The heck?! They killed my precious Ayaka! The death was even made as if it was nothing, just that happy ending song and preview BGM as if nothing did happen at all. Can't you just cut out that ending song and put another BGM in, J.C. Staff? No, of course not, since they are J.C. Staff they can't do that. Damn, damn, damn, for everything this episode. But I'm really curious what was inside that greenhouse. Maybe it was that or another drug and Ayaka was getting suicidal because of it. And there also goes the only love interest in the show, Alice is the only girl left that has enough screen time to suffice for that, but she is not the type that fits for that role. And again. Fuck, fuck, fuck. Why did she have to die????!!!!! |

I don't believe that being neglected by her brother or discovering he does drugs would drive her to kill herself, it just isn't right. I really hope this anime or arc will have an excellent end to make up for the death of a loving character. They become mentally unstable and start loosing reason they will do everything to get there hands on drugs again even if this means hurting the people closest to them. In the end you just don't know what there up to what there doing. As i mentioned before in this topic i know and knew a few people who used drugs and seen and heard some very disturbing things around them. To give a example one of then tried to commit suicide several went to prison several times and even attacked his own father because he would not give him any money to buy drugs with. They put allot of pressure on the people around them. Drugs ruins life's! Yumekichi11 said: Isn't Morphine a byproduct of Opium?StevennxD said: The drugs may have eased trauma, pain and the effects on the survival of the body. Opium is really close to morphine so you can survive a fall like that with an overdoes in your body but the COMA is absolute.I also hope that Ayaka didn't die but is in coma (could be like due to maybe someone forcing her to take the pills) but yeah, we just gotta' wait. :( Which is they reasons why there effects are similar. And the drugs don't have to be opium based they could be something completely else since there are other substances that cause similar effects. Opium is often used for heroin which is often powder since the drugs they where using here where pills i am thinking that the drugs they where ecstasy. Which doesn't contain opium and has different effects. Yumekichi11 said: This might indeed be possible since it looked like she was trying to keep Narumi out of the flower house.Saygram said: Nice! You think also like me. I will add to take into consideration that glass guy who helped her brother and looked dirty at Narumi. Seems he may have known Ayaka's friend already. It is logical that she bred flowers that were used to manufacture drugs. When she learned she was killed by her brother friend (dealer). There activities where mainly on the roof of the school and not in the flower house and i wonder if Narumi has over been in the flower house itself. So she was probably hiding something. As i mentioned before i was doubting that her death was suicide but now i think it was murder. Maybe the things Narumi said to her made her want to clean up the things she was hiding in the flower house which wasn't appreciated by the one who killed her. I think we're on the right track here. She must've been forced or blackmailed to keep those flowers for that dealer. I don't know if she actually knew those were used to manufacture drugs, so either she knew or she learned about it and wanted out. When the time came she decided to clean up, the dealer or maybe even her brother must have been really pissed and pushed her off the building. =( |

Just adding to the discussion: Analyzing the body as if it was a real life case, both jumping herself and getting pushed can be ruled out as the body would have fallen perpendicular to the building. Most likely, she was already dead or in a helpless state (like heavily drugged), and someone either rolled her off the edge, or even more likely, carried her and then let go right off the edge. Considering that the impact was directly on her back (head included), even if she survived, there would be a high chance of vertebral and brain damage. Of course, whoever wrote the scene could have cared nothing about physics and just went for a dramatic visualization of the fall. |

Ending confused me i had to re-watch that last bit just to understood what happened. Didn't expect anyone to die in this anime even if it is a detective anime. Ayaka wasn't one of my favorite characters didn't really like her but I didn't expect that she'd die. Due to the preview i think ayaka really is dead. Hardly any Alice in this episode, should've showed her more. |

"Losing Ayaka" could mean she died, or has a coma, or has amnesia It really could mean anything. i am really hoping that she didn't die. but i'm pretty sue she's dead by the way it was narrated. unlike some of you, i never really got into her character until this episode, and finally i start liking the character she dies. doubt it's a coma but probability is really high compared to others. you can't died jumping off a building of that standard. unless you slam your head into the ground first, in which the head would be blown open and we can see that didn't happen. three floors just isn't enough to kill someone(don't ask how i know that). and according to the scene, her body was still in one piece without any obvious twists or rips. her having amnesia is also unlikely. i'm not a major in neural medics but i'm pretty sure you need significant brain trauma (physical/mental). if she landed on her head, like mentioned before: splat. you could argue the mental stress caused amnesia so this is still likely. Coma: pretty much read above+ possible drug use. i agree the episode is trying to mislead us(people who aren't spoiling it for others). i got tricked my yumekui once so i'm pretty on guard about death of characters. most fiction are too afraid to kill characters off anywho.[especially shounen]Like i said, the possibility of death is low, but if i'm wrong, that just means real life logic doesn't apply. still, i pray that she's just hospitalized due to broken limb and/or drug use. I had to rewatch the ending about three times to make sure I processed what I just watched correctly. I also think I was in shock at watching her just bleed onto the flowers, then the feelings hit me after hearing the ending theme. I have a feeling that there is something horrible in that greenhouse since she avoided going in there quite a bit. She also prevented Narumi from going in there as well, and then she just dies? What the hell man I'm so confused! I have a feeling something happened with her brother due to make her even attempt to do this. Anime always gives me such complicated feelings... |

i remember how she mentioned when eating that icecream stuff. "i wonder if the person that made this thought so as well" or something along those lines.. that makes me assume that she made the drug by accident. when she listens in and hears her brother is messing his life up (and possibly dying) because of that, she kills herself. although, it's also possible that she was killed by a certain drug addict...i don't want to think she'd kill herself, but you never know what people are hiding inside them. she doesn't want to put the plants in the greenhouse for the same reason she doesn't want Narumi in there. guess i'll have to wait and see. |

That dead could not be from jumping from the roof when you looking in her eyes. We even got a bit back story of her, that she were sick of being on the class, she was very lonely before meeting with Narumi. I don't know what to said about this one, but I am sure Narumi will changed after her dead. Same here. I think she thought that Major was referring to her when she overheard him say why people would go to the extent of using drugs. What the fuck? I did not see that coming, all happy looks like everything's gunna be find then BAM she dead. The preview indicates that she probably did die, though it doesn't work well with the description of this series. It says it'll put her in danger, and well she is already dead and case just started so maybe she's got a chance to be alive. Though I am going with too late she dead. Wonder if it really was a suicide just because she heard her brother was involved in drugs. Reading some comments on here, I think that Ayaka planting those flowers that was used to create the drugs seems very likely. They made sure the flower was shown clearly and well we haven't seen the inside of the greenhouse yet. Oh and I found Narumi's -.- face very funny when Ayaka was doing her thing on Alice's hair. |

hellsascendant you can't died jumping off a building of that standard. unless you slam your head into the ground first, in which the head would be blown open and we can see that didn't happen. three floors just isn't enough to kill someone(don't ask how i know that). and according to the scene, her body was still in one piece without any obvious twists or rips. still, i pray that she's just hospitalized due to broken limb and/or drug use. Um, R U CRAZY? The general rule of thumb is 50% of all falls that are from three times your height are fatal. Basically, Ayaka is probably about 5 foot 5 inches, and so the 3-4 story school building (oMfG, obviously more than 6 metres tall) is definately going to kill her regardless of how she landed. The chances of her survivlal are so low that youd only see it in those cheap happy miraculous drama movies that make you cry from almost no reason. Shes already lost enough blood to kill her at the end of the episode from her head. Srry to say that she either deceased or a vegetable now on life support that will NEVER wake up. |

If its true that she was involved it could fit better then i originally thought now that ive been thinking about it more (like how she could use suicide as an escape or maybe she was actually pushed) But I'd like to beleive that she was a "good" person who suffered from an unfortunate disease of the head ( depression) and no one saved her in time, which is sad. I think this is more likely but I also think that the flowers thing and Ayaka possibly being in that Drugs gang is the kind of mystery that the prdoucers would add. We'll find out which ever is true, next episode or the one after that, most likely. |

And there goes my cheerful sunny morning, I'll be blue for the rest of the day... I'm glad she has been sidetracked for the last few episodes, it would have hit harder if I liked her more. Two more episodes to go, but after this I have no interest in the show. Will finish though. 5/5 because it did provoke a very strong emotional response out of me. |

Oh no Ayaka. That was unexpected. :/ I guess the death of Ayaka made Narumi steeled his resolve to become a good assistant to Alice. |

Cirris said: Wow, that ending left a sickly feeling in the pit of my stomach. Yeah. I have to ask why she would do such a thing just learning he was on drugs. I mean that was a shock, but really... I always liked Ayaka better than Alice, but i think the author might of killed her off since she was the only one without any role in the agency. She finally got her own arc and now this. |

Wow. Just... wow. Ayaka and Narumi was so much better than Alice and Narumi, why have they done this to me? D: MoonxArtemis said: Why would you rate it from a 10 to a 9? Yeah, its sad and all and I liked her character too, but stuff like this is what makes a show good, unpredictable, and overall interesting. I feel bad that you gave it a punishment rating, but then in my book a 10 is a bit over the top, so nevermind. XDOh and PS, I had my rating at 10, after killing Ayaka lowered it to 9.
