIS Earth is the one that the migrant Coralians are likely flocking to. In this dimension, it is year 2025 Earth, and the one Eureka "fell" into (subsequently being pregnant with Ao). I hope this makes more sense to you. |

What, we're not allowed to speculate in the topic created specifically for episode discussion and, subsequently, SPECULATION? What's the fun in discussing a new show if we can't formulate our own theories as to what's happening? I can't speak for everyone, but I'm not stating such a theory as concrete fact, I'm just not going to spout "in my opinion" before every such statement. Now, if there were considerable evidence contrary to this theory, or that it wasn't seemingly accepted by the majority of those speculating, it would be called for; though this doesn't appear to be the case, and it just seems blaringly obvious. I could go on forever to support this theory, but Truth himself pretty much sealed the deal with the statement: "Welcome to this mistaken world.", upon viewing the arrival of new scub. I'll concede, that in the end, I could be completely wrong, and that some other order of trippy business is going on here. Rationalize to me then, however, what else could possibly be going on? Simple time-travel and a standard chronological sequel just doesn't make sense with the information revealed thus far. I'm also just gonna go off on a limb and say that it isn't the Matrix, and probably not just "It was a dream all along". |

| This episode is interesting... And didn't Norb have some sort of interesting powers too? (If I recall correctly...) Maybe Truth is in a similar situation? Also... Is it just me that thinks that this anime is taking place in the past before the Sub Coral took over the Earth, and before human kind was forced into space? (Due the fact that they are still using our time's countries to issue affiliation, as well as their familiarity with the ocean...) If this is the case, I am confused why "Eureka" is being mentioned... Anyone else feeling this? Or is it really just me? :P |
