I'll never get over the fact that a person that is supposed to mentally be 20+ years old, gets flustered by a little 10 year old child. I think people forget Ars is mentally over 20+ years old. Considering he died at 15 years old, and has lived as Ars for over 10 or 15 years? Makes no sense.. (Yes, I get it's "just an anime", but that's still weird.)

Wait....how old are Licia and Ars again? I mean....I can't imagine them NOT getting married at some point but this seems early? Are they going to spend an ep or 2 on the actual wedding then? Otherwise that's a weird "big life event" that they'd be sweeping under the rug....

Uhm....yeah idk how I feel about this plot development so far...
@Ikano Not exactly uncommon for nobles to marry young during the Middle Ages. It especially makes sense as Ars is now the ruler of the house.

@Love_And_Forward Yeah....but it was weird the way they were trying to "romanticize" it. Kids that young shouldn't fully understanding the concept of "love"....granted Ars is Reincarnated but...idk....

I just take that part of it weird moreso than just the age I guess...but that's fiction for ya....

@Ikano The first time I fell in love, I was 8 years old. I'm sure Ars is older than 8.

Reincarnated Aristocrat is something special among anime. Characters think and plan about how to achieve their goals. They do not win by screaming loudly and suddenly become more powerful.
I'm expecting a great season as the stakes get higher.

Let's go! Second season has come~
I still love Licia Pleide! I just noticed she is voiced by Kana Hanazawa~!

Sending Licia Pleide to negotiate sounds risky. I hope she doesn't get abused physically, mentally, spiritually, or in any other way. I hope Ars will be there by her side, always, as he promised!

It was a good introductory episode for the second season, it was kind of sudden what happened in the final part but it left me with a warm heart, I'm looking forward to the rest of the adventure that begins

This story really shouldn't have been an isekai; it adds nothing and actively hurts everything. Ars is a modern 20-something adult, and he's still going around reacting to things like a child. Also, he fell in love with an underage girl at first sight? Creepy. It's a shame because the story is otherwise pretty enjoyable without that weird undercurrent.

it wasn't at first sight and do ppl not understand the concept of reincarnation? becuse it never fails, every reincarnation series, theres always a person crying "he's a __ something yr old falling in love with a kid"

incase you haven't noticed he is a kid himself. yes he has memories of his past life but that's it. everything else has been reset. he had to be re potty trained, re learn how to talk, how to walk. yes his memories helped him re learn that stuff faster than most his age but thats it. it gave him an advantage but doesn't change the fact he is a kid. it be weird if he was a 7 yr old hitting someone in their mid twenties. his physical/emotional/etc have all been be reset at birth. he just has memories of his past life. PAST life, is is not a 20 something year pretending to be a kid and going after a little girl. he IS a kid falling for a girl his age.

I know reincarnation isn't big in the west, but seriously what is so hard to understand about the concept?
@kalebsmoker I'd say the problem is that there are two distinct ways this trope can be written:
1 - Is an adult literally stack in a body of a child: they need to retrain their body, but their mind, memory and personality is, for the most part, transferred from their last life (personally I appreciate if they think in the voice of their original self, while speaking in new like for example Mushoku Tensei does) in that case if they get together with someone their age it most definitely feels creepy! Long lived race, or older partner aware of their situation feels much better. Though it would still be best to weight for real relationship until all participants are of age for the world they live in...

2 - A kid receives a set of memories from some past self that mostly gives them access to some knowledge of modern world, or pre-warning for curtain events or people. The problem is: the kid should be more lost on what to do with that, and be more distant to that supposed past self, and not outright identify with them... and unlike the first that second option usually is not well shown when it comes to what happens in the mind of our protagonist. Unlike the first who has to grow out of their past self, this one needs to grow into their 'fate given' knowledge. They tend to be shown to much like tiny adults, and not brilliant kids, and think adult thoughts, without childish ones to balance it out, so when their child selves show u in romantic context and nowhere else it can get pretty uncomfortable to see if they feel like that first option.

I'm glad to get back in the groove of this anime. Due to the nature, I don't think getting married before is a death flag. Licia and Ars are so cute!

I just finished watching the first season and in this season i hope ars will have a character development whether he got a power up or other things, because from what i sums up from this anime ars don't have any special ability, he only has appraisal skill which for me is really mediocre, he don't even have the power to use magic, maybe the author wanted to so something different from other isekai anime but this anime Mc is just lacking the power or ability. Might change my opinion after this season finished

One of the main things romantic series has held so far in the end of its timeline.
This marriage between a boy and a girl; a man and a woman, a male and female characters.
I get to watch it in the very first episode of the sequel... How nice.....

It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

just cause hes reincarnated with hes past memories doesn't mean hes mentally 20, our body's/biology set limit ho mature we can be, hes a kid trough and trough, kid with higher knowledge cause of hes past life

but hes not old man in kids body, he acts as mature as hes wife Licia so what u say doesn't apply here

@Sugram22
The argument that "just cause he's reincarnated with his past memories doesn't mean he's mentally 20" oversimplifies the concept of reincarnation with retained memories. If Ars has access to his memories, experiences, and decision-making skills from a previous life, those should logically influence his current mental maturity, regardless of his biological age. While biology may affect emotional regulation and impulse control, it does not erase accumulated knowledge, reasoning ability, or prior experiences. Hence, Ars should exhibit behaviors consistent with a blend of his prior life's mental maturity and his current physical age. Dismissing his mental development purely based on biological limits ignores the nuanced interaction between memory retention and cognitive development.
