am i the only one bothered by the fact that yuuko is blaming yuu for what happend to her? i mean she went through some fucked up shit but to blame it on yuu is unfair of her...i mean how in hell could he have foreseen what happend to her at the age of 6 or 7?

It's a bit screwed-up that not revealing Yuko's "disgrace" is a big part of Amamiya's argument as to why Himura can't kill him. madonna-whore complex lol

Holy crap how was amazing, the way Shaft animates this makes it so much better.
Again both the stuff before and after the ending was crazy.
I used to like Yuuko's story better, but then I liked Mizuki's story better, but after the ending I'm really not sure anymore. There are both masterpieces.
I almost never read discussions after I made my post, if you want to reply PM me or post on my profile page.

At this point, it's all up to Yuuko now as far as she's concerned. She has to step up and decide to change things. "Throw it all away" as the preview says, and try to fix things. Yuu could theoretically help, but I wouldn't approve it until Yuuko agrees to his actions as well. As long as she doesn't agree, Yuu is just interfering, which is no good. In fact he should try to convince Yuuko that the current situation is messed up. As for blaming childhood things on Yuu, well, not the best idea. They were way too young to really think it through at that time. In any case, I somehow believe in Yuuko.

And those scars could be much worse, really. That in itself wouldn't stop me from loving her (at least based on what they showed so far). At least half of them should heal anyway once that *** sensei stops beating her up.

P.S. Yuu with the pipe at the beginning totally reminded me of Higurashi.
What's the point of all this? // There's no point. I'm doing it because I can. That's all there is to it. // What will be left behind after this? // Nothing at all. She'll die and I'll burn out. The end. That's all. (Requiem for the Phantom)

I'm hating Yuu now..

pqueolrac said:
yu is very intelligent, killing amamiya sensei wud only cause a major trouble with the police, but i dont think theres any problem telling the police about it.. sensitive cases are mostly confidential.. i hate yuuko.. she only returns to yu in order to tel him that she is suffering because he abandoned her.. yu has nothing to do with yuuko in d 1st place, for its only a coincidence that they are in the same orphanage.

as for shuichi/mizuki story, i tot mizuki will answer those questions.. she just walks out and i dont even recall her cryin.. and whats more confusing to me is that kuze-san begs to live when he already isolates himself from his loved ones.

this story is getting more interesting.. answers had been made, but a lot of questions are still unanswered.. i think this is their trademark

If Akari Amamiya isn't dead by the end of this anime I'm dropping this from a 10 to a fucking 1.

"I'm going to live, even if it kills me" - I don't think that's the way things work.

yuuko and himura's story is getting intense, unlike the other tale...

i still dont understand what direction the kuze storyline is going. if anything- it's getting a bit ridiculous now.

intense shit in both himura and kuze arcs...

i guess kuze doesn't hold feelings for nagi anymore? seeing that his flashbacks are all of mizuki's when he had the heart attack

seeing that himura is well and about as an adult, most likely he won't kill amamiya sensei otherwise he'd be in jail or something

well, kuze arc seems like finale soon while himura arc seems like it will take a while

I realize I'm rather late in this observation, but I've realized with this episode that this series is largely a collection of philosophical questions loosely strung together by its overall narrative. I almost feel like I'm watching NGE.

Kuze's barrage of whys made this abundantly clear perhaps more than any other event. It didn't feel like he was asking Mizuki all those questions. It felt more like he was throwing them into the open as a vague interrogation towards any person he's ever met. That entire scene did well to expose the thoughts and pose the life questions of a terminally ill man.

I'd also agree with the assessments that Amamiya-sensei seems to be seeking death.

But yeah, not as good as the last episode.

How is it that this anime can both break and warm my heart? When she said she wanted him to fall in love with her so that she could hurt him, oh geez, that was like a punch to the gut.

I'm also very curious as to what Yuu and Yuuko's CURRENT relationship is. When talking to Renji about love in season 1, Renji asks Yuu if he is in love with the one for whom he is waiting. Though he doesn't give a definitive answer, Yuu basically says that yes, he loves that person. We only see the two have a brief interaction at the end of season 1, so it's obvious that they get separated in the end and had some plans to meet up at the church. I wonder what happened afterwards. He clearly still loves her, but I wonder if she still hates him.

Kuze said he broke off his engagement, presumably with Nagi, whom he loved. She played the girlfriend card, likely so that Mizuki would back off and that neither she nor Kuze would have to further suffer. I'm assuming Kuze loves Mizuki, though it's a tad unclear.

That scene with Kuze asking many questions reminded me of the cell phone breakdown Miya had in season 1.

He basically explained that the reason she didn't is because it would leak out what he did to her, and everyone would know that he'd beaten and raped her. The rape part makes her feel, and most others see her, like she's been defiled. She'd likely be more ostracized than she already is, or at least, that is what her and her brother assume.

Finally Kuze lets all his maskes fall while facing death. That he's not fearing death, that he's not interested in mizukis love. It was a wonderful picture, while in the last scene all maskes got crossed out

This episode made me care a whole lot less about Yuuko's situation. She basically said I endured all this suffering just so I could use my pain as revenge on you. REVENGE???? Bitch are you completely brain dead??? How could some sad kid in the orphanage have any idea the kind of trauma you would suffer for not accepting you as his "imouto"? Additionally - and I'm paraphrasing here - but "Oh so you only start to care now" ????????????? He literally just found out. It's not that he didn't care when you were kids. He had his own problems to deal with.

Yuuko you are sick, and I'm guessing it was that way far before the abuse.

Show turned unexpectedly twisted. Kuze is an asshole, needs to die. Mizuki is so cute and deserves someone else. Yuuko is a dirty whore.

For all his effort to distance himself from Mizuki, Kuze's faltered when it finally matters. I guess the romance's gonna go forward, in spite of Nagi's presence.

Himura grabbed the knife Yuko gave him and confronted her adopted brother, only to be kicked around like a stray. Can't really blame him for that. For all of his righteous anger, they don't fare well against practical considerations. And that child abuser easily manipulated him with all of those words.

Also, I think Yuko is seriously fucked in the head. If anyone's to blame, it's her pdf of a brother, not Himura with an orphan's mental baggage.
