I liked how Madoka didn't wait around and went right after Vilaguio. Seems like Moid might have his own plans the way he persuaded Muginami to get into the fight. I was hoping that Muginami wouldn't protect Vilaguio but it did lead to a nice little confrontation between Madoka and Muginami which led to the Rinne blossoming (whatever that means).

What happened with Madoka's Vox? It suddenly bloomed thorns (or a flower or whatever it is.) and all of them were knocked out?

Lol, i like the mix of seriousness and silly in the show.

Madoka is like a sledgehammer when she's pissed off. It's cute seeing her single-minded persona in action. It was hilarious when she's arguing with the commander. Chain of command be damned. Get out of Madoka's way. she's pissed off.

I loved how everyone was getting hyped off energy drinks. Poor Lan. She was ODing on Redbull or whatever that stuff was.

lol at blue haired melodrama guy. He should go into theater acting. I'm starting to get amused by the enemy sidekicks. Which will be sad cause I get the feeling they're going to get killed sooner or later.

I loved the calm before the storm which then intro`d into a nice battle sequence. The music adds to the atmosphere. really cool fight with Madoka rocking the sword owning the drones.

I knew Lord Whathisface was playing Mugiboobies to induce something. Though I'm wondering if he was actually going to kill her when he fired the cannon. Lan saving the day will make us have to wait to find out.

I still don't know what the Rinne blossoms actually do. It seems like things go back to normal after that in the previews. So what was the point? I guess we'll have to wait to find out, BLEH!

oh btw, does anyone else get somewhat turned on when the girls are hunched over straddling their seat with their ass in the air? or is it just me? It looks rather sexual for something that's supposed to be just a cockpit.

Madoka's awakening of the power of Rinne reminds me of the GN stuff Setuna used in Gundam 00, especially what Quan[T] did with a dash of the Trial System's effect. Madoka got a nice sword and Lan got a laser rifle to beat the drones. The only exception is that she uses the power when she's pissed and not with a clear mind like Setsuna. So Vila wasn't evil at first but he's still a jerk and Mugi doesn't deserve to defend him like that.

I think his intention was to kill. Obviously the Vox work on an emotional level - both Lan and Madoka had to overcome emotions to allow them to use the Vox effectively. Lord Villa seemed to know this and his every action was calculated to invoke strong emotions from the girls. It seems, at a fundamental level, that the raw power of the Vox is not rational. I suspect that will become increasingly important as the series continues. It may be that what Madoka's mother and cousin fear is that Madoka will lose the ability to act rationally.

Just as obviously, that alien adviser (forget his name) seems to realize this also.

What does Lord Villa hope to gain from this? We'll have to find out.

A rain of light giving flower petals i wonder what that means and way it is supposed to do.
The moment Madoka got angry things got very vague and what exactly happened is a bit of a mystery.
All i noticed is that all the Voxes dropped down.

Madoka was pretty hot headed this episode i wonder if she calmed down in the end.
The energy drink part was funny tho i have to say that drinking to much energy drink is bad for you.

Somehow, the alien advisor seems fishy. I can't help but to think that he is one of the driving forces behind the conflict...though I still dunno what the nature of the conflict is (I mean, we've only seen 4 enemy pilots so far and that's pretty far away from a real war)

Loved Mugiami's words at the end. Impulsive actions can be inconsiderate towards others even if there are good intentions behind them.

Great episode this week. As seen from Lan's reaction drinking too many energy drinks is not good for your well-being.

I liked that Muginami expessed her more critical opinion of Madoka's attitude. No matter how likeable Madoka is it can't be denied that she is too hot-headed for her own sake and that her stubbornness is in danger of hampering communication between both sides.

Hands down EPIC OVER 9000 for best episode so far in regards to SFX, drama, emotions, action and especially the BGM. I saw Muginami's entrance over 4 times and I am not done yet. She got me emotional, she is great far more in this episode, she has great breasts and body in that suit. She Synchro Voxed in one shot! What more to want? Nothing, really. I like her much more than ever. May edit later.

BTW Some GIFs have been done in the club:

No you got it wrong. Mawaru Penguin Drum's Sanetoshi is back! Look in the spoiler
Villagiulio has already a apple flashing towards the earth but you follow the bottom shots, it amounts to that he had long ago with Muginami. He also gives her the apple. Looks to like Sanetoshi is back for revenge on Earth. WTF? I know it all has nothing to do with the series you can't deny the notions of Mawaru in regards to the apple though.

BTW End art in the spoiler
is kick ass! Best Muginami art. She hot in that dress and so do the rest of the characters in there.

Madoka the simpleton strikes back! :D no angst, no worries just jumping into action and make some plan on a way
and it's great :)

but yeah Muginami could go to some better life now... last time I felt a bit sorry for her but now it was too much (but still she is a good character)
still it seems that those "bad guys" are not so bad really - to make huge robot to blossom? overall it seems to fit that light theme of show, so why not :D
It also seems that starting the blooming was aim of them. Like to clean emotions of Madoka (it started when she got mad and grew stronger as she was more angry) something nice I think - stoping the prophecy?

and last - visuals, especially in the bomb part, oh that was great!
I can't wait till next episode :) nice to see some mysteries appearing here and that they are decent ones
and that Earth is force to be reckoned with

Nah, I don't agree. It kinda kills the mood for me sometimes. Especially with it trying to have this serious legend behind it with that blue, green and orange story.
It was nice to see Madoka pissed, because I must say her always cheerful character was also a bit annoying when the story wants to be quite serious. Still, enjoyable episode :D

I think there is one thing about Muginami that everyone loved and it's the following,

FIREBOMBER! I call it! That fire trail in that part burned and killed the enemy. That is epic really! Moreover her takeoff made me hyper. It was totally excited. Gosh, I repeated it like 5 times. The BGM really played an amazing role there. Anyway rest I put in the club due to their size.

Oh yes Madoka, she's so MARU~ I just love how she always acts of such simple reasons and always does the right thing.
Ran wasn't too woof this episode though, she didn't get to do anything except for grabbing Midori when it blossomed. I wonder if her grabbing it actually changed anything though.
So i want some expaination about just what was that next episode. Is Kiss' goal making all Vox blossom by making the pilots manifest strong feeling like that? Would that lead to some catashtrophe?
Anyway, great episode again, I enjoy every minute of this show.

Also funny thing with the assistant of Madoka's sis sipping on his noodles. I was like *sip* and the next second he's like *siiip* too.

That's right, Muginami. Put Madoka in her place. It's a damn shame though. We have a very interesting backdrop for a war going on, and instead we're treated to teenage girl angst and crushes, with Madoka being the biggest perpetrator here.

Wow, that was one hell of a ride! Whatever happened in the end, it looks important and beautiful ^^

I'm also glad that they still keep up the comedy-portion - I'd hate to see it turn into a depressing angst-fest like many other mecha-anime.

Muginami even managed to get me to like her again for a few seconds, until she started defending the guy who treated her like crap and just tried to kill her (at the very least it was supposed to look like it for the three girls). It's certainly and sadly truth in television, but it pissed me off just like it did Madoka. Speaking of Madoka, I love seeing an anime girl calling such crap out for what it is and raging - happens rarely enough.

This might be the most colorful mecha show ive ever seen..... Anyways I like the comedy now because I think later on in the series (counting the confirmed second season as part of the series) is when shit is gonna hit the fan.

So to all those saying they dont like the comedy, just wait. They've got a whole nother season to turn the show serious. At least thats how I see it. Comedy and fun now, seriousness, epicness, and war later.

I really don't see how this made the rating go down at all, but maybe I should just focus less on that, and more on expressing what I thought about the episode.

Its kind-of amazing how many effects they use in this show! The clouds parting to let the ships through. The reflections in the water as the ship boosts and takes off..

It's a feast for the eyes, I really like it!

I can't believe Muginami didn't help Madoka and Lan, and instead went against them - while I didn't expect her to just join them, I didn't expect her to go against them once again so forcefully after being thrown away like that.

I love this show, I can't wait to find out what is happening with that "blooming" business, it doesn't sound like good news, and now I don't know who is a good guy, Moid, or Vallagulio?

I love this anime so much ^^. Need my weekly dose of "Wan".

The animation for this is ridiculously good o_o and these are broadcast rips. Amazing visuals.

It just all really works well together. The comedy, the characters, the plots coming into play now. And it still remains alot of fun to watch. Haven't ever had this much fun watching a mecha before.

I like Moid :( hope he doesen't turn out to be evil. Looks like we'll see Muginami's past the next episode.

I am more into the fad of how the breasts and asses along with the body contours show that sexiness with the tightness of the suit. It's been done before but it always has a appeal form.

It seemed he, jubijubi tried to kill Muginami to make Madoka irate and invoke Green Vox's sealed power. Flower of Lagrange.
If it's true, I think he's now just a bastard who will not hesitate to do anything in order to carry out his purpose.

Because she blames herself, not him.

It's frustrating as hell, but it is a real world thing. Some women, and more rarely men, will stay in an abusive (sometimes life threatening, sadly eventually fatal) relationship because they blame themselves when their partner beats them up.

Just from profesional experience. And a bit on off-topic: both man and women in quite similar propotions (or maybe it's just here, but I don;t think so). Plus there is more than just blame - they stay because of some twisted feeling of benefits from those relations. Thats why it's hard to end them, and simply saying "Leave him" makes no impact.

But here is also, I think, that she doesn't understand why he did it. So there is conflict - between her carying for him and his actions. But she should find her way to deal with it.

I think they even showed that last episode, when she was bragging about how much better off she is just blindly following that guy's orders while she pitied everyone else for using their own brains. While that sickened me so much I didn't want to write about it back then, I guess it partially explained her recent actions.

If she's so convinced of Villagiulio's infallibility, it makes sense that she doesn't abandon that belief within a day. It's still nauseating, but it adds a motive I can somewhat comprehend.

It's not about that at all. If you look at the preview it implies highly that Muginami got her life saved instead of being abandoned to become like Sheryl around the streets to live off. Grabbing left over foods and who knows what illnesses due to malnutrition. It clearly also shows that wherever Muginami was it got destroyed.

So like let's do get it right. Guy saves her life and if he did she would not be in this world so.... do think Muginami will not do all to be with him if he does die. In fact I think Muginami wanted to repay him for saving her. Well clearly that is the impression I get from the PV.

Ok am starting to get troubled by how little gets explained here and how little questions people ask.
Madoca never seems to ask for details on why the hell she's doing exactly and who are this bad guys or there exact goals.
And the viewers know even less than the characters. What is this organization with the alien aircraft? Why are they so obedient to that suspiciously looking Alien guy?
Also many characters seem to know what the hell is this myth or whatever with those robots but we get nothing.
