Yea alot of passions in this world you can't make money from, that's why I think all of this is just stupid. Idc about alot of things and I find it devastating that we're all on a hamster wheel. I'd prefer to be active too ,rather than be in a lab. Yea you need to think with your logic rather than heart ,however won't you feel it in the end? Knowing this is something you truly don't wanna do at all. I'm still figuring things out myself. But something tells me I'm taking the wrong route or thinking in the wrong direction towards it.

Yes I hear alot of these crooks are very charming and charismatic as to how they're easily able to get victims. Alot of ppl just question why they don't date hookers and sleep with them ,but heck these guys victimize these hookers as well ,it's crazy.

Hmmm I'm very neutral on SS rightnow ,like I'll finish some more series sure lol. But it'll just linger in my watched anime ,idk if it'll land in my favorites tho. It takes awhile for me to actually miss a series when I've finished it ,for me to want to make it one of my favorites. Inuyasha brings back way too much memories, alot of my family knows about Inuyasha bcuz when we were much younger ,we'd watch inuyasha on adult swim whenever it aired. Ik I've said this like 100x alrdy ,but I rlly belive the 2000s were the peak of anime. Inuyasha ,blood + ,Naruto ,Kenichi ,Airgear ,airmaster ,pre-cure, Claymore etc... the 90s had some real bangers as well tho DBZ ,yyh ,Sailor moon and other stuff lol

in this generation, I can tell we all still will be watching anime even in our 40s ,so times most def will be diff compared to back then. Finding an adult cast is like findingna hay in the needle stack ,there's barely Any out there. Alot of mangakas have to realize 20 and 30 is still technically young. A 30yo that's lost and doesn't completely know what he wanna do in this world is completely fine (imo). A 50yo would call someone 30 to be young ,so not all of them are grown ups rlly. Like how DMX said "I'm a big boy now, but I'm still not grown" lol I for sure wouldn't mind a female Virgo gold saint, but I'm be honest shaka was amazing ,I don't think she'd be able to top him as more favorable. ■ This one might get you upset ,but I gotta go with princess peach. I didn't like Sasha like that, she was just ok as a character, while I think Saori has a bit more substance and build up to her. It was quite sad to see her cry while she asked saga to kill her.
■WOW.......this one is hard. I like them both ,but in terms of dating I gotta go with..............bloom (sorry Musa). I actually like bloom and how easy going and willing to fight for what's right (may sound cliche) ,but I'd love Musa too tho.
■I gotta go with Flora. Stella is wayy too high maintenance spoiled rich girl that wants the best of the best things lol. Flora is more chill and in tune with nature .
■ Lmaoo I'd go with sakura tbh. Usaga is a great character, but something about her Is not my type at all ,she's cute ,but I never found her that attractive as well.
■Pandora. The greatest thing about Nana (the show) is that the characters feel so realistic. Nana Osaki wasn't my fav character, but I rlly appreciate the authors work and I forgot Nana was made in the 2000s as well. Rlly peak.

Yes you're right. I love anime, but it's time to put more time and energy into the next hobby, since this is all becoming the same. I will still watch ofc ,however it's time to lean more towards elsewhere. I wish there was a more 2d style of Chinese anime ,instead of the 3d style they like to use and with diff fashion as well. And there will be more emotional scenes coming! I even think many of these were more powerful in the anime than in the manga. Of course, music adds that emotion more, but also when in the manga many of these scenes just feel too fast. Also, when I listen that "Gin and Daisuke" track from the soundtrack, I always think about my childhood and all those people which were in my life back then. And that lake scenery of my grandparents' old home <3

She looks very nice in the lost canvas ,but there's just something about her hades arc design that I like more. That purple fits her more than just the all black and she look more mysterious/devious in the hades arc. In the lost canvas she is quite elegant looking. In this society masculinity is more praised and highlighted. Ppl mainly admire the loud ,out there ,goal driven ,stable ,strong ,center of attention type of ppl. Ig in society they mainly like women being feminine and men being masculine. Yea for sure gender doesn't matter. I always try to recommend therapy to ppl who have anger issues ,anger is such a dangerous emotion ,hurting others or yourself in the long run. I've seen ppl who can literally go 0 to 100 in the blink of an eye ,no one can ever make me that angry. My anger takes a little bit more time to process lol

I guess you have a life time phase with certain series. My biggest phase was dragonball ,buy the dbs manga destroyed it long agooo. My phases for certain shows and characters run out couple weeks to years. My SS phase is still somewhat in effect ,but it's not that strong compared to other series I've watched or played.

Yes I agree. Some anime are best seen as your first anime. But when you've seen hundreds of other anime ,it's a no no. That's why it's so hard for me to watch fairytail now. They rlly only care about the money. I use to debate quite a bit and something I will tell you is that ppl cherry pick ,they pick and choose sources/arguments that supports their arguments of things. The power of friendship trope got real corny now. As I mentioned how 16yo Shonen protagonists are beating final bosses that's been training and have like hundreds of years of experience in combat. The protagonists pretty much get their powers like 3 years ago.

I mean ig. Naruto just has so much flaws....Jesus christ where do I begin.....its cool and all that boruto is heavily inspired by sasuke ,but I'd like it If he mixed his own style of combat with what and how he was taught. I wanted to see a bit more power from him ,since they treated him like fodder lol. I rlly liked the relationship between the cancer saint manigold and the pope. The Capricorn I liked his attitude ,in the last episode dohko seems to be dead ,but ik he's not....I wonder how he survived. I like how the bad guy won in the end ,you don't see that too often. Tenma just often yelled at the top of his lungs when someone died lol. I just thought of this as well ,but it would be cool if you're a gold saint ,you can only marry someone with ur zodiac and pass down the gold cloths to ppl of that zodiac sign you have

Now here's the thing about masculinity and feminity ,they're duality like Ying and yang pretty much. We're all on a spectrum between the two and the real goal is to have a good balance of both. Femininity isn't weakness. There are times where men need to be kind ,caring, in touch with their emotions and expressing it for inner relief. I'm not attracted to men ,but I most def agree. A man that is calm and collected ,but strong when he needs to be is very attractive. Back in school alot of women found the guys who were angered very easily ,popular and usually got in alot of trouble to be the attractive one's. Yea as I said, something in me never clicked with bleach. I always tried to watch it and I played one of the games ,but the show just never clicked or appealed with me that much. But from you and my other friend are LITERALLY saying the same thing about it ,shows I believe it's true. The show is prob for kids at that point.

Lol it's a unpopular opinion of mine but I thought it would be cool to have konan on narutos team a little bit during the war ,have ger guide him around the edo tensai and instead of neji sacrificing himself for naruto/hinata ,I'd let it be konan who died for naruto. Give her some more screen time and develop a relationship with naruto a bit. Yea sasuke and obito still on teams would've been better. To me it didn't make sense to help naruto stop madara and kaguya ,just for him to turn on them and saying he wants to start a revolution. Obviouslyyyyy naruto would stop him and sasuke should've known that ,so might as well stay on obitos team ,betray him later if anything

The closest time was when naruto said goodbye to Minato and he was just venting everything to him about his whole life. All the other hokages listening , while they rlly respected naruto for everything he did in the war was extremely sad. As much as u don't like naruto ,I truly felt bad for him and even forgiving the guy who started all this and ruined his life.

Lol even with other fandoms I still like to trash naruto ,but I just like to talk about it since its fun. Naruto Is one of those anime where various paths and roads could've been took to make the show better or flesh out Characters who had more potential.

Heck yea I played kingdom hearts. I was a pretty huge fan back then and I been playing since I was a kid. I been out of the kingdom hearts loop for a couple of years tho. I like the Disney characters lol I can understand it's a little silly ,but they play a huge role and Mickey is the king. Yea kh can be very confusing since they were making stuff up as they go.

SM is great ,it's better when u finish it bcuz it makes u miss it and to me it's a great comfort show. Great comedy, great ost ,greatest characters and still great artstyle. Sm rlly is one of the best

I can also see what you mean about the village elders being corrupt, especially Danzo. Man, I hate his guts! I’m glad Sasuke “took care” of him heh heh. And don't worry I've seen the backstory from Madara and Hashirama. I think I've got one canon arc left and a bunch of filler. Next up is more of Itachi's childhood. Not sure if it's canon, but I'll be watching it anyway because Itachi is badass. 🔥

I’m prety much obsessed with Naruto right now yeah. I’ve put everything else on hold to just focus on this for now. Not sure if I’ll be watching Boruto because I’ve heard it’s fairly controversial. I’d probably only watch it to see the Naruto cast in their adult years lol. I did hear the manga is a lot better though, especially Blue Vortex which is what you're reading. Also how is Ranma ½? Is it worth watching the old version over the ongoing new one?

Hey it’s been a few weeks and watched a lot of Naruto again hahaha. I’m honestly so not ready for the void when I finish it. I have around 60-70 episodes left including potential filler and a lot has happened in the meantime!

The handling of Edo Tensei wasn’t as bad as I expected. And considering it’s Naruto with its boundless imagination for jutsu, it’s not that much of a surprise. I mean, we even witnessed in the OG that Orochimaru was able to perform reincarnation on the 1st and 2nd hokages during the Konoha Crush arc. I’m more surprised about the fact that the 2nd hokage was the one who invented it.

The more I watch of Naruto, the more I see the idealism vs nihilism duality as well. For example, Ashura vs Indra, the Senju vs Uchiha, Hashirama vs Madara and even Naruto vs Sasuke are all part of those dualities. I thought that was a really interesting part of the story. Madara’s philosophy was really unique too. Love cannot exist without hatred. Peace cannot exist without war. Light cannot exist without darkness, etc. In a way, Madara strikes me as a realistic character, whereas Hashirama is more on the naive side of things.



And there’s Sasuke as well. His desire to actually NOT destroy Konoha in the end was so surprising to me. I wonder what his new answer is after all. Is it the current shinobi system? Why did he suddenly team up with Naruto? I still have some questions about him and I hope the remaining episodes will give me some clarity.

A bit of a semi-related question but do you have a favourite opening? I’ve just experienced the famous Silhouette opening and it was great! Definitely a top 5 for me. :) I also love Closer (OP 4), because I love how deep the song is and the lyrics feel so relatable. And Diver (OP 8) mainly for the visuals and emotional singing. Finally, Sign (OP 6) because it was a perfect song for the arcs it handled.

Now I heard someone tell me that smoking (ciggs) was good for you back in the day. They had doctors verifying it , commercials advertising it and other professions spitting out crap on how it was beneficial for you ,then later they figured out everything was false. I do think some information and research are valid, but ik alot is not and forged to just to push certain narratives ,so I'm just very careful. As someone who's been Alive for sometime ,some things have scarred me and me very weary on if I should believe it or not. Schools lie ,scientists lie ,doctors etc.

Yea I rlly liked call of duty back then. MW3 ,Bo and BO2 amazing ,I've heard of medal of honor but never played it. I for sure will look it up later bcuz I think it was quite a popular game back then. I for sure miss splitscreen and co-op games. They were more fun for sure.

It prob did since it was quite popular. All popular and successful series inspire creators. Saint seiya maybe was the blue print for how shounen protagonists should act. Even tho I do think alot of other anime took certain things and have made it better with their own twists.

For an old series I think it has alot of content to keep the fans satisfied alrdy. They did a good job with both series and manga offerings, they just need to work on the writing a little bit more and add diff elements to their story.

I just thought soul of gold was Canon ,sp that'd mean she's Canon too. But oh wells ,if she not in the manga.....we'll she don't play sn important role anyway. Yea I like how both are somewhat bad. Lol I don't ship them and thought it was a bit awkward, but I understood what shun was doing. If ppl like yaoi and want it ,that's fine but none of the main characters come off as rlly gay to me and thus was made in the 80s ,they most def are less likely to have boy couples. I remember this one time I was in a server on discord......lol it was yyh and this woman (the owner) asked me if I wanted to read a Yusuke x Hiei fanfic ,I said sure yaoi isn't my thing ,but I'm prob just gonna point and laugh at it. She then later tells me that she wouldn't want her fanfic being laughed at and found great offense to what I said. I literally didn't even know it was her fanfic of them lml ,so that's why I'm prob a little bit nicer when it comes to yaoi stuff

Yea inuyasha for sure deserves.....top 10 anime imo. It balances out alot of stuff and I never got bored watching it. Heck maybe even top 5.

I can argue naruto having the 9tails is a huge plot convenience and sasuke has alot of plot armor as well, but idk If I can say they possess more than ichigo.

I mean ig yea. The sad music is fitting. I never cried during watching naruto ,but I do think there should've been more deaths in the series. There's alot of what ifs that I'd like ,what if nagato never used the rinne-rebirth and left everyone dead in the leaf, what if sasuke stayed by obitos side and for the war arc I'd just change alot. I would've preferred it for hashirama and madara to give all their power strength and Chakra to naruto and sasuke ,instead of having some random ninja god give them powers.

Yea I been knew thar they were married. I love both of their works ,it's funny bcuz the sailor moon characters are wayyy stronger than yyh and hxh characters. Sailor galaxia can blow up planets pretty easily. Well I shouldn't spoil too much ,but sailor moon was a rlly fun watch that I sorta recommend.....to ppl who don't mind filler lmao

Yeah, Next Dimension'a finale is good enough to be the definite conclusion to the series. As much as I'd like to see another story arc, I can't think of any valid reason for Saori to defy Apollo and his punishment. Doing so would only make her look like a real, genuine troublemaker capable of performing very selfish actions without looking at their consequences. Unless there's a huge threat endangering the Earth and humanity, or even the Olympus as a whole, I can't think of any logical continuation. Perhaps the spin-off option, i.e. showing Bronzies regaining their memories and becoming Gold Saints, wouldn't be that bad.

Oh yes, that beautiful double page was the best thing about that chapter. :D

Yes, Saint Seiya: Time Odyssey is still an ongoing series. The third volume was released not that long ago. From what I read some time ago, this comic is planned to end in five volumes.
I agree that the art style is beautiful. Detailed, colorful, full of dynamism.
As for Chronos, the god of time, yeah, he is the main baddie in Time Odyssey.

By the way, it was Cronus who was defeated by Zeus, not Chronos. Both Chronos and Cronus are often mistaken with each other, but they are completely different entities.

Saint Seiya Episode G kind of made it more confusing, because Kronos not only has a name that's similar to Chronos and Cronos, but he also has traits of both of them, as if they were merged with each other into one god or something, lol. He is the leader of titans, just like Cronus, and his main ability is connected to controling time (so something like you'd expect from Chronos). ;D

When I was a kid, I liked the visuals and atmosphere, but I also felt that it was awkward how the anime rooted so deep in Greek mythology switched from Greek to Norse mythology, only to come back to the former in the Poseidon arc. Or how a tall, muscular guy named Thor was the first opponent to job, lol.

After many years, I started to respect the Asgard arc more. I consider it a model filler arc. Asgard arc has all elements to be called as such: it's exclusive to the anime, but blends well with the story told in the show itself, and thus it's significant; it tries something new, but stays true to the soul of the anime to which it belongs; it is done with care, with high-quality art, music, and direction. Take character designs from it, in example. They didn't have to look that good, but they did, which was awesome and made the whole arc special.

There's also a fly in the ointment that can't be overlooked once someone reads the manga. Asgard arc blends well with the anime storyline, but disrupts the main storyline (let's call it "the canon story"). Because of that, the Poseidon arc in the anime feels less hmm... epic than it should have felt had there not been any story told before it and after the Sanctuary arc.

That's why I prefer to treat the manga and the anime storylines completely separately, with the manga having the privileged position as the original version of the story (obviously). By doing so one can enjoy both stories with the respect they deserve and without resolving to call one of them superior to the other. Both of them differ from each other a lot, even if their core remains the same, after all.

While the art style is a matter of one's preference, it can't be denied that it was one of the drastic changes offered by Omega. After all those beautiful designs created by Shingo Araki and Michi Himeno that we've gotten used to over all those years, we got something totally different. I totally understand complaints of fans who were put off by the new art style. I got used to it pretty fast, though. With time, it grew on me, and I ended up liking it for its unique look. It looked amazing in Casshern Sins anime.

About the Cloths change, ayy... Both the amulets thing and the introduction of elemental powers were elements I found the most difficult to get used to. xD I know that especially those amulets were better for merchandise and all, but I really missed Pandora boxes used to put the armors there and carry 'em around. That being said, I understand that change is better for the sake of modernizing the whole series. It worked well in CGI series or in the live-action movie.
As for elemental powers, they have always seemed something I think totally doesn't fit the Saint Seiya universe.

Yup, I have. In general, I enjoyed it for what it was. A creative anime sequel that was meant to attract new viewers, but its beginning was so different from the main show that the older fans might've felt confused, upset, or angry.

The first half had cool moments, mostly related to the Sanctuary 2.0 part and Abzu, but also many of its episodes were sluggish and mediocre at best (the ones with Aria and the main gang traveling). The second half, however, was kino. It's one of my favorite Saint Seiya pieces, actually. If you get used to all those changes and just go with the flow, the second half can be a very entertaining experience.

Saint Seiya Omega is not a bad anime. It received a lot of hate, but in many cases those negative comments did not refer to the actual changes done in Omega itself, but the fact that it was simply different from the original show. Heck, some preferred to rather thrash elements that... have always been pivotal for the franchise. Characters burning their Cosmo, the power of friendship, knocked-out characters who suddenly stand up and defeat their opponents, the Sanctuary arc model of narration used in many parts, etc. ;p If those elements are bad, then welp, perhaps folks complaining about them weren't actually Saint Seiya fans, hehe.

The Lost Canvas is good. I liked it. It's the first manga series I've ever completed, hehe. It's a shame that its anime adaptation stopped after just two seasons.

I don't think you will consider Saintia Shou better than TLC, but I think you might like it a lot nonetheless. As for Saint Seiya Omega manga, you can skip it. That's what I'd say, if it weren't for your goal of reading every single Saint Seiya manga, haha. Saint Seiya Omega manga doesn't adapt the whole story, but only a small part of it. So unless you are a fan of the anime, or want to check it out out of curiosity, or both, then I think it's totally fine to skip it. ;D

Yes, I concur it's hard to find a place on Reddit that is not a toxic echo chamber. But it's possible. My friend has been using this site for years and knows what to do and what to avoid. As for me, I only lurk it when I'm looking for an info. It's good as a source of information if you filter out toxic rants, baseless rumors or shitposting, lol.

I've been thinking about it recently. About how different I was when I started reading that manga and how the whole world has changes since then; also, how many Saint Seiya fans could have not lived long enough to see the ND's finale.

DBS manga is alright. It has its cons, but I really enjoyed reading it and anticipating each next chapter. Hopefully it will return soon. I feel there is still enough space to tell a nice story before the End of Z time. :P

So far, I've been enjoying Daima a lot. An awesome way to mix the original Dragon Ball anime's adventure and lightheartedness with flashy action known from Dragon Ball Z. It also feels for me like an attempt to make something like GT, just not happening after the final chapter of the manga but earlier, before Beerus' arrival and all. I treat it also as a somewhat love letter from Toriyama-sensei to all fans of his work. It's the last work he actively worked on before his death.

By the way, I also enjoyed DBGT. :D It had a different vibe than DB and DBZ, a unique atmosphere all its own. Which was totally understandable. It was a different anime series, after all. And like everything, it had its share of cons, but it also had many good elements (SSj4 transformation design, lore peculiarities, references, and arguably the nicest way to make a definite ending to the whole series). It was not half as bad as stereotypical GT haters have claimed it to be over all those years.

I hope it will really be Tenkai-hen.
Ehh after reading about the poll in Weekly Shounen Champion regarding what kind of the next Saint Seiya manga should be, my hopes went down a bit. It seems nothing is really certain as of today, I mean 14 November 2024. I hope the sequel manga option will win, lol.

My favorite Gold Saint... Hmm... Hard to tell, haha. In general I like all Goldies. Every single Gold Saint has something to offer and is unique in their own way. But if I were to pick one, then it'd be Aquarius Camus, I think. I like his character design, the way he was portrayed and how the whole dynamics between him as a master and Hyouga as his student looked like in the series. His final attack from the Sanctuary arc is also one of my favorite moment from the whole series.
As for the least favorite, Cancer Deathmask. He's not chivalry at all and his performance was really bad during the Hades arc, lmao.
