| Well,whether Medaka Box gets a 2nd season or not,is based on (I think) whether the series sales well or not.But based on the large amount of moe & ecchi anime,I have a feeling the perverted otakus of Japan may help this series get a 2nd season. My only real worry is the company who is adapting the series,Gainax.Will they give it a 2nd season or just choose to end the adapting on a cliffhanger? |

Sales have no bearing on how the second half is made.. except maybe even less of a budget than it already has. Jump pushed Mago to have 2 seasons and it sold pretty bad, Bakuman is getting a 3rd season... I'm sure Kuroko will get another one. Sales are important for getting something after the second set of 12 episodes to be animated So,you're saying that Shueshia (in this case,WSJ) will try to prevent any of it's series from having 1 season anime adaptations.Hhmmm,not sure if it's because they want to gain a profit or get the manga series more popular,but either way THANK GOD.I do believe we have gotten a form of confirmation for this at the beginning of episode 6,when they showed of "mangareader know who" at the beginning. But 12 episode will cover only the FP arc,which ends on a major cliffhanger.I'm sure the sales of season 1 will determine if Gainax should adapt the various events after season 2 (& if they chose to do it in a 20+ episode format).I mean since the Enforcer arc started,there's absolutely no ideal stopping point till the end of the last arc that recently finished in the manga.If I had a choice in the matter,that's where I end the anime if I can't continue. |
