After weeks of breaks, this show is finally back.

They did make the mansion burning and fight scenes more dramatic than they should. Otherwise, story tone and animation quality remains generally the same. The kids are getting more annoying though imo.

In the end the kids were kidnapped. Well, at least most of them.

They are determined to rescue the kids but, that doesn't mean nothing if they cant defeat Pendulum. 0-2

We’ve waited so long for this anime to get resumed!

Honestly, I did like this episode more than the rest. The planned attack at Mr. Johannes’s house, the saving of the children and Dali fighting with that dhampir were amazing.

First things first, I'm happy there is a Recap 'cause I had forgotten half the story after 4 weeks.
It was not a good Recap, but I found it helpful in this case. (It's still a 5/10 Recap)

This is a perfect episode... for studying animation.
It seems like they had not even begun animating some cuts in this episode when episode 6 was released.
There are some goods cuts, that were probably finished a long time ago, but what's in between looks like it was made last minute.
Continuity errors between cuts are easily visible every few minutes, there are a lot of still frames etc.
Also many cuts have 3D-looking movement. I don't think the characters are actually 3D models with a filter though.
To me it seems more likely that they were either rotoscoped or drawn over 3D models.
J.C.Staff did bite off more than they could chew...

Note:
I believe the members of Pendulum were originally not meant to come in through the floor.
The hole in the background doesn't leave enough room for what we see later in the fight.
The cuts right before and after the ad break are also different.
I'm guessing the second half of the episode was animated first, and then while making the first half they realised that they didn't have enough time to finish the original plan, so they had them make a hole in the floor and just changed the background in the second half, even if it didn't make much sense.

Story-wise I was not impressed either.
The exposition was obvious and the development was kind of expected. I did not think he was dhampir, but after mentioning revenge it was clear that he was going to be the character we focus on next. The way we get there is still contrived imo.

Overall, this episode makes it clearer that this is another just-read-the-source-material kind of anime.

Oh no, they took the children hostage. Who would have guessed that? 🙃🙃🙃

Omg, it's finally back!!

I love how the kids are so unbothered after being kidnapped 💀

But, I must admit, Raphael demonstrated in this episode that he cares for his younger brother by hiding him and leaving him behind so that his father can rescue him.

My main issue with the series continues to be the amount of worldbuilding questions I have which are uncertain, leaning toward unlikely, to ever be answered. At least within this season and in a full and satisfactory manner.

Like, is this taking place on Earth? Are they in Japan or some other country or is it in a completely alternative world and they're in a country within that world modeled on some Baroque era European one?

Is every single person in this country/world a vampire unless explicitly stated otherwise and referred to as something else? Meaning, other than that half-vampire/half-human or dhampir guy who is part of the criminal conspiracy ring, every single other character we've seen featured onscreen thus far from all the mains of the fathers and children (this I assume to be true), all of the other agency officials and police officers, the house nanny/maid and butler at Dali Delico's estate, etc., are all vampires?

Was that village referred to of Nebula singled out for a particular reason related to criminal activity of some kind or was it exterminated almost down to the last man/woman/child just because the population entirely consisted of dhampirs, and that was enough to warrant its destruction? In other words, is being a dhampir in and of itself a crime and state-sanctioned genocide like in the form of the liquidation of that village authorized as official policy to purge them out of existence?

There are more minor small detail ones not necessarily important to the plot but just out of pure curiosity, like addressing these vampires' diet (the role blood plays in it compared to all other food, or is it just enough to have some blood-based and raw or rare-cooked dishes once in a while, like that duck blood's soup, or steak tartare?), but that would just be a bonus if ever elaborated upon and not strictly speaking necessary.

The other questions though regarding the whole fundamental foundation of their world and the nature of the government and society they live under and in are really crucial though and distracting and troublesome to leave unaddressed or as like an afterthought past the midway point of the anime.

Worth the wait. Animation was really good and the action scenes where some of the best we've witnessed.

I almost forget this anime, too much break, reminds me of Zom100 situation, good anime can easily be ruined by unexpected long hiatus.

Wtf man... Every single vampire we've seen is weak AF! Nobles got their asses kicked yet again, while blood-guard got bitten and now have to be imprisoned. What a shitshow. Vampires are doomed.

This episode was relatively well animated, and it should be after all that delay.

I laughed at the end how the kids are just acting normal and annoying their captors.

I think it's relying on self evident things.

It's Earth in a European like setting in the past which in most anime isn't 100% true to history and you commonly see Japanese things slip in but i didnt notice any yet. Whether another world is pretty irrelevant when the world's rules seem to be same as normal.

I had always assumed due to their secrecy they are all vampires living in their own sort of society.

That seemed self evident to me that TRUMP wants an ethnic cleansing of the Dhampir for being impure, assuming if that was who was behind it for sure. It likely will be explained more later.

This is already full of a lot of painful dialogue as is, it would be worse if they go around explaining things all the time they themselves would know so I kind of get why they arent being direct but i get what you mean it could use a few more clues but I think they are considered uninportant thus not focused so much or if they are it may be info dumped later or something

@traed
This is not an original anime. It is belong to a stage show series.
I'm afraid they won't explain the worldbuilding so I would like to explain something about it.

Act 2 of the TRUMP business going into the Clan Festival, with Johannes taking care of the vampire children, he sure did not expect Pendulum to strike when he least expected it, much less the 4 vampires having to regain control of the Vlad Agency and save the kids out of danger.

Dali thinking that he can control Pendulum with its numbers, that wasn't the case as the children get kidnapped...that is all expect Dali's toddler boy Ul. Dali gets himself injured in the process, but they've no time to waste making bad choices, much less getting their own children back. At the very least, Dali noticing a dhampir in Pendulum's ranks is their only hope, and the top-secret documents that trails the Nebula Village that the dhampir was once from, that is the only lead.

Pendulum finding themselves now running the nursery instead, it's a pain on their end too.
