----------------------------------------
Beautiful episode

Yune was shocked at the food, especially the cheese reminds me of when I tried some Limburger cheese and smelled it first, her reaction was the exact reaction as in my experience.

Claude and Yune at the market were more like brother and sister than friends.

Yune is so curious at the market

The fact that she actually has kitchen experience and started peel potatoes in the kitchen, pretty much made this episode and solved the question I was wondering last episode, she may know how to cook and she does well in the kitchen.

That scene after the ending with Oscar and Yune eating what it appears to be raisins out the jar was great. Claude choking on them afterward full of lolz.

that is not yukata. yune is wearing a kimono called furisode (a kimono for ladies have not married yet. has long sleeves) yukata is more casual kimono, nmmmm...like a bathrobe possible to go out.

I agree with this except that I did have my experience with that type of food but definitively the reaction that Yune was there.

Next episode looks promising.

I guess I am not the only one that love Yuna and this anime.

She is so adorable, lol funny how hard should it be to eat from a Spoon.
I can't eat well with chopsticks thought hehe.

Very good drawing :)

After the ending song end, they were eating plums and Claude = (^_^)

I don't know but my hearts feel like it moving ^_^

Amen. She is the cutest little thing, makes you wanna hug her though the screen. Argh, the wait between episodes on this one is gonna kill me. Great feel-good show.

Hope the blonde girl in the preview doesn't cause a bunch of loldrama and ruin the great HNNNNNGGGG this show has going.

That one blonde boy better not become a love interest.
Yune was so adorable trying to learn the names of the various vegetables, especially the pumpkin.

That moe wizard, Oscar though...

It's so nice to hear French pronounced correctly in this show. Well, at least by the narrator/voice over guy. Cute how Yune doesn't like cheese. But then again, every single thing that she does has an adorable quality about it.

I'm not entirely sure either, but it seems she either tagged along with gramps unexpectedly or was hired as a servant.

Yune's reaction to what she eats is just sooooo cute, whether the food be to her liking or not. I especially liked her face when she was trying the cheese for the second time.

I can't really blame Claude for not wanting her to stare at him while he's working. If there's someone as adorable and precious as Yune standing in my presence, I too wouldn't be able to concentrate at work, my attention being distracted by her cuteness. XD

Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go take my heart pills.

I wonder how old she is though, 8-9 ish maybe?

Well, my Moe Meter has been refilled for the week.
Definitely one of the best series of the season.
I loved Yune's reaction to cheese and coffee (she has an adorable stubborn streak). And Claude's reaction to umeboshi was exactly the same as mine my first time, but it really does grow on you.

This anime makes me feel so warm and fuzzy inside.
Yune is the most adorable, precious girl ever.
Awwee. I hope she'll learn to love cheese too </3 It's a great thing.

And lol at the spoon part!
I remember one time when I almost forgot how to use a spoon and fork because I was using chopsticks all summer long.

And about the preview: Oh No.
It's a blond, curly-haired girl.
Who seems rich.
A snobby D:

THAT 'S HOW THEY ALWAYS ARE D:

AND THEN THEY ALWAYS END UP MAKING THE CUTE LITTLE MAIN CHARACTER CRY D:

And then we all rage.

I hope that's not the case </3

Yune left her family to assist gramps, and his grandson. The grandfather did some trading with them, and I think the family suggested Yune go with him. See in Japan Yune's job was to kind of be the sign outside the door. So gramps thought it may help their business to have something exotic. Plus Yune gets to experience another culture, and make connections business wise. At least that's what I have come to understand.

Well there would have to be money involved in some sort of way even if it was just going to be refunded so they made sure they got her back. I would say Oscar instead bought her though they refuse to give details. I am tempted to read the manga to see if they give more information but I just know I wouldn't be able to stop and ruin the surprise.

Nothing is really mentioned about their ages. However, I did find a description of Yune, and apparently before she came to France she was a maiko a geisha in training. Usually Maiko's are somewhere between 14-16 years of age. Which is interesting why Yune looks so young, but then again Asians are tiny, and young looking, so maybe that adds a realistic quality seeing how she is in France where everyone is taller and older looking. Not sure on Claude's age. I would assume somewhere between 16-19.

Ah yes, the reaction of a westerner eating their first umeboshi plum....priceless. I can remember it well. Now here I sit with two packages in the fridge right beside the dashi, miso, and udon. Cross cultural diffusion is wonderful. A couple of months ago I saw a short report on NHK regarding classes being offered in Tokyo on how to appreciate cheese.

How can this possibly be so cuuuute?! Yune is just off the charts adorable. I don't know how I'll be able to choose between this and Usagi Drop right now. They're both just so amazing.

At the end of the episode I'm trying to decide if Yune's or the old man's reaction to the plum was better, then Claude popped in and stole the whole scene. XD

A whole episode dedicated to food, but it was adorable.

And her reactions ring so true. Yune+spoon = me+chopsticks at the beginning of my stay in Japan. Down to the "you don't have to use it if you can't" "- no, no, I have to master it!"
And Claude's reaction to umeboshi was mine as well xD
