And what's up with Rey, I liked him in the beginning, but now he just seems really sketchy. Sure he is "calm" and tries to get Shinn and Athrun to stop fighting, yet he clearly doesn't like Athrun, and I think it's for a different reason than Shinn. Or I could be wrong. Athrun is not happy about the new MS. But he should take it anyways so that in case he goes decides to go back with Kira and co., he'll have something super powerful. |

Shinn, Rey, and Captain Gladys have already shown that they are predisposed against Athrun, and they are the leaders of the Minerva. It feels like the whole crew is against Athrun. He never should've joined it in the first place. At the beginning of the series, joining ZAFT was the right move for Athrun. The Earth Union was trying to commit genocide against his people. Orb was unwilling to oppose the Earth Union. That made ZAFT literally the only faction at the time that was standing up to the Earth Union, and were pretty squeaky clean. It was only until after Athrun had rejoined ZAFT that the Archangel reemerged onto the scene, and it was only until a few episodes ago that ZAFT started crossing into morally grey territory by trying to destroy the Archangel, and Durandal's iffy idea of pinning the Earth Union's hostility towards the PLANTs on the military industrial complex. | Durandal is the only decent character here and the way he made Shinn a blind follower would be interesting if the events that lead to it weren't absolutely moronic and forced. It's also funny how, now that he's on the Archangel, Neo/Mu is suddenly a cheerful guy and not a war criminal who coerced mentally unstable child soldiers into vaporizing hundreds of people. |
| The most satisfying punch i ever seen in media, Shinn absolutely deserved it, too bad that It seems everyone on the minerva hate Athrun. I wonder what ray is hiding behind his calm appearance. Lunamaria is right, Athrun is too kind, i hope he realizes this thing too. |
