| GENBU! YOU DUMMY! WHY?!?!? This was actually a G (Gai) vs J fight (Gaogaigar)! XD (with Hyuuga Geki beiing one of the Four Kings even. lol) Oh my Gosh..doesn't look like that this new Four Kings are as weak as the previous Four. I can't wait to see more of their swords, or maybe themselves, in action. We got a real rough war on our hands, Just seeing the Libra sword snap just broke my heart. |

| o wow didnt expect Genbu to be pierced by Hyperion sword, his sacrifice reminded me of Sage when he used his body to seal Thanatos soul an then died but this was probably even more tragic cause Genbu failed, i liked the character but i like some good death scenes so no problem |

| I don't see how our fellow Saints are going to win this war. The Pallasites are way OP. Lets see if Seiya Delivers in the next episode and finally kills HAti. He's been alive too long. |

| Genbu chooses the sword because is the most heroic. In the end Genbu didn't accomplish anything when it comes to the amount of significant frags. In the first series he didn't manage to kill Tokisada, in the second he didn't even take out Class 2 Palasite (I don't buy that whole "our Four Kings are better", Team Kouga will destroy them either way with power of friendship). In retrospect, the only thing he achieved was serving as a cannon fodder for main characters, mainly Kouga and Haruto, in order to show off their "badassery" (if killing off a ridiculed and exhausted opponent is badass at all). Right now I don't like how death is used in this series: sure, it's war in it's prime, everybody can die, but why those deaths must be so farfetched and their only meaning is to be a premise for the main characters Heroic Berserk Acts? Also, about protecting - I am pretty sure they could avoid this fight all along if they actually DESTROYED THE GODDAMN BRIDGE or used any other strategy but no, Genbu had to have his five minutes that were full of everything but logic. If they wanted to build up a character before his heroic sacrifice, they could do it better in many other ways. |

Fight with Tokisada established only one thing - that Genbu is a capable Saint but in the end it didn't matter, because Genbu didn't actively help Team Kouga in defeating Mars. Yep, aside from "being the balance ofthe Sanctuary" but then again it was only an excuse, so the main team won't become overpowered. Also it takes from Haruto's actual victory, because Tokisada was fatigued after the fight with Libra and THEN AGAIN Haruto had tremendous problems with defeating him. It seems pointless too me whatsoever. The writing is better in the second season, I won't argue with that, but they are still things that irk me to no end and they could vanish just by devoting couple of more thoughts by the producers about plot a bit more. |

| This show...its so predictable and cheesy I dont understand why he did that... was it worth it to sacrifice himself just to chip a sword, like if he broke it...well still probably wouldn't be worth it >> And with his death and him announcing Omega, im guessing this show going to end soon |
| I felt kinda relieved when Genbu died. He was indeed an interesting character, but I just did not like the concept of Dohko's another disciple. What's more, that "another disciple" became Libra Gold Saint after Dohko died, not Shiryu. Genbu had a good death, sacrificing himself for the sake of others and being able to slightly damage Hyperion's sword. And the whole fight scene was epic. It wasn't wise to not use that bridge, though. He could reduce the risk of damaging Palaestra by Pallasites. Too bad he, as a character, did not have more complex story that could be shown. Maybe if he had one, I wouldn't be that much skeptical about him becoming Libra Gold Saint. |
