Just wondering but what does everyone like better the series or the movie of Escaflowne, for me I'd have to say the series. The movie was good and all but the series was <3 for me, it was like one of my very first anime to watch.

I also liked the series a lot better than the movie. It was better at showing the interaction between the characters.

Vision of Escaflowne Series for me as well. You got to get to know the characters a little more. And it explained a lot more of the story plus more Van! X3

Definitely the series, since it was longer/provided more character development, but the movie did have some lovely animation and great moments (such as Van and Dilandau's psychic battle ... so cool *_*)

Taking into consideration that the movie is practically un-watchable, I must say the series.

In every age, in every place, the deeds of men remain the same.

Definitely the series. I liked the fighting scene in the movie, and there are a lot of amusing things, like Dilly running around in green underwear (seriously, WTF?!), but the series is a lot better, imop.

The Series for sure. I liked the movie for what it was, but the series is what won my heart.

OO Just don't ask about the two manga series.

I voted for the series because I haven't seen the movies (and after all the reviews I've read, I won't be seeing it anytime soon).

DITTO! Wished there was a second series or something, but highly impossible. One of the few series that really won my heart.

I felt the series was too rushed though towards the end; they should have kept to 39 eps as originally planned.

The movie, the movie. Just joking.

No seriously watching the movie was not a pleasant experience for me.

And the tv series was one of my all time anime classics.

The series all the way.

The movie was a pretty big disappointment.

My problem with the movie was the changing of characters' roles. It is impossible to properly develop characters if the viewers have preconcieved notions of them and the movie does not live up to those notions. Folken, for example, serves as a lovable antihero in the series, and I got quite attached to him as that, and couldn't accept him for what he was in the movie.

I'll go with the series just because there's more of it, but I also really enjoyed the movie.

I think the movie was great and really tastefully done in practically every aspect but i would still say the series was better just because it is, like, AMAZING!! the storyline, the characters, art, soundtrack... perfection x

The series, hands down.

The movie is only decent, at best. The soundtrack was nice but that's about it.

The series over the movie for sure. The movie was alright but the series was what everyone had to watch.

Obviously the series.

But I have to admit that the movie has GREAT animations, really nice for the eyes.

Also first minutes of the movie are pretty exciting, Van being more serious and badass... better animations in the fight... blood, arms, heads... :D

Hitomi has a deeper and depressed personality that reminds me Shinji Ikari of Evangelion, not bad.

Folken is completely fuc*ed up, didn't like the "new" version.
