I am a college student who discovered the anime world in 2010 after marathoning through naruto, bleach and inuyasha, i then watched code geass and after that i was hooked on anime. Though naruto and bleach did get me into the anime world as a whole, i grew up watching watching anime on toonami such as rurouni kenshin, dbz, and yu yu hakusho, gundam wing, and g gundam, but at the time i did not realize that they were anime.
I am always on the look out for new anime or manga to pick up so any suggestions will be appreciated.
In addition to watching anime i also enjoy gaming, i generally play MMORPGS such as guild wars 2. I have recently also started playing Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition and League of Legends, but i am still a complete noob at them so any pro tips will be appreciated. I also stream games on twitch from time to time so drop by and hang out some time at

The old movies like Metropolis and Akira are both motion picture masterpieces. But give it time, and i have noticed that it does improve over time.
But i see your point entirely.
It really comes down to the ammount of frames they use for a motion picture scene. Computer can generate how ever many frames they want. But actually showing a fully fluid action scene, takes about 50 or so frames for like a few seconds. Alot of animators like to cut corners and use less frames which gives you that still image look.
This is like my favorite amv on kenshin, love it.
