Desert operation huh? This is a nice change of atmosphere imo.
Nice mech:

Some of the action was actually kinda nice imo. No deaths yet huh. I got a feeling that might change soon. Anyways, better episode this week. Lol @ next episode. I see some nurse outfits. Oh boy.

More like Mars desolated and rough condition than actual desert.
So MAL finally starts locking news threads that are only a few weeks old?

I wonder where was the announcement of this change? Or we are seeing yet another case of changes made that impacted users but not communicated to them?

I wonder how long people would put up with this.

As much as I have a bunch of information to share about anime announced recently I cannot share it in news board, and the anime series is too disorganized and chaotic to share information except with people already interested in the particular series.

Two key points this episode hit on

- Soldiers in the Wulgaru army
- JURIA System capabilities

We've been told already the JURIA system operates more efficiently when the mental states of Team Rabbits are better but we see it in execution this week. It makes sense now why those two guys have been leading Tamaki on, flirting with her constantly, because it keeps Tamaki her genki self which in turn allows her to push the mech she pilots to its breaking point

I'm worried for Asagi in the future. He's been having lots of internal conflict now for the past couple of episodes, first with his relationship between Izuru/Kei and now the seeds of doubt because he equates being a clone similar to a Wulgaru soldier(clone).

Kei in a nurse outfit? *Nosebleed*

Interesting information on the Wulgaru, and how the soldiers don't have a will of their own. Hm I guess Tamaki's positiveness is at least good for something, like how she could hang in their despite being stuck inside.

I just realized, I like Suruga's gold robot because of the weapons it has! And positive reinforcement for Tamaki. Haha. Her expression when she saw that fat crew save her. Lol.

I sort of feel bad for Tamaki they're only making her feel good for militant reasons, Also Asagi once again showing that he has a few problems with their current situation comparing himself to Wulgaru clones.

Good episode!!!

I really enjoyed this Operation Ares they did in the desert in Mars. The designs were pretty good and some of the members of Team Rabbits particularly Izuru and Asagi are becoming wary of their own existences as they compare themselves to the soldiers of the Wulgaru. I wonder what that data was as it seems to be very important. Seems like Tamaki was in high spirits but overused her AHSMB to the point of it overheating and was saved just in time.

Looking forward to the next episode!!

5/5

The episode without infamy and without praise, puts into practice the theories expounded before time is done using the Tamaki as a guinea pig, the mecha are fucksters and beautiful to look at, a bit of information about the enemy is provided to us. Some existential doubt also, I would say that quite a perfect score if he deserves it, although it is not particularly exciting! XD

Tamaki shined in this episode!!!! Interesting information about the Wulgaru solders who are thrown away when not needed anymore. Asagi has his doubts. Comparing himself to the Wulgaru. Ideals are clashing!!! Close call for Tamaki. Yay nurse outfits next week.

As the pit crew was fighting to save Tamaki I was immediately reminded that this goes on in real life all the time. Here are a couple of yt videos from WWII footage (US crafts, but such happened on the decks of all nations then and since) - notice the common theme is the deck crews climbing on top of burning planes to pull out the pilots.

I liked the bit with the water shield around the space station to protect from the cosmic particles(some actual RL science behind this) and it's double use for food production.

Tamaki actually stepped up and did some good. As per a few others I think they pilots will find out about the Juria system more complex workings.

Huh? are you talking about what Kei said at 6:55? I didn't get that from what she said. Seems to me she was just reminding them that Mars had a gravity that wasn't insignificant and they weren't used to flying around in one that strong in those units.

Is it possible to post a screen shot for a relative reference? So far, the closest I found is that around 3:00 on my crunchroll feed Daniel is saying something about the ship might collapse under its own weight due to the gravity, and that at most they have 36 hours. I'm trusting to the subs there as I can't follow what he says before he mentioned having only 36 hours.

yes thats the part, since the weight is 3 times smaller it is difficul to think that a ship like that build to resist to extrem conditions would fall to pieces because of the gravity but onestly i dont think its impossible, anyway why we discuss this ?? :D it doesnt change much it was just something i noticed but i dont care about it ^_^

Ah. The way you initially worded it "go down" made it sound like "fall from the sky to the ground", so I was confused.

Gal3riel said:

You mentioned it, it simply caught my attention.

It's hard to know what the design requirements would be for a space craft. A possible analog is whales, when beached, depending upon conditions, either die of dehydration or suffocate because their body collapses on their lungs. So, even though their bodies are very capable of withstanding enormous water pressure at very great depths, their bodies and lung muscles are designed around the fact that the water supports their weight in a certain way and take away that water support and their muscles can't make the lungs function because they literally start to crush themselves. A space craft might be designed in a 'similar' way - it may need supports in ways that help it sustain high speed maneuvers in the weightlessness of space that may do very little to support it in the directions a strong gravity well may exert.

Actually if that was built only for space vacuum then it is quite possible it can't stay in a gravity environment or it can stand only very light gravity like in the moon.
The show says 3 minutes later on that Mars has a little over a third of earth gravity so they do know their science facts so i doubt they made a mistake there.

I had a feeling there'd be some dark secrets in that ship. I guess it shows just how bad things are for the Wulgaru when they end up cloning most of their soldiers. They're basically organic robots, that can't even function without some form or genetic engineer and synthetic manipulation. It's pretty sad. I'm guessing Daneel is one of these soldiers as well. He's neveer had much of a personality. I wonder if he'll break down in the future, too?

I'm hoping MJP doesn't do much more of this emotional manipulation to the pilots. It almost got Tamaki killed. And I don't even like her. Oh well, maybe she'll appreciate her fat otaku crew more now.

Yeah I think this emotional conditioning is going to eventually backfire against them. There's so much going on about Rabbits that we are in the dark about.

Are the clones? Genetically engineered test tube babies? Something is going to give soon.

I still find Tamaki annoying, specially with her fixation on physical atractiveness as the sole measuring stick for the opposite sex, but it is pretty sad that she's only getting treated that way to increase her operational performance.

The clones thing is going to become an issue soon.

Wonder if they recovered anything useful from that crashed Wulgaru ship.

Tamaki isn't a callous girl, all things considered. While it's true that she is comedically attracted to any good looking dude, she was still happy and gracious when one of the pudgy guys on the pit crew pulled her out of the overheating mech, despite the split second disappointment that he wasn't the bishie guy she was expecting. Additionally, roleplaying as a cat seems to provide her reassurement on a psychological level, to the point of improving field performance, so there's that.
