| Interesting method by Kaiji. Only thing I didn't quite get was their reasoning of being able to bypass the measure check of the roulette wheel if they did it in 8 hours. If the entire building is tilted to one side, wouldn't that level ruler give it away regardless? |

My take on it is that Kaiji was much more naive and "noble" in the first season than he has been in the second season. He didn't straight out suspect cheating in any of the games in the first season UNTIL [towards the late half of] E-Card and, in a sense, the Bridge due to the real solution being a hidden bridge rather than the obvious one. Kaiji is truly developing as a character over the course of this show, and it's definitely showing in the complexity of his newer schemes, the more risky gambles he's willing to take, and in the sheer depth of screwing with the greedy minds of his opponents! The Chairman and Tonegawa have no idea just how much they helped Kaiji become this monster. Maybe the Chairman does, but in my opinion, Kaiji's self-righteous battle against the Chairman is endless. The Chairman won as soon as he instilled the love for the thrill of gambling in Kaiji (even if Kaiji himself hasn't realized it yet). I love this show. I'm freaking addicted to it. |

| Once again, he countered the 3rd and final failsafe not by interfering with the machine itself but by modifying an element outside it, this time being the whole fucking building like how Ichijou said~ It's the first time I've heard of vinyl water cubes but it impressive that he managed to contain 20 tons in one room to sink the building seated on the soft earth by a few cm. That pachinko ball climb was really harrowing. |
