My top rated anime are not moe. My most anticipated anime in PTW that I'll probably rate high are not moe either. My most favorite anime are not moe aswell.
Yeah Steins;Gate is terrible. That's why it's #2 on MAL top anime list. That being said, your opinions of steins;gate are just that. Opinions. Thats what's awesome about opinions. Everyone can have their own. But when you start ridiculing people for liking a liking a show, that's when there's a problem. you also went on to declare what anime are the best. Who are you to decide that? Also, the main character is supposed to be silly. Furthermore, WTF do you mean the plot led to nowhere?! Two dudes and a chick are living an average life for about 3 episodes and then they develop a F**king time machine!!!
I will admit - Steins;Gate was INCREDIBLY difficult to watch for the first six episodes. Horribly slow, baffling and confusing, and featuring absurd characters, I could not understand how so many people could give it "10"s. But that's exactly what kept me watching - I wanted to understand this mysteriously praised anime. And I'm really glad I kept watching up to episode 7, because it's in that episode that Steins;Gate begins to take off. Not very fast, mind you, but gradually - picking up pace steadily, steadily, steadily, until it got my heart pumping and my eyes riveted. I couldn't take my attention off it. It took me two days to watch Steins; Gate - the first day, I got through the first eight episodes, but on the second day, I finished the remaining 16 episodes and the OVA in a single night.
So yeah, Steins; Gate has its problems. And it's not without plot holes. But it's an anime that does get immensely better after you give it some leeway.
Personally, as a writer, I believe that the inability to find something good within fiction is just as bad as the ability to find something bad.
Casshern Sins seems interesting - I looked it up after you recommended it, and while I'm not happy about the use of amnesia as a plot device (it's kind of a cop-out in terms of writing fiction), I might have to forgive and forget (as I did with Steins;Gate, haha) and give it a shot regardless. :) Thank you for the recommendation!
I'm actually still watching it, since not all the episodes are released, so if my opinion changes by the time the series ends, I'll let you know. :)
Would you care to explain why you like Mahouka? If you don't respond, I'll assume you don't have any good reasons, but I genuinely am interesting in your opinion on this. :)
It's bad because it's 2-dimensional and tries to be something it isn't.
My 9/10 to EL is just because it was one my first animes (I did explained it in a tag, if I had watched it today it would've probably been way lower. Jojo is 8 because Jojo is good.
I did overreacted with 2/10 (This rating only refers to the first episode, by the way), but I will say this was one of the worst first episodes this season, Locodol was hard to finish but at least it knew it was just a silly Idol anime, Akame Ga Kill tries to look like an complex and violent Seinen but it's just an bland battle shounen like any other.
