THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- OK I am not happy. Despite the high adrenaline of the episode. Despite the fight and amazing action. Despite all the flashbacks and struggles. Tsubasa used a swan song at the end and dies. Precisely is in the between life and death world. WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT? What? What? T_T No, just no. She was bitchy and all but no. Not this not now. Not of what is in the spoiler About Tsubasa’s fight, she started out pretty good with a nice pose here and a very nice face in anger. Mainly because she wanted Nehushtan to have come and help. Loved the blade slice in the spoiler So by the time she used that song the damage and her bleeding in the spoiler I did like Hibiki at least she gave out some light. In the ED I like her with Genjurou in the following spoiler About Tsubasa’s life and death situation, getting simple I think Kanade will save her based on the following, As it is based on the following spoiler You can also see it as Tsubasa going to hell by sinking down and Kanade saving her from it as if Tsubasa was rejected from heavens. There are many interpretations. One thing it’s nicely shown. Thus I conclude that Kanade will give vitality to replenish the life of Tsubasa and able her to wake up as well as recover. About Kanade’s past and the theory of relics/soul fusion. A fascinating ideal came to me. At first I did find Kanade way more wild in the spoiler Assessment of Kanade’s pain ordeal. IMO Kanade pain in the spoiler Theorization of relics and soul fusion. Kanade officially dies as herself in the spoiler So this proves my 2 theories of stuff. I still loved the parts of Kanade and Tsubasa in the spoiler About Nehushtan, she sick kick ass in the following, I made a GIF of that in the spoiler GIF Big Size GIF Off references and strange allusions, for one if you look in the spoiler Hibiki and those Noise in the spoiler There is also a Hebrew VS Norse thing going on based on the spoiler About thee end, there 2 things. For one Hibiki x Miku laughing and holding hands in the spoiler The training of Hibiki by Genjurou in the spoiler Why would you do this to Tsubasa? Shit man sad shit in episode. I wish it would have ended different. Was there really no choice? How is everyone going to take this? Kanade and now Tsubasa. Who is next other than Hibiki? Miku should be a Symphogear. Now there is no choice but to make her one. BTW Image Stitches done in the spoiler |

Tsubasa was reckless and annoying, she deserved her fate. Now give me what I predicted and happened earlier than expected and get Miku to be a Symphogear. |

Hoppy said: I suppose speaking in an evil tone, Tsubasa wanted to die to be with Kanade, she was being like this because she could not live in this world without Kanade. This was shown as Tsubasa totally rejecting Hibiki. Tsubasa was reckless and annoying, she deserved her fate. Now Miu should be a Symphogear due to being in Sympho with Hibiki. I have a feeling that the suits have some sort of power that is over 9000 provided both persons are in Sympho. Now what better way is there? Of course love and not just any, those of lovers. Well in the case of Miku/Hibiki yuri but anyway I think there is something like that. |

I like how Hibiki is finally understanding how stupidly retarded she's been. It was nice for her to finally admit and cry about what we've all knew since she started. However, it was awkward having to listen to her self loathsome blubbering most of the episode. Also, she's still rather underwhelming as a main protagonist. I really can't get behind her character at all. Her hairstyle is god awful too. Tsubasa almost fulfilled her death wish. It'll be interesting if she does come out of her current condition alive. Though if she sang her "swan song" I'm not sure she'll be able to be a sympho-girl anymore. Maybe she'll survive and reconcile with Hibiki and mentor her and Miku, or whomever they choose as a pairing. The series does seem to be getting better overall. Though I still feel like it's far from being high quality series. Given the fact the song singles are blowing up in Japan, I have a feeling the series is being received much better than it is internationally. |

LOLS at Bruce Lee and Akuma references in the ED. Decent Episode. The show is on a good path. I would like to be optimistic and believe Miku is gonna get symphogear somehow, but that would most likely mean that Tsubasa dies or is incapacitated for few EP's. Think about what it would tke for Miku to get symphogear. Tsubasa said it was an accident in her case. Kanade is currently thee only know case in thw world where she was pretty much born for it. Hibiki got due to an insane twist of fate and the Lord only knows how the Nehushtan got that suped up version. I would just love to see how They manifest it in Miku. I think realistically and realistically speaking Tsubasa will live. Its too early to tell IMO if Miku will be involved any further than just knowing Hibiki's secret. Which will find out without fail IMO. Will Hibiki tell her, will she find out by total accident, or will Miku's curiosity get the better of her and she goes into detective mode. It would be cool if Hibiki is forced to save her from the noise. *fingers crossed for that one* Also does anyone remember Miku knelling and crying at Hibiki's grave in the first episode? I am wondering if that was explained and I missed it. Otherwise I am inclined to believe Hibiki will die (most likely by swan song) in either the 12th or 13th episodes. |

Good episode, good to know more about Kanade and Tsubasa past. Is nice that Tsubasa didnt die (it will have suck) even that she had being a bitch last episodes and being reckless as hell, she is needed in this series until the end also.... Orix said: that face!!! Hibiki finally realize what useless she has been and what she need to do...begin to train with Genjuruo "Akuma" Kazanari!! No really i loved the reference at the end made laugh. Yumekichi11 said: it totally proves that she will be saved. The deduction is simple. Tsubasa went to the sky towards heavens and is no allowed. Thus she is falling back down towards earth while Kanade is shown in the pic above. This combined with the water part from means that she brought back to life. Water constitute 80% of our body and means life. If you sink someone back into water it can mean either killing them or giving them back life. Depends how you see it but water was always seen as life or a source of it. You can also see it as Tsubasa going to hell by sinking down and Kanade saving her from it as if Tsubasa was rejected from heavens. There are many interpretations. One thing it’s nicely shown. Thus I conclude that Kanade will give vitality to replenish the life of Tsubasa and able her to wake up as well as recover. Mmm i agree most of your deduction of the symbolism specially the Water part that was pretty nice indeed. Also....Kanade face is full of sadness i think she is very sad of how Tsubasa took her dead and how she is being living now...only a weapon and no the person she loves :( Yumekichi11 said: Theorization of relics and soul fusion. Thus explains the she got her soul fused with the relic and revived as something else in the spoiler A Symphogear. Thus my conclusion is that you need to die first before you become a Symphogear because the same happened to Hibiki. She dies first then was protected by Kanade and revived later. Same ordeal as Kanade. I think she didn't really die she just was at border of dead as Hibiki was when she took a shard to the chest,I think the relic reacted to her determination to do what ever to get power so it merged to her maybe accepting her.Well that is my theory we must also see how Tsubasa got her relic that will tell many things. Yumekichi11 said: Hibiki and those Noise in the spoiler I can already see some doujins made from this scene......:) Well let see when Miku Miku get her Symphogear and when Tsubasa recovers! |

Symphogear is so, so silly. Everything is so contrived and ridiculous, and this episode was no exception. All that angst about being a human blade, MC being useless and then finding motivation through her friend, and the laughable training montage. It's like they took an anime of 26 episodes and dropped it into a blender and pounded it back together into 13 episodes. Nevertheless, following it to see where it goes. It's an amusing show if you turn off your brain and just go for the ride. |

Nice episode. I liked the first half, but the second half made my brain turn off. =_= I honestly didn't expect Kanade to have had such a different personality when she was younger. 4/5 I seriously went ( º0º ) when I saw Tsubasa's bleeding face. Finally this show is getting back on track. :D Oh yeah, plz PLZ someone give the MC a wig, or a haircut. Her hair pisses me off DX. The dialogue in throughout the ep was super cliched and retarded too lol. |

Am I the only one who thinks Nehushtan IS Miku? Miku seems a bit on the Yandere side to me since the beginning. And now, Nehustan wants to capture Hibiki on the night Miku and Hibiki was supposed to see a meteor shower together. Could be wrong though. But I don't really care for them I just want Tsubasa back.... T^T |

Conan Kanade sure risk her life just to synchronize with the relic .It is weird that Hibiki can get his relic so easily.Even thou its just a a small piece of fragment in her chest ... Well, I don't think relic does maintain in full after a long time but the Nehushtan seems to be in complete form but calling noise from it is kinda cheat =p Hibiki get bukkake ...hope he can get some action next week. |

I'm... completely lost in what's going on in this anime. Can someone explain it to me? Kanade and Miku are my favorite characters of this series. The beginning of this episode just solidified my liking for Kanade, she's an awesome character if if she's dead. I feel sorry for Miku for having to be left out, she obviously care for Hibiki, but is still willing to give her space when asked. I wanna see what the anime does with Miku's character because I feel they're leading up to a bigger role for her. |

That sooo fits the situation Hibiki is in at the moment. Her reaction when she peeps at Hibiki's training is suspicious as well.. I mean, she is not shocked or anything? It's almost as if Miku is expecting Hibiki to do that.. But that is just my 2 coins.. :) |

Tsubasa was stubborn and tried to make herself into just a weapon. With that she did what she had to. I can respect that though. It would of been better to see some teamwork and it's crazy, I didn't think we would hear her swan song so early on. Though I think they are going to let her recover, and maybe now her and Hibiki can finally get some teamwork going. I honestly hope Miku isn't involved in any of it, but rather just being supportive of her friend. I think that would be cheesy if they ended up putting them against each other. So I don't really like that theory of her being the enemy. Plus the other twos hair didn't change, so I doubt the purple haired girl is Miku. |

I would have liked this anime even better if they kinda eased up with early drama and gave us more character introductions, explanations about Noise and overly slow down. The show, lacks something for me to say that it's sad and that I'll care for what happens to all the characters, especially after episode one. If they all died by the next episode I wouldn't be surprised. |

Dying characters in a mahou shoujo... I've seen the somewhere before... From what I remember that series invested in the characters before killing them off so that viewers actually cared when they died... So we have orange hair girl's insert song and now the blue hard girl's insert song will now release. I'm assuming this since all the music does to this anime is make you laugh at it instead of adding to the experience. LittleDemon said: I'm... completely lost in what's going on in this anime. Hell no, I was going to drop this before episode 4. It definitely felt much more real and finally started making Hibiki a likable character, all thanks to some pretty heavy stuff thrown in there. The "slap in the face" was very welcome and added even more depth to Kanade and Tsubasa's relationship (yet I feel there's more to discover...). |

I like the action, the art and music, just like always. However what I didn't really appreciate is the Tsubasa sang he swan song. I was thinking when I watched it "wait! Already! Your supposed to save that for later. Do you not value your life? The swan song just lost some of it's value because not only did she use it on the fly, she survived!" I was irritated that Tsubasa devalued such a potentially good plot tool. Some other things I like was the fact Hibiki is putting in more effort to becoming stronger because honestly, it would be really bad behind if she just used her fists as her weapons but was just tremendously stronger, either her fists or if she got a big behind gun that she could whip out and take out a load of the noise that would be cool too. I liked the flashbacks and found it interesting how vicious Kanade was. I personally think the powers make you flip out because Kanade flipped, then Tsubasa, but Hibiki hasn't really been at the symphogear thing long and she doesn't have a weapon so... anyway great episode! |

Now now THAT was some great episode alright, way better than the previous one. I liked how they covered some background story on how did kanade get her symphogear. I always knew that she is reckless but i did not expect all that savage and brutal scene when she tried her best to acquire that symphogear. On the sidenote, nice fighting animation, and again great song. I dont really dig the ED song at the end but still in overall it's a pretty decent episode i have to say, I was on the verge of dropping this anime at some point but i guess it's going back into the right track. |

Even her flashback and growth arc here despite being a freaking dead character are better and way more interesting than the real story and characters and Hibiki's awful character. And now Tsubasa's ofcourse survived what they killed their best character Kanade for as a plot device/stupid troll to replace her with awful Hibiki, because she failed at it? Really? Also, let me get this straight, Genjurou (who I would have loved in the Kanade-Tsubasa show as shown again in the flashbacks) rushes over practically mid-attack last ep with his super powers to stop Tsubasa and Hibiki but doesn't do shit when Kanade is about to sing her swan song despite being in the same building. Thanks for screwing us Kanade fans writer... They could have done either to have Kanade barely survive ep 1 (which would have still made an impact with the blood and near death and Hibiki's grave) and make it through alive and have Hibiki as a support character/n00b third member she should have been and not the lead, but nooo. |
